37 Year Old Female Starts a Youtube - And I Feel Like a Bit of a Failure

  • I filmed this video on the day I discovered the now almost famous first video by successful new TH-camr @IndoorKat titled: "37 year old female starts a TH-cam channel". This video is a good example of what not to do as TH-cam creators, that is, compare our success to others!
Indoor Kat's first video has taken the TH-cam world by storm! Originally when I wrote the description of this video, Indoor Kats first video had already gained 14k views and earned her 1.87k subscribers! in a very short space of time. Fast forward 3 months, and Indoor Kat now has 21k subscribers and 37 year old female starts a TH-cam has gained a whopping 178k views! Not bad for a woman who only started creating TH-cam videos this year! 👏
This was a nice little wake-up call for my small channel. As it stands now I have 1.4k subscribers... and I have been on TH-cam for over 5 years (well I have technically been posting videos on this channel for approximately 3 years... but still! Kat kicked my arse after just one video! 😂)
Although I couldn't help but briefly compare Indoor Kat's TH-cam success to mine, this was short-lived. I have since put all of my time, energy and focus on improving my own channel's growth (A good example of this is the fact that I'm taking the time to go back into older videos such as this one to edit the video titles, tags and description to help them rank better in SEO). One big reason my channel hasn't yet gained a lot of traction is because I made SEO a last priority... until now!
I wish Indoor Kat nothing but the best. I love her videos, they are motivational and inspirational for me! But let's all stop comparing our achievements to others, kapish!? There's room for us all in TH-cam Land.

Thanks for your comment Para 😊 I agree! We should always be our authentic selves! Don't worry, I don't think Kat is "better" then me, maybe with some of her creative skills sure, but not as a person, we are all unique 😊 Yeah, slowly but surely my wonderful audience is finding me! 🥰

Ma'am your videos are very beautiful. Even with your many subscriptions you don't get any views like that. Your channel's videos are not properly SEO'd. I am a TH-cam expert. I came across your channel, saw so many beautiful videos. But there are no views. Because your channel SEO is very low.

If you want, I can do proper SEO for your channel's videos,,,, then you can see for yourself that your channel will get such ranking.

The right people will find you. You are here to connect with those people. I've been subscribing and watching TH-cam channels for 10 years now and I have to say, I watch all age brackets, people who seem to have it together, and those that do not pretend to, people that some would call beautiful and people some would call not attractive, people that do lots of editing and people that do zero, people living in grand houses and some that live off grid in a tiny cabin. Don't let others get in your head. We all have something to offer. If you try to copy someone else, you are not being authentic and true to yourself. 💙 I have thought of starting a channel myself, for a while now, and I haven't, so you are doing far better than me in that department. I wish you the best ~Rachelle in Maine USA

I also saw the her video and subscribed right away. In the moment, I also thought, what are you thinking, doing YT at your age! I posted my first video in July of 2023. I am very clueless! Stepping back I had to realize she brought to the table much more than I did to start. The stress she must be under now to produce another top producing video, much more than I could handle right now! I loved your transparency in this video, be you, you are enough, you are exactly where you are supposed to be, learning your way, keep on keeping on doing it your way. 💝

Thanks for your lovely message Jaye and for taking the time to watch my video 😊🙏 Congrats on starting your own channel! It's never too late to do what you love! I will definitely check out one of your videos soon 💛
We are all brave for starting a TH-cam channel! Yes I agree that she must be under a lot of pressure to keep up such a high standard of work!
I also said to one of the guys who commented on her video that I would be terrified if I was her 😂 But that it's good she's taking her time to make the next video and respond to messages 😊 I know I would feel pressured to respond to every message if I were her 😄
Not only that, but what if she decides TH-cam isn't for her? Talk about feeling like you've let the team down lol. She must feel kinda locked in now. That isn't the case of course but it may feel like that.
Although I would have liked if my channel grew a BIT faster than it did... I'm also happy that it didn't explode like hers has. Honestly I couldn't have handled the pressure I don't think! It's been nice having time to explore different niches before having many subscribers and getting more comfortable speaking in front of a camera 🙂
I think I may end up turning this long blurb into a video in and of itself seeing as this video did so well 😂 If so I will shorten all I've said here down 😋
All the best with your channel! 🥳 Enjoy the journey and please never compare yourself to anyone else! Just have fun with it! ❤

