Hi, I didn't go with the 722.6 transmission in my conversion so the prop shaft will be different. The differential I have is a low ratio diff from a w124 turbo diesel and is an asd version so can be run like a limited slip differential. In saying that I haven't had great luck with it only operating as a limited slip for a week or two and then back to open.
@@22rabbits I just saw your other videos and noticed you've gone done the 722.3 route. I personally think the 722.6 can take much more abuse. Also its five speed. The rear mount is easy to modify but the propshaft I think I might have to custom make it. Also did you modify the front anti roll bar ? as it touches the 606 sump. Thanks.
@@danthecarman8440 abuse wise I'm not sure I'd agree but being a 5 gear box would be great plus the 722.6 has a locking converter so should give better power delivery. The other thing to consider is you'll need to fit a ofgear controller for the 722.6 which is costly enough and can be problematic at times. The anti roll bar mounts did get modified. There is a video here about it.
@@22rabbits Yes I know about the transmission controller. I have one from ofgear and had it working in my w210 before i removed the engine to put in the w124. The other thing is the speedo. I found it good and simple to install. But for the w124 I need a selector from a w202 as its lower and fits the w124 console.
Hi there. I'm in the process of converting my w124 wagon to a om606 and auto 722.6 box. What prop shaft you using and diff ? Thanks

Hi! Did you solve the problem? I have a vibration issue, replaced many parts and it's even worse now. There's play in the splines in mine as well.
Yeah it was the flex disc that looked good was actually messed up internally. Couldn't be seen easily.
I'll be swapping two at a time in the future.
