@@Arbee1000 I have! I personally don’t like it for concealer under my eyes, it’s just ok small for my liking so I use the foundation brush for that too. But it is nice for spot concealing or blending out eye primer! I also used it with a cream highlighter and that was nice too

I like the small size for my undereyes and the shape of the bristles and the angle is just perfect for that area. It isn't incredibly soft but it's certainly not uncomfortable on the skin and the results are so perfect! Definitely recommend!

Make up does make me feel prettier. For me, it’s the ritual that gets me ready to have a good day of teaching no matter what comes at me. My parents had to be to work really early when I was a kid. So I got dropped off at my grandparents house for a couple hours every day before school. They were Italian immigrants and had very rigorous roles and routines in their relationship. My grandfather slept in while my grandmother met me at the door and immediately brought me back to her bathroom to get ready with her. She told me old stories from Italy, the boat ride and what it was like to immigrate to New Orleans in the 1920s. The whole time she was doing her make up and letting me sneak little bits of lip gloss and ”rouge”. Getting up early and singing my favorite songs while putting on my make up is my self-care time. I probably often put on too much make up! That’s just because I absolutely adore the process❤
Lupus is an autoimmune disease. Unfortunately my mother had and she had both types. Lupus can turn into Vasculitis and that is beyond horrible and those two are what took her away to early from me and my girls. Selena had a kidney transplant from her best friend. Lupus is super hard on the body. If you know anyone with Rheumatoid Arthritis it is along the same lines.
@@nicoleN1993 she will have great days and really horrible days. There were days my moms skin hurt so bad it hurt to touch her. She never complains always let my girls hug her no matter what. It makes me sad at how hard it is to get diagnosed with it. What really makes me mad is it skips a generation (from all the studies I’ve done) and it missed me and now my daughter has RA. Makes a parent feel absolutely horrible. I wish I could take away anyone’s pain that has Lupus. Be a supporter but don’t crowd your friend. It’s the best you can do.
I have RA and can confirm its horrible. Edit: Rheumatoid arthritis has robbed me of having a normal life and I was diagnosed 10 yrs ago at 40, but it’s completely heartbreaking to know a young adult or child have it 😞💔
I'm not a medical person but my mom has RA and Biological treatments, such as adalimumab, etanercept and infliximab have really changed her life and taken her into remission. We are in the UK and I'm not sure how easy it is to get these treatments elsewhere but worth looking into for anyone suffering ❤️

Thank you for normalizing existing without needing makeup to feel pretty. You posted an Instagram story or TH-cam short a while back about being confident in your skin without makeup and it has really helped me feel more confident without it. 😊
Fyi- Studies show that you need 1/4 teaspoon of sunscreen (for your face alone) to achieve the SPF stated on the bottle. So you definitely need to be using more! It's helpful to literally use a 1/4 teaspoon to see just how much that is! And don't forget your neck AND chest AND arms AND hands!

Hey Jessi you mentioned that it drives you crazy not being able to get to the product at the bottom of the containers, if you were to lift and take off the sifters then you can get to the rest of the product. You would be amazed at how much product we waste or don't get our monies worth out of the product cause we don't think alot of the times to take it off including myself but I will take the time and effort with products that I love so I get as much as I can out of it. I've learned a lot by watching TH-camrs project pan videos it's interesting sometimes to see the progress and how long it took them to finish the product, or they would switch them out and keep them in rotation throughout the year, and product empties. I love Selena Gomez she is such a sweetheart I'm glad you picked her as a person to try her techniques, you looked beautiful Jess and loving that the eyeshadow palette was affordable it made it even better 😀
i have the RB foundation and concealer and while i would rebuy the concealer, i wouldn't rebuy the foundation! i found it to be oily and the shade 190N is still too light for me and a bit yellow, but i loved the coverage. not too little, not too much, which is perfect for me. however, the concealer is the best one i've used. i have oily skin and this concealer LASTS and doesn't make me look cakey. i bought a few shades darker (210N) and it's a true match to my skin. also, the brush you're using to apply the concealer is her blush brush!

I love all of your videos, but todays was extra special. I am 45 and have gone through many phases of make up and my opinion on how much/often I need to wear it. I have decided that make up isn’t really about my looks at all. It is for me. It enjoy trying new items and creating looks. Selina mentioned it being art, and that was a true statement for me. Now I still only do safe, neutral looks, I simply enjoy doing it. My exception in blush. I love blush! I love collecting it. I love trying it. I have struggled with depression extensively the past few years. I was convinced last fall that my only option was suicide. With help from my husband and friends I feel safer, but still struggle. In this time I have discovered make up videos and lifestyle vlogs, primarily yours, and it has been so uplifting for me. You and others have inspired me to do what makes me feel better about myself and to find cheerfulness in simple things like a new pink blush, admiring the coffee mugs we have acquired, and making Office references. I also want to say that you have a lovely family. Even when you don’t show them, which I respect, it is joyful to see you enjoying this stage of life. I have 2 teenage sons. I am loving the teenage years, but long for those baby years again. Thank you for the happiness that you have brought to me and so many others!

I have big blue eyes, so every makeup artist always wants to "play them up" & every single time they finish my eye makeup they all take a step back with the "huh" head tilt. I can't explain it, no one I've known or met (makeup artist wise) has been able to explain it, it just looks bad. I'm a strictly top eyeliner & upper lash mascara girl. It's so much more flattering on me personally. Honestly, it's one of the reasons I started watching Jess because she tries makeup products in the way I actually wear them.

Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream is one of my holy grail moisturisers, even though it's a bit pricey. I haven't tried anything from Rare Beauty yet, but there's a few things on my wishlist, and I think the blotting kit is a pretty cool idea, especially because it's refillable so you only need to buy the compact once and just replace the paper or the powder as needed.
encourage is my favourite shade but from the original ones she launched grace was my shade i prefer their matte formula so if she every released a matte joy i think i would like it better than the current joy shade

You have to shake the rare beauty foundation before use. Maybe that's why you didn't like it. And the brush you used wasn't the one she used.

That’s so strange because I LOVE my rare beauty brushes. I’m not sure if I have the one you said was scratchy though but I love the foundation brush, the concealer brush and the big powder brush

I haven't tried anything from Rare Beauty yet, but there's a few things on my wishlist, and I think the blotting kit is a pretty cool idea, especially because it's refillable so you only need to buy the compact once and just replace the paper or the powder as needed.