I found your video after Kat's video, and I like both of your vibes! I'm glad you acknowledged how far you've come. I think it's really easy to forget how much progress we've made in life (especially the inner work that only we can see).
I'm 33 and feel behind in life as well. It's hard to not compare our outward success with others, but we don't really know their journey.
I heard a quote (that I'm definitely going to butcher and don't even remember who said it), but it went something like, "We compare our insides with other people's outsides." Basically, we see their (her - Kat's) outward success, but we really don't know if she's been working in a related field or had help creating the video or...anything. But we judge ourselves because we see all our stumbles, our insecurities, our failures, the times we've started and stopped only to restart again -- and we judged ourselves unfairly for those.
Anyway, as someone who's also on a slow growth path, I see you. :) Slow growth doesn't mean we won't ever get where we want. It just gives ourselves more time to reflect on our path.
I'll leave you with one more thought to ponder. Kat's video has now gotten over 85,000 views and over 10,000 followers. Maybe she's now thinking, "Oh shit, I need to create something even better for the next video and the next. How can I top that last one?"
Sometimes starting out slow and not having a lot of people looking at our stuff (and let's be honest: 1,200 subscribers IS a success) allows us the chance to explore our voice, our brand, and what we want to create and bring to the table without feeling like we have to perform or stay in an expected box. There's freedom in that.

      Hi there!
Thanks for your lovely reflective message 🥰🙏 I just found it in my "Held for Review" folder (not sure why? Gotta keep an eye on that one! 😋)
Love all you have said here and I agree with you! 😊 I created two follow-up Vlogs related to Kat's success (Part 2 is scheduled for release this weekend) and in them (and also in some of the discussions I've had) I have said similar things re having the time and space to figure out our niche's and find our voices, etc.
Kat must indeed be feeling very boxed in right now. So much pressure to maintain such a high standard of work! 😬 Truth be told I wouldn't want to be in her shoes... yet. I couldn't have handled the pressure honestly! There are pro's and cons to everything in life.
There's also a lot that can be said for delayed satisfaction. As humans we tend to value more what we worked long and hard for. I know I will appreciate once I finally monetize my channel so much more.
Just like when I shed a tear when I reached the 1k subscriber milestone and wished I could have shared that moment with my late mum. I know she would have been there in spirit cheering me on 😇 Dad too.
I'm OK with all my past "stuff ups" and awkward moments as that's all part of the inner growth journey. It's nice to look back not with a critical eye but a smile to see how far we have come as creators 🙂
It's a marathon not a sprint. So many hugely successful TH-camrs have been burning out lately! Wouldn't want to be in their shoes. I don't care for fame, it's the creative journey that matters 💛
I look forward to checking out some of your videos soon! Thanks for stopping by and for all of the kind words you shared. It's always nice to meet other late bloomers 🥰

    Hi there!
I believe that success isn't measured by numbers. It's more about becoming the person you want to be.
You felt a bit down, but you still wanted to make this video and lift up the channel/video you watched from Indoor Kat. That shows to me that you are on the right path. Being relaxed and happy that you are on the right journey is far more important than some numbers. Don't forget that there are alot of factors that you can't really control, so don't be to hard on yourself!

Please don't let YT define your life. The real world can be tough as we all know, many of us struggleday to day in one way or another, you're not alone 🫂 How many subs you have on YT means nothing in the real world, you have nice comments from nice people then there's the others who don't say anything nice in the comments this is one reason I feel you should not let YT define your life. Please believe that real life is far more important than YT.

Hey, gone had a look. .. Beginners luck is what first comes to mind. Do not be disillusioned. Having watched, and as is typical of a introverted person, she has clearly thought about all the in's and out's of youtubing, and the whole ecosphere, the now 2024 crowded youtube space, how to differentiate, how to engage on something that meets something she experiences and misses that others likely are too. So her first video probably reflects over a year and thousand of hours of consideration and technical learning, all distilled and nuanced into that first video.
Also re love and romance, you come across as a little aspie. This is a compliment from me. You mention mental health. Those with asperger's, particularly females that do not know it, often end up with other diagnosed mental conditions, because of the differences in the way they see the world, what excites them, what is meaningful to them. If you do not know of being aspie, and you are, this is worth exploring. Lucked out in love is part of this. So offering you a possible relevant life tip. If it fits, more will click and then the path to what you want can slowly emerge through better knowing who you are and why you are as you are, and that while it comes with challenges, it also comes with gifts. Then comes personal acceptance, better understanding of your needs and what works and where to find someone compatible. Like a key that unlocks the mystery of oneself and life not flowing forward like you watch it happening in so many others. Just a thought. Might not be right. If right, will help. Cheers.

