While they are completing my homework, and condensing the necessary knowledge into a slide that I will study for 30 minutes a day, I spend the extra time completing other intellectual works and learning about concepts in business and real estate.

Such an illuminating lecture with many interconnected ideas and broad, abstract topics-and this was only the introduction and overview to the course! Being an avid fan of Jordan for quite some time now (~1st half of 2018 until current time) it is interesting to see how the path he took to evolve himself personality wise and how his meteoric rise to fame and what he advocates makes perfect logical sense based on his academic roots seen here. His various idiosyncratic, mythological, idiomatic expressions such as "save said person/object from the belly of a whale" or "slay the dragon" were familiar and comforting to hear since the underlying concepts from those proverbs are at the core of his message that he still tries to convey even in present times 8+ years from the date of this recorded lecture. And it was also cool to see how animated he was in presenting and articulating the multi-dimensional concepts while inserting little bits of humour and comedic wit along the way; it is rare to see that much enthusiasm towards an academic discipline from a professor nowadays. Looking forward to consuming the information and complex ideas from the following videos contained in this lecture playlist.

I've been studying a bachelor of Psychology for just under three years, and I can say that none of my professors have had the capacity to articulate the concepts relating to personality as well has JBP. Most of my professors hardly know the content themselves, constantly reading their notes and not engaging with students. Oh how I wish I could have studied under Peterson.
Watching this lecture was so refreshing and inspiring. I think I’m now more certain, than I already was, that I want to major in Psychology. Although I won’t be able to be a student of yours - which is one of my biggest wishes - I know that studying Psychology regardless of the place (given that the university is decent) will reflect positively in many different aspects of my life, such as personal life choices, career and ways to affect the world. Man I wish I had a professor like this in uni. I'm watching this because it interests me what he has to say, and I would've liked to read the articles for the course. Actually someone who is able to convey dark motivations from people, like causing destruction just because you want to see the world burn, but he also has a philosophy of life to prevent you from having those darker motivations.
Before I listen to what you have to say about Robert Crumb, I have to mention that I'm pretty sure he's the one who designed the visual for the waking nightmare I had the other night. I was playing Pandora while I slept, and woke up to "Somebody to Love" by Jefferson Airplane. The song was a monster. It turned into a monster to terrify me. I had a full blown panic attack. The monster was part animal and part machine. The reverb on the guitars made it sound like a goose and an elephant. The tempo was the rate at which it was chasing me. But it already had me because it was all my worst fears. It was death and a fate worse than death. It might have been part tank. Maybe part archaic cartoon computer or spaceship or something. It sounded like Vietnam, the horrible historical context in which the song was written. It contained a story involving the song and a short conversation between my father and my twelve year old self during the year before he committed suicide. My sister helped me unpack the song and validated me that, indeed, it is a terrifying song. The sound is violent and the lyrics are entirely about attachment driven by the loss of innocence and the panic that ensues. It is a song of alienation, not love at all. It's about clinging to the next thing you find to avoid the feeling of utter hopelessness that comes with disillusionment, which, in the case of mass psychedelic experimentation, is accompanied by a distinct knowledge that we've all been brainwashed (ironically, the LSD was part of the brainwashing that sort of backfired). The song is about being in the underworld and grasping at something or someone to save you from it. It's about being perpetually full of angst. It's about being Cain. I think it describes a Cluster B culture. Given that it's about the underworld, it's not surprising that their other most famous song is based on Alice in Wonderland. So I can't wait to hear what virtual you are about to say about Robert Crumb, the Man Who Drew My Doom. Maybe the Ice Cream Kid is chasing me. The funniest thing to me about watching this today is the segment where he talks about “What we should do” as I am in phase transition right now lol I moved to Guatemala after I completed my degree program in Regenerative Organic Agriculture & briefly did some volunteer work in one region, but the guy was a drunk & kept trying to get more money from me as I’m a disabled vet on a decent pension. So now I moved to another city, I’m working on my Spanish 3 days a week with a tutor, got a gym membership & gradually meeting people...but what should I do? I think the priority should be the language development so I can communicate with new people down here, then I can look at communicating ideas for business or volunteer ventures. I’ve decided that loose plans are good as I’ve found truth over the course of my life in the saying that “the best laid plans go to waste”

It's interesting to see how the people who are drawn to Jordan Peterson are usually looking for a "father figure" because they may not have that person in their own lives or may have a bad relationship with their own fathers. Psychology at its finest!!
I had a great father, and I still love hearing him and learn something with each lecture.
I never really had a father figure, but such a concept is alien to me. I can't even imagine what it's like to have a father kind of person.
I am so excited after watching this that I am gonna read all the books and gonna follow the whole curriculum. I am glad I have found him.

