I love Ted Lasso. I’m sad it ended. And I think they did an amazing job with the complete story arc. I think I’ll be rewatching it over and over. I don’t say that about very many shows.
4:55 will never not break me. The fact that Jamie winces right before Roy hugs him, preparing to be hit, only the finally let go and melt. Heartbreaking
For me, it's the more subtle moments that made this show absolute brilliance... For example - the Uncle Roy moments with Phoebe... so many to discuss, but her importance to him was made blatantly obvious when he was mouthing the words to "Let It Go" while Rebecca sang, because of course Uncle would have watched that film repeatedly with Phoebe. Missing - Rebecca and Nora together.
4:57 The acting in this scene was perfect. Seeing Jaime tense up right before the hug. As someone with an abusive father, I know that feeling all too well.
roy giving jamie that hug was not only a boss move but what real men do when they see someone suffering. brilliant show and cast! if you haven't seen this show do yourself a favor and watch it and don't be surprised if you finish it and feel a little healed from this thing we call, "life."
This should have included the team fixing Sam's restaurant after it was vandalised. Notably the friendship that grew between Sam and Jamie having hated each other in the beginning.
this is the best tv show i have ever seen .. the warmth and comfort the characters give me is unmatchable .. i love you for making this...and thank you from the bottom of my heart
You should watch The Nanny and Scrubs. Bill Lawrence got started writing for The Nanny. He brought a lot of that heart to his own shows like Scrubs. It also has great humor but then smacks you with the feels.
Rejoice even more because unlike so many things that impact our lives it will remain here and you can revisit this warm wonderful place whenever you need it
Finishing Nate's line: Fathers are the training wheels we will miss, don't matter if we didn't need'em nor want'em, they'll take Us to a place of calm, and knowing they are a memory, will forever be sad.
@@RobertJW I always laugh at that part of the scene!!! It really does play an important part in the scene overall, as well. It shows that everyone is on Jamie's side and will protect him. It sets up the Roy moment beautifully. Powerful viewing.
There's no way they can make more versions of this show. A series this good only comes along once or twice in a lifetime. Let these amazing memories stay with us forever. To everyone that worked on this masterpiece of a series, well done.
My wife and I had this conversation. We both agreed that this is the greatest show we have ever watched and we know there will never be a greater show. Sure, there will be other shows that are beyond amazing, but Ted Lasso was extremely special. It was absolutely perfect in every way. As much as I wanted more, I am glad it ended after the right amount of time. Too many shows take a good thing and stretch it too far. We are going to give this a couple of years then rewatch again. For now we just want to enjoy the memories of watching.
@@Majerly_Annoyed This show was so good because they had a plan for 3 seasons and despite an offer for loads of money from Apple, they stuck to their guns, made their story and got out
Just finished binging this on Apple, about 3 weeks ago. Hands down one of the best series to come out of TV Land in a long time (besides Peaky Blinders, of course). Absolutely AWESOME Casting, writing, character development, etc. - every little idiosyncrasy in the characters, the Pub crew, the Murdoch-esque Ex., and Ted and Coach…just excellent. Witty AF, Fantastic Acting, just thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. 100% on my score card.
Love you Brother, teaching is the hardest job. I listen to 5-6 year olds read for 2 hours a week. It’s the most precious privilege, rewarding and frustrating, funny and occasionally heartbreaking but so worthwhile. The gift of reading is priceless and the heartwarming show of niceness in Ted Lasso proves the principle Helping others heals you.
Really good Teachers are like Really good Nurses - it’s not just a job - it’s a vocation / calling. I spent a lot of time in my kid’s elementary schools, on Parent Council and volunteering, and on their H.S. PC. In elementary I spent a lot of time working with their teachers and resource teachers, because they both had learning differences. I know, first hand, that a great teacher can literally turn a kid’s life around and set them on the path for success. Bless you - for doing one of the hardest jobs out there. 10 weeks til Summer Break 👍😄🙋🏻♀️
I'm saving this. I want to watch it every once in a while, just to be reminded that I want to be a better person. Ted Lasso is incredible and I want it to change my life to better. Fucking emotional shite.
The scene where Jamie's father was berating him after the game. Jamie is sitting on the massage table like a tiny child. So powerful. The rage i felt towards that man is a true sign he is an excellent actor.
I love how she doesn't physically back away when Ted stands up and comes around the desk. A. She is a strong woman and can literally take it. B. She isn't a bit afraid he will hit her because she knows he wouldn't be violent. Can you imagine the scene with a Ruppert? There would be fear of physical harm.
I just finished watching this amazing show! BELIEVE! (7/AUG/2023) - Gota thank TH-cam for showing me the Rebecca calling out hairy ROY to her office for not doing the PressConference! Then I had to look up what the fuss was all about.. Thank you!
Please make way for season 5,6,7. I won't live long to enjoy something as cool as this snow. I got few years left. I'm glad that I got to watch a show like this.
Hannah W is, and I cannot stress this enough, A GREAT ACTRESS... She can sing like an angel, she's emotionally available in so many subtle ways; there's layers to her game, she's putting on a CLINIC playing the 'straight man' in this show. I can't imagine she's never done Titania, but if a new movie iteration of Midsummer Night's Dream comes out, she's gotta be #1 on the call sheet!
I like every storyline except for the, ironically, Ted's marriage crisis story. Michelle is not a nice person in the least and all the good people around Ted won't beat some sense into him like real friends should.
i have to be honest i never like how easily rebecca got off in season 1 for what she did. I understand she was sad and angry, but what she did was not just cruel it´s downright psychotic and evil messing with an unquestionably nice person like ted on a very malicious way. A lot of lives depend on a professional club. Staff and other workers, the players who dedicate their lives and body to the sport, the fans who often even when poor support the clubs with everything they got and the way she basically caused the relegation is completely inexusable, since many people suffer great consequences when an institution like that gets relegated and waving it away with, "well she got divorced and was sad, watcha gonna do" felt to me very unsatisfying. There should have been some kind of consequences for her actions other than her saying sorry
There are a significant number of parallels between the Scrubs and Ted Lasso universes: 1) a leading male character who is emotionally open and confident, is initially underestimated, has a close male friend, and whose relationship drives positive change in those around him (JD/Ted); 2) Father issues (JD/Cox/Ted/Nate/Jamie) that drive negative character issues and/or self-doubt; 3) Young men seeking mentors (JD/Nate/Jamie); 4) Antagonists who are eventually shown to be in difficult situations and allowed to grow and be redeemed (Cox/Kelso/Rebecca/Nate); 4) Use of the phrase “and there it is” to emphasize a significant issue; 5) Wizard of Oz theme (Scrubs episode 100/Ted Lasso final episode, but really the entire three seasons).
I don't like it when writers make young children act like mini adults. She has all the wisdom and insight and vocabulary of a 40-year-old. Make kids realistic kids. She's what, six? Make her act like she's six.
Me snd my wife came into this series late I have seen lots of feeds on my my phone about the series,, I can honestly say this one of the best things I have watched in my 57 years of being on this planet ( roy Kent fuck you) ha ha
Higgins' toast is one of my favorite moments of the entire series.
Thinking that’s the “family” the psychic told Rebecca she’d have….
His role is so underrated.
He has such a character arch because he’s the worm that enables Rupert, and in the end he’s a Diamond dog father figure. It’s so lovely.
Higgins not only knowing which players came to dinner but also where in the world they're from, such a wonderful thing. What a great dude.
To the family we are born with, and the family we make along the way. That is the Ted Lasso shirt I want.
Such a cool moment.
One of the best moments in the entire series.
It kills me every time. The way Jamie eventually hangs on to Roy as if his life depended on it, and then lets the tears flow.
Everytime. 😢
Every time. If I need to produce tears on the fly I just need to think of this scene