    • @SimplyNobel
      @SimplyNobel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thanks for your message Cam 🙂
Yeah you're probably right re a heck of a lot of contemplation, study etc going into Kat's first video.
As for the asperger's comment. I have considered that I may be on the spectrum in the past. One thing I struggled with a lot in the past was maintaining eye contact. That said, I am pretty good at emotionally reading people and I'm not sure if the same can be said for a lot of people with asperger's.
End of the day I don't like to put a label on myself. I'm just different and that's OK. And have always been a hopeless romantic. But it's good to believe that true love exists despite the many disappointments I have had in life.
I do understand myself well. Yoga and meditation is medicine for me. Thanks for suggesting it in a non insulting way 😉 Maybe I am maybe I'm not. Doesn't really matter at the end of the day 🙂

@nobelsoul All makes sense to me. Just one add, aspies can be deeply emotionally sensitive. And can be good at emotionally reading people in a direct sense - empathic. Strong individual differences with the aspie group. Its a spectrum in itself.
As for true love. it can happen when you least expect, and it can take a little while to even realise it is happening. I am older, happened with another aspie a few years ago. So much, telepathic, knowing, independent confirmation of sense in being, .. and now being lost from long covid impacts, past trauma, and I think like myself some 'fearful attachment' dynamics. I also think just met something genuine deep real. To really discover your love someone for them, and you realise so much of your careful life plans, priorities are all somehow changed and possibly up for grabs with this new deeply valued connection, it is also confronting and challenging and sometimes people initially just run! Then after a time they reconsider, confront their fears. I hope this happens here.
It is about 3 years now, and she is still present in my mind when I first wake, and there throughout every day in my thoughts. All with a life of its own.
All relationships take effort. When it is real and genuine, the difference is: "The effort is effortless." You just keep wanting to.
Big smile to you. And hope that unexpected soul connection is just around the corner, or when the time is right.
      Enjoy it.

@@CamAustralia001Thanks Cam 😊 I hope it works out with you and the lady you fell in love with. If you don't mind me asking, do you have aspie yourself? Yes relationships can bring out the best and worst in us. I agree that it should feel like effortless effort 🙂
Yes I am a highly sensitive person. Sensitive to the energy of those around me. I agree (whether I have asperger's or not) that life can be very challenging but it's getting better now that I'm olde. I am getting stronger every day 😊
Thank you. The man of my dreams will show up when I least expect it, I agree with that 🙂 It will happen when it's meant to happen and we are both ready! For now I'm enjoying just focusing on my own dreams and aspirations for now.

@@SimplyNobel [If you don't mind me asking, do you have aspie yourself?] Yes, I believe so. Not been formally diagnosed, but as a key to unlock, yes. And also my "odd ones" school friends I formed by own group of, not belonging to any other standard group, most now identify with being aspie.
Yes as aspies we can be difficult. Me included, and it is hard not to be at times. With age, you refine, get better.
Good to focus on just you and let the universe bring that person.
And I really appreciate your wish for me and the person I met.
I recall have a kiss and cuddle, and driving home for over an hour just filled with the most amazing heart joy. Not happiness, not oxytocine, not male got a kiss from a girl testosterone - affirming deep spiritual joy, that felt like a promise forward of what was going to come of this meeting.
In the end, things like aspie, neuro-divergent, attachment styles, non of these define us, but they are keys to major patterns that form us. So they quicken the path to discover and learn how to recognise and be our more true authentic selves - with self acceptance. Also help us recognise and utilising the positives, work on the negatives.
Working on our selves, no relationship, is so important. Being in a genuine mutually valuing relationship is also so important.
I think you are clearly on the right path.
Thanks, really appreciate your responses and questions.

    • @CamAustralia001
      @CamAustralia001 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

One more thing. Sometimes you can be aspie and empath. It is confusing, as you seem to have two ends of a spectrum, like a dumbell shape, and not so much integration in the middle ground - which is also the neurotypical playground of "normal".
I think this can happen if one of the parents is aspie or highly intellectual and attract their opposite, heart strong partner. So genes mix, and we get both ends of the spectrum. (Confusing till you work it out.)

