Great video!! it's 2024! Thank You So Very Much for the information in this Awesome video. it Realy helped me out with putting a LED lightbar on my 1997 honda fourtrax300 2x4. i'm glad that i did Not have to put in a switch and relay for the light bar. i hooked the light bar up like you did. :)
I know this is going back a couple years but quick question.. Why do the high beams not come on in the regular headlights if the wire from the led bar is just spliced in? Is it cut and not hooked up to the headlight bulbs ?
Yes, it's a good way to do it because if you put a switch in you have to put a relay and as well and a fuse. They're also a blow the switch all the time. I'm doing my four wheeler the same way you did
@@thelifeofjessejames your aloud using them here ounce there connected to the high beams would there be enough power from the high beams to power both the bar and the light
@@dashcamdude6690 that completely depends on the vehicle and the light bar. I personally would just get a simple switch and run it with that to be safe
I've got a 6" light bar that I got for my rzr. Your idea of hooking the lights to the high beam is EXACTLY what I want to do. Thanks for the idea.

thank you i am soon hoping to aquire a honda atv and this will be helpfull
Super simple the way they have it all wired. Worked well for us, never gave a lick of trouble
Have you had any fuses pop since doing such a good job?
This was many years ago but I didn’t have any problems with that setup it actually worked really well
So these have a blue, white and dark green wire ... you stated Blue is high beam ... which is the negative wire? thank you
Dark green if I remember correctly but this was a long time ago and I don’t have that bike anymore
Thank you@@thelifeofjessejames
Good video appreciate it
Very helpful dude👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks!
It's supposed to be how to video...... not a how to be proud video.........JJ....
So this was 2 years ago, how's the wiring doing? Anything burnt out? People say you can burn out wires that way
No idea. Sold that quad a while ago
Thanks for sharing, I need a light on my scooter
Which wire to you connect to the blue? Where does the other wire go? Thanks. Great vid.
The red is power so it goes to the blue on the Honda. The black is ground so it can go to any viable ground
@@thelifeofjessejames what color is growned white or green
@@hondaboys5433 I don't remember, this was years ago. Sorry
@@hondaboys5433 Ground is Dark Green, White is Low Beam, Blue is Hi-Beam
Great job.
So red wire spliced to the blue. Did you just connect the other wire to a ground connection, like the frame?
I can't remember. I believe I grounded it to one of the bolts on that rack
What kind of quad is it
Trαgedγ 1808 ford challenger v3
Looks like a Honda Rancher
Honda fourtrax
It's NOT a quad, Honda doesn't make a quad!!!!. it's a Honda TRX300 FOURTRAX. Suzuki makes a quad!!!!
Is it the same on a 2005 Honda Rancher?
Probably seeing as it is also a Honda but I don't know
Thanks I don’t know how to turn them on
Could you get away with hooking up the light bar to high beams of your car with out a switch
I'm sure you definitely could. Just find out which wire goes to the high beams and tap into it. Keep in mind this wouldn't necessarily be legal