Such an illuminating lecture with many interconnected ideas and broad, abstract topics-and this was only the introduction and overview to the course! Being an avid fan of Jordan for quite some time now (~1st half of 2018 until current time) it is interesting to see how the path he took to evolve himself personality wise and how his meteoric rise to fame and what he advocates makes perfect logical sense based on his academic roots seen here. His various idiosyncratic, mythological, idiomatic expressions such as "save said person/object from the belly of a whale" or "slay the dragon" were familiar and comforting to hear since the underlying concepts from those proverbs are at the core of his message that he still tries to convey even in present times 8+ years from the date of this recorded lecture. And it was also cool to see how animated he was in presenting and articulating the multi-dimensional concepts while inserting little bits of humour and comedic wit along the way; it is rare to see that much enthusiasm towards an academic discipline from a professor nowadays. Looking forward to consuming the information and complex ideas from the following videos contained in this lecture playlist.

I've been studying a bachelor of Psychology for just under three years, and I can say that none of my professors have had the capacity to articulate the concepts relating to personality as well has JBP. Most of my professors hardly know the content themselves, constantly reading their notes and not engaging with students. Oh how I wish I could have studied under Peterson.

Man I wish I had a professor like this in uni. I'm watching this because it interests me what he has to say, and I would've liked to read the articles for the course. Actually someone who is able to convey dark motivations from people, like causing destruction just because you want to see the world burn, but he also has a philosophy of life to prevent you from having those darker motivations.

Before I listen to what you have to say about Robert Crumb, I have to mention that I'm pretty sure he's the one who designed the visual for the waking nightmare I had the other night. I was playing Pandora while I slept, and woke up to "Somebody to Love" by Jefferson Airplane. The song was a monster. It turned into a monster to terrify me. I had a full blown panic attack. The monster was part animal and part machine. The reverb on the guitars made it sound like a goose and an elephant. The tempo was the rate at which it was chasing me. But it already had me because it was all my worst fears. It was death and a fate worse than death. It might have been part tank. Maybe part archaic cartoon computer or spaceship or something. It sounded like Vietnam, the horrible historical context in which the song was written. It contained a story involving the song and a short conversation between my father and my twelve year old self during the year before he committed suicide.
My sister helped me unpack the song and validated me that, indeed, it is a terrifying song. The sound is violent and the lyrics are entirely about attachment driven by the loss of innocence and the panic that ensues. It is a song of alienation, not love at all. It's about clinging to the next thing you find to avoid the feeling of utter hopelessness that comes with disillusionment, which, in the case of mass psychedelic experimentation, is accompanied by a distinct knowledge that we've all been brainwashed (ironically, the LSD was part of the brainwashing that sort of backfired). The song is about being in the underworld and grasping at something or someone to save you from it. It's about being perpetually full of angst. It's about being Cain. I think it describes a Cluster B culture. Given that it's about the underworld, it's not surprising that their other most famous song is based on Alice in Wonderland.
So I can't wait to hear what virtual you are about to say about Robert Crumb, the Man Who Drew My Doom.

Carl jung in its self just from one video is another course in itself and on the big 5 personality that too is another course that also stands alone and is best left to grit and elbow grease
I bet none of his students at the time would have guessed they were in the presence of one who would one day take the entire world by storm. Life is crazy.
The funniest thing to me about watching this today is the segment where he talks about “What we should do” as I am in phase transition right now lol I moved to Guatemala after I completed my degree program in Regenerative Organic Agriculture & briefly did some volunteer work in one region, but the guy was a drunk & kept trying to get more money from me as I’m a disabled vet on a decent pension. So now I moved to another city, I’m working on my Spanish 3 days a week with a tutor, got a gym membership & gradually meeting people...but what should I do?
I think the priority should be the language development so I can communicate with new people down here, then I can look at communicating ideas for business or volunteer ventures. I’ve decided that loose plans are good as I’ve found truth over the course of my life in the saying that “the best laid plans go to waste”
