I heard that this doesn't work on mac, you have to get mac specific version of this. Also heard that WD drives have higher failure rate than segate now.
I am not sure about all of that and if they have change specifications on the product over the last 2 years. I have purchase this exact same drive 2 years ago and it works fine on my mack and with no failure. So I am not sure if anything has changed since then. But I purchased this one as an additional one for back up.