It was Jamie making the choice of what kind of man he wanted to be.
Any scene with Roy and Phoebe got me. This show was like a hot chocolate at the end of the day
For real. Love their relationship
"Can I be the dragon this time! you better have fixed the wand." said like an uncle whos wrapped around his niece's finger
This should have included the team fixing Sam's restaurant after it was vandalised. Notably the friendship that grew between Sam and Jamie having hated each other in the beginning.
The show we all didn’t know we needed. Phenomenally talented cast. Can just feel the emotions as the viewer.

Dani Rojas needing to be guided to the funeral like someone's grandfather kills me 😂
The Roy and Jamie hug always makes me cry.
I love that they do not shy away from any subject and will run head first at the problem.

Fathers are the training wheels we will miss, don't matter if we didn't need'em nor want'em, they'll take Us to a place of calm, and knowing they are a memory, will forever be sad.
Thank you.
Is it the actual line he was gonna say?
Bill Lawrence is a master of blending comedy and feels into a single show. This show is just another example
the scene with jamie in the locker room makes me cry everytime, even when i saw just a clip of it...
Just such a raw moment a lot of ppl can relate to in someway, very powerful
I always appreciate Coach Beard in that moment taking a small measure of revenge. “Watch the door… Oops.”

If the wee lass that plays Phoebe doesn't go on to have a stellar acting career there's something wrong with the world.