Hey (Heidi, I believe?) - just watched your super powerful video, and have a lot of thoughts.
Though we're at different stages in life, I totally get you. I don't know your full circumstances, so I wouldn't want to give unsolicited advice, but what I can do is share what I've been up to recently.
I've been blogging about men's style since 2019, and it's not quite taken off as I hoped. I've tried blogging, TH-cam, and online courses, with mixed success. For various reasons, I've cycled back around to looking at growing a TH-cam channel, and for the past few weeks, I've been binge watching all the TH-cam growth videos I can find, and have tried to distil TH-cam success into a replicable formula. I've learned a lot, but some of the key pieces of advice I think are useful to share are as follows:
    1. At least in my niche, I've identified that VALUE is a huge part of TH-cam (and business in general). I used to look at the activities I was doing as primarily benefiting me first, and my audience second: flip that. You should have a burning desire to deliver as much value to your audience as possible, and you will naturally be rewarded for that service. In practice, this hasn't changed my content much, but it's a useful lens to base all of your decisions on.
    2. Ideas are the root of a video's success. If I create a video called '10 style tips', even if it's the best edited, and most engaging video, it will flop. Why? Because the idea is boring, and why would someone come to me for advice, if there are established TH-camrs creating the exact same content? Now, there's an important distinction here between topic and idea - because I can create a video that covers the same topic/content as '10 style tips', but I might package it with a more exciting idea, such as 'how you can learn from my dreadful style', where I look back at photos of my younger self, and deliver the tips as a story throughout my life.
    3. Understand your audience. Since I first learned the power of defining your audience and customer 'avatars' a few years ago, I've used it on pretty much every project I've worked on. From sales material, to training videos for work: this is the foundation of any successful product. Who are they, what are their problems, desires, thoughts? Once you have a good idea of who you're trying to appeal to, make videos catered to this person, and this person only. By the looks of it, your channel trailer describes your niche, so I'd recommend sticking quite rigidly to a specific topic. Unfortunately this is a bit harder to do if you're looking to become a more general vlogger, but even then I'd argue you could do well by 'creating' your audience, and then creating videos to attract and delight a specific type of person.
    4. Trend surfing. Some TH-camrs get their break by hopping on a trend at the right time, and doing something unique with it. And then when you have an established audience, the game changes. But make sure these trends are relevant and authentic to yourself, and your audience you've defined.
    5. Frontload your effort. I'm sure you already know this, but your thumbnail, title, and first 30 seconds of the video are the most important part of your video. Somebody can't watch the 2nd minute if they don't watch the first. In fact, the attention-grabbing title is the only reason I clicked on this video, and I was hooked by your intro and kept watching. So if you want a skill to try and improve on, I'd recommend mastering the 'packaging' of your content. For example, your video 'Interviewing People from my Hometown' - sorry if I sound harsh, but why would anyone click that? If you changed it to something like: 'I revisited my hometown, and it looked like THIS...', and the thumbnail was of a run-down house or something, that amps up the curiosity and people have a reason to click. Alternatively, if you don't want to lean into curiosity, lean into a benefit. For example, instead of '10 style tips', a more clickable title would be 'Want to supercharge your style? HERE'S HOW'
I'm sorry - this has been a complete rambling mess, but I hope this gives you some value.
Success on TH-cam is completely possible, and it's totally within your control. Good luck ☺

      @SimplyNobel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi there,
Thanks a lot for taking the time to analyse my channel and give me some great advice 😊 Yes Heidi is correct 👍 My trailer needs an update though 😋
I agree re providing value. Half the problem is that I get bored with exploring just one niche lol. That's not really a problem though... exploring different niches has helped me clarify where I want this channel to go long term. I spent some more time fine tuning my ideas today 🙂 Not 100% clear yet but I will be after creating these videos and seeing which ones do well.
My top video was a geometry tutorial video. I tried dabbling in that again this year but it's not something I want to continue. Just because it did well doesn't mean it needs to be a life sentence ya know? It needs to appeal to my audience yes but also me as the creator if I want this channel to continue to be enjoyable and sustainable.
Going forward I will be doing a few more sound baths as that is good for people (and for me) and from there I will re-evaluate. I also will be expirementing with a few creative day-in-the-life type vlogs. Just so people can get to know me the creator a bit more. Won't make too many though. Nowadays you need to be quite the cinematographer in order to do well in that field!
No offense taken, however, to answer your question... a subscriber specifically requested that I interview locals and another also showed a lot of interest in it! I have created a separate channel for this. It will also be about showing people around New Zealand a bit and teaching them about our culture via the people I interview. It may not be your cup of tea but for some who may be interested in visiting this country is. In all honesty though I see that channel fizzling out. One channel is enough to manage! 🤪
Anyway thanks again for all the advice... excuse me for not responding to all of it but I read it all and I appreciate your feedback 🙏 Well done with how well your channel is going. You clearly know how to draw in the right crowd! Keep it up! 👍

