I remember hearing that you have to mark it, but what you are saying and showing makes sense so i think there may be a lot of disinformation. Thank you for the video, Hervé.
Thank you for your comment. Yes I heard that too but it does not make any sense whatsoever as the shafts are balanced. And if the shafts were not balanced, you would have vibrations before and after dismantling everything.
So can you advice me on my case, i have w126 I replaced both flex discs F&R + center bearing and i still have a shudder vibration when acceleration.it is like when you put your mobile on vibration mode and phone start to ring when it is wooden table, i hope you got my point
Thank you for your comment. If you have replaced both flex + center bearing, it could be the gearbox support that need changing, the differencial has 2 rubbers as well. Maybe they need changing. But it could be as well that the propshaft has lost some of it´s balancing weight. If it is the case, you will need to remove it and bring it to a specialist for balancing.
Are you driving on 225/55r16? I mean they are 3.06% bigger in diameter and thats only 0.06% more than spanish "ITV" allows... Do they accept your tyre's? Or do you just pass the "ITV" on other tyres?
Thank you for your comment. I had an offer that I could not pass on 8 rims with tires 225/55 16 for only €100. Of course I bought them. My car is normally equipped with tires 195/65 15 and the ones fitted on my car are 215/45 16 to stay within the 3%.
There is no hope really 🥴.... Why do you need to mark something that is ALREADY BALANCED, to make sure it is not out of balance? Do you realise what you are saying? Never mind... Good luck!

Interesting for sure I always heard need to mark and that’s what I have been doing without thinking more closely 😁
Marking part I always done at the splines so yess I got it same spline for sure ☺️
Thank you for your comment 👍
Just out of interest, the splines are full of grease. How do you mark something like this?
I wiped away dirt and put white paint at the end of splines worked pretty good I would say.
Is the spline part that goes in the front part of the drive shaft a slip yoke? Does it go in and out with bumps?
Thank you for your comment. I have made a video on how to remove it. You will see it on my channel.

I think it depends on a car. For example in my BMW E39 a driveshaft was balanced in one piece in factory, so you have to mark when taking apart:)
