Great video on the older 6f. I'm building a 2011 escape unit now. It has the older center support without the dish. I swapped it out with the gen2. The forward clutch snapring popped out was the causal part.

I am replacing an original 2016 valve body with a new one recently made. Some of the 89mm bolts will not fully seat, they stop short about 3/8" from seating. Has the casting been modified over the years to where the bolts are different in length now? For instance the two "A" length bolts at the top of the image at timestamp 2:49 on the video will not seat fully.
    Thanks

I've bought two special tools ever. One is the clutch alignment tool and the other was the fan removal tool for my BMW e46. It's refreshing to see the professionals feel the same way about special tools. I have a welder and other tools needed to mostly get by building my own.

Hi, as always great videos and very informative.
I have a question if you don't mind.
    I have 2016 ford escape 1.6 ecoboost.
The only problem that I have in my automatic transmission is a 2 seconds grinding noise before a strong engaging when I turn the gear from neutral or parking into drive, into reverse is fine.
I tried draining and refilling the transmission fluid 3 Times so far and it is not improving.
I am currently confused and wondering is it a transmission gear issue or solenoid or valve body or the power transfer unit/case.
If by any chance you have any suggestions I would appreciate it! Thanks