    • @SimplyNobel
      @SimplyNobel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Also I appreciate your honesty re the local interviewing thing. You may be right it may only appeal to a small number of people and it may be fun to do once or twice but I already felt intuitively that it may fizzle out. Hence why I've expanded it to being more of an outdoors NZ channel but again... you need great video equipment (and money to travel! 😄) to get those videos to stand out!
I may be better off interviewing people in the health and wellness field in the future. But even just interviewing randoms for the sake of practicing my interviewing skills can't hurt (and getting to know my neighbours of course!), regardless of whether or not anyone tunes in 🙂
It's good to have an expiremental channel on the side I think. It gives me room to play and it helps me see what sticks. I don't want to muck around with this channel too much anymore, hence why I created a second one 🙂
I re-read the part in your message that said that your channel hasn't done as well as you hoped. I don't know if you have hidden a ton of videos but if not, it looks like pretty rapid growth to me! 😊 Keep at it you'll get there! Wherever "there" is for you.
Going to enjoy a bit of a TH-cam detox now. I need it! 😄 Have a good weekend and thanks again for your time and helpful advice 🙂 All the best!

Thanks, Steve! 😊 4 Channels, that's a lot! I had a brief look at your channel. Will check it out properly soon! Am just knee-deep in house organizing right now (videos to come!)
Bit of a random spiel after you said that you have 4 channels:
I have two other spare channels but have decided to fully focus on this one for now in my attempt to finally monetize it🤞 That said, I will be creating another "37-Year-Old Female Starts a TH-cam" video on a brand new channel soon 😄🤫
A lady recently suggested that I download all my videos, upload them on a new channel and delete this one. As new channels are getting more of a boost (I noticed that too!).
I have come too far with this one to give it up. That plus I want to start afresh. It will just be a trial... if no major traction then I will simply move the videos to this channel and carry on 🙂

@@SimplyNobel I don't know about starting a new channel. In my opinion, that may confuse people. I would stick with what you have since people are already subscribing to this one. Nowadays I upload to a channel when I feel like it. I don't have time for all those channels so I do it when I feel like it but there is one channel I try to do weekly since it is a larger one. The one I'm writing to you from, I'm not sure what I want it to be. It started out as a photography channel since I'm a photographer and video editor. I don't want to do tutorials so I think I'll just show my work but I also have to talk on it as well. People like that. Then I wanted to change it back to guitar. It's confusing and I don't want to mesh the two. I also don't want another channel. I may turn it into a tech channel since I work in the tech / computer industry...computer tips and help. Who knows. Hope this helps.

Haha I definitely would have confused my subscribers this year by swinging back and forth between channels! Sounds like you are in a similar predicament when it comes to deciding on which niche to go with. It's tricky when you're a creative and enjoy variety!
My subscribers mostly all agreed with my decision to bring everything back to this channel, for now anyway 🙂
Thanks re the massive compliment re Indoor Kat (I take it you didn't subscribe to her channel? Lol) You know what's funny, I can spend hours editing a video (like I did last night and today) but this video was without a single cut! I'm happy when I achieve that but it's rare. Goes to show, less is often more (that and it helped that Indoor Kat's video did so well and that I got emotional of course 😂)
Yeah slowly but surely I'm building a beautiful loyal following on here. I love when you start to connect with your audience. One of the best parts of being on TH-cam IMO 🙂

    • @SimplyNobel
      @SimplyNobel  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Re Indoor Kat, I was watching a video by a man who started a brand-new one despite having over 4000 subscribers (th-cam.com/video/AIedVsicOuQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=S3RDEwF8xX11urjk) In it, he mentioned Indoor Kat because he said that it's best to schedule videos in advance. Had she done that, the second and third videos would have likely done way better! But she has taken three-week gaps between releasing videos.
Fair enough though, a huge amount of work goes into them. That's why I would never want to get as complicated with my videos as a one-man team... too stressful! She must always feel like she is chasing her tail now!
I could be wrong, maybe it's all part of her game plan. People may enjoy her videos more if they see them less frequently.
Releasing a video every three weeks is still pretty consistent! I'm sure it won't affect her stats too much if she keeps it up. Aiming for one video per week for channels like hers would be unrealistic, I think, especially when first starting!

