Today we talk about how the ace family allegedly sent a cease and desist to the TH-camr SL04n for his past videos on the Ace Family. We also say what we know regarding the Ace Family's festival dubbed the Ace Fest.

They’re scared because they know Sloan is a reliable source who is referenced by other creators here on TH-cam because he’s just that reliable with information. Even when he’s made mistakes he’s owned up to it and corrected himself usually without deleting the evidence that he made a mistake. Sloan deserves better than what the ace family is doing to him.
He shouldn't have deleted the videos. There was nothing that they could have done to him legally. He backed up his claims with all information available with FOIA.
I can't wait to watch them prove everyone right when it fails.

I can’t believe people actually bought tickets. I feel sorry for the parents who don’t know any better and just think they’re taking their kids for a fun time. This is going to definitely blow up in the ace family’s face. Also silencing creators is so scummy. It’s free speech backed up with a scam history and facts.
I understand a little bit about the parent but if they’re blindly spending that kind of money on some people/thing that they know nothing about and haven’t taken the time to look into it… I mean… come on.

Nobody deserves to be scammed but I seriously have to question the judgment of someone willing to spend $300-$500 on pop-up carnival tickets. Especially when you could go to the carnival next door, that’s on the same lot for only $15. Shit, you could just about go to Disneyland for those prices

Well, they MIGHT still be able to profit, because they're CLEARLY profiting off of ticket sales and not having to pay for anything else, because they're just using the soul fest's festival vendors, food, events, staff, space, carnival rides, etc.
If they try to sue Sloan for ticket sales dropping, Sloan just needs to show that THEY had already posted and stated that tickets SOLD OUT. Videos were made and posted AFTER they said tickets were sold out, so there's no way they could win that lawsuit.

The ace family is notorious for not understanding how things work and that people can call them out. I also feel bad for the festival they’re mooching off of. I wonder if they even know that this is the Ace Families plan.

what he should do is put the videos' back up get a lawyer and let them take him to court. a lot of people forget that the burden of prove is on the person making the claim he has ton of proof he wasn't the only one they put the sold out post that cost there ticket sales. I under stand money cost alot in handling cases but that's the slapp laws are for. as for the ace family they have alot of good ideas just the way they handle it is so dumb that they turn in into a scam to cover his mouth. not knowing hey the big shots your trying to be hire people to do that then they mouth off of the success. sadly the ace family never took real business class 101. this is just my thoughts

I've seen Sloan say some things that could have brought him a defamation lawsuit. But I have seen him on the same story, admit that he was wrong. So the fact that he won't make a retraction just gives credibility to whatever he said. I wish I could have seen his videos before they were removed. Just curious about what got the Ace Family's panties in a twist.
if it's the videos I think it is, he was basically just going ove there facts that MadCatster (sorry if I spelled his named wrong) had pulled to light and speculated on if the Ace family was essentially piggybacking off of the other event in the same lot. he was also thinking about buying tickets to the other event (don't blame him, it looked like a blast) and checking out the whole scene for himself
Sloan is watered down compared to many other videos and is probably the nicest to them. Illuminaughtii has an insane video about these clowns.
I feel so bad for their kids man, when they get older such as middle school, high school age kids will be on TH-cam or whatever else and recognize them, see all these scandals that their parents have done and even then they could still be doing scandals and scamming people

I’ll let you in on a little secret
I’m an attorney (that’s not the secret), but if the Ace Family were to sue Sloan or anyone else, they would have to disclose in discovery _all_ the details of the festival - how many tickets were available, etc. Truth is the only defense in a defamation claim (with some exceptions, well not really exceptions, more like requirements. For example, it’s legally more difficult to defame a “public” (famous) person, but that’s a discussion for another day).
Also, they would have to prove a direct correlation between Sloan’s video and the decrease in sales in order to be successful in any kind of suit against him.
I think Sloan probably made the best decision for himself. It’s VERY expensive to litigate.
And I wouldn’t even trust the Ace Family to turn over all the information they would legally be required to during discovery.
I’m fairly certain some of the information about the festival could be obtained by deposing 3rd parties - the company who is actually producing the festival for example.
And that way you could figure out how many people the festival site could handle, etc.
And from that information you could determine the truth.
I don’t know much about this family, but from what I have seen is they seem, er, not exactly above board when it comes to the truth.

I think Sloan is the only person they have gone after.. if you think about these big TH-camrs they have some good lawyers (H3)… and I personally think that the ace family thinks Sloan can afford a good one. I haven’t seen an update for a bit when it comes to MadCatster so I’m not sure if he got a C&D letter.. but because of his background I wouldn’t be surprised if the ace family didn’t file one. It’s just interesting as to why they sent Sloan the letter… slowed down ticket sales to a sold out event… what!!

My programming skills are a bit rudimentary, but that doesn’t sound like a glitch nor an exploit. It sounds like Shopify or whatever purposefully programmed in an autocorrection to purchase the max amount available an item. Again, my programming skills are rudimentary, but I think you would have to specifically write that function into the code otherwise it would let you buy a ridiculous number and then return an error. But again, my coding experience is limited.
Yeah. Kinda like someone saying, "we don't have that many tickets for sale, but heres the amount of tickets we do have so you can buy those." Yeah that's not a glitch. It's not against the law to know how many tickets are still available at an event.

I feel like the 'sold out' ticket thing is just a scam to them post them somewhere else for more as 'scalpers'. Imagine being someone thinking this even might actually be worth it since the tickets are sold out, so they go to another website to get them and instead of 599 they spend upwards of 1k. Some mom desperately trying to get tickets for her spoiled little kid who wants to bad to go spends more money on the 'scalper' tickets, which is just Ace Family in discuise getting double the money for an even that is doomed.

It's so funny to think that they could just...stop doing what they're doing at any time, but they keep pushing forward, even when the curtain has been pulled back and the grift revealed.
If the other event is $15 on the same lot how are they going to tell who paid for their even versus the other. If they are giving special wearable passes, then people should go to the other see if they can get to the rides at Ace Fest, and if they are turned around… just go to the other event so that any footage pales in comparison. Or just support the other event and they get in trouble for trying to use footage for the other event to look like all those people are are theirs.
I'm surprised any creator follows these idiotic cease and desist letters. They're just a warning to stop ILLEGAL activity before legal action is taken. If the creator is not doing anything illegal, there's no activity to stop and a judge will probably just laugh in the issuing party's face. To everyone out there, cease and desist letters can be issued by any attorney for any little thing. That doesn't mean they have to be followed. Especially if you haven't done anything illegal (making a youtube video isn't illegal)