It could help you a lot to study/research social media strategy, basics of design and visual language, thumbnail design and speech. Study your favorite youtubers. Giving a constructive critique, your background isn’t working, gives visual saturation to your frame/thumbnails without information, gives a sense of constriction as it’s too close, also is from a very particular taste, not widely appealing, blank wall is better. I saw it and here's the thing. I've seen like the first 4 mins of it and Icould immediately tell that she's definitely someone who's in the media or cinematography industry and not someone who's just starting. Like you said, her confidence and acting pretty much shows that in spades and her editing skills and the music choice and everything else. It just shows she's put loads of thought and knowledge and is in no way an amateur like most newbs. It's just an overall bangup first video but it also sets up really bad expectations in people and that's really unfair especially for any newbie starting out. So I get where you're coming from. But pls don't compare to her. Because everyone is on a different journey and I know it's human to compare and all except you have your own tribe here and that's really all that matters. Honestly, you're doing a lot more brave than most ppl who haven't even started yet so good on you. Besides, i finished your video and didn't finish hers so that's something :)

    • @SimplyNobel
      @SimplyNobel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Surely eh? Or she may have spent all year learning these editing skills. It's possible she is just naturally gifted though. I definitely think she's an actress... she did mention improv.
I watched her video again yesterday and noticed a huge number of cuts in her video. At first I thought that was because she was maybe still uncomfortable talking to a camera and took lots of takes but I now think that they are automated cuts where the editor takes out any obvious spaces.
I noticed the same thing with a video by a guy who was talking about how less editing is becoming popular on TH-cam but there seemed to be a cut after every one of his sentences! It's a shame that people feel the need to cover every pause... it's very unnatural.

I've had similar feelings about both love and my life in general this past year, so I totally understand where you're coming from in this video.
You genuinely seem like a kind, wonderful person. Don't let these moments dull your luster!
Only you can write your story, not the circumstances you're currently in. 😊❤

Thanks for your lovely message Lolander 🥰🙏 I'm sorry you have had similar feelings but hopefully it helps seeing videos of others going through similar hardships 😊
Life is challenging at times but I believe that everything happens the way it does in order to build our strength. No I won't let these moments dull my lustre... I will use them to bounce back higher than before! 😁
Thanks for your kind words 🙏 All of the very best to you and your life's journey... keep moving forward and know that everything will be OK 😊

Not anotherone 😖 Why do you have to put yourself down publicly? Just because someone else does something well doesn't make YOU a failure! You have thousands of clicks, more than most...

I didn't put myself down too much 😉 Yes I'm thankful for how well this video did 🙂 Took me years to reach 1k subscribers however. That's OK... we got there! 😊

Start a new channel, delete this one and download your videos. New channels get pushed more

      Heya, Thanks for the advice!
Yeah, I agree that new channels are getting pushed out more! I did move a lot of my videos to two other channels, however they weren't new.
Not sure I want to start all over! Will see how I go over the next month or two and reassess from there 🙂
If still no movement... I will definitely look into starting afresh with a clear niche. Cheers!

PS I love knitting, cross stitch and crochet! Haven't done any crochet work since I was a child however. Have subscribed to your channel. I'll know where to go when I want to get back into it 😉

Get where you can talk for 30 minutes and not say a cotton pickin' thing the whole time, then chop the video up in thousand pieces with sound effects and stupid movie clips. I'm amazed what attracts people too. It don't take much evidently.

Are you referring to Indoor Kat's video or people on TH-cam in general? I think she did a great job for her first video! There's a lot that goes into editing.
I agree that many over-do it though. I'm not a fan of the super fast cuts on many videos! They only increase peoples short attention spans! Thanks for your comment 🙂

@@SimplyNobel Just my observation in general. No particular video. I'm a 70 year old man and those type videos don't appeal to me. I'm more of a get to the point quickly and let's get it over kind of guy but I've observed the more nonsense the more kids like it. I guess it's their entertainment.
