- Today we're looking at a German WWII M1940 combat helmet that was used by the Allgemeine SS. This helmet is in the characteristic black paint scheme of the Allgemeine SS, and is a bringback from a US soldier, staying in his possession for nearly 70 years. The helmet was made by Quist, and is marked Q64 under the left skirt (64 is the size, 64cm = medium.) The German soldier who wore the helmet also marked his name under the rear skirt. This helmet still retains both its original decals, as well as its original liner and chinstrap.

Just to let you know, Rottf. is not his name, It stands for Rottenführer (a rank in the SA and SS) Translated in English: Section leader. Nice original helmet btw.
That is a tremendous find! I have an SS M35, an M40, and an M42, but only the M35 is a double decal.
I've got a M35 relic shell, single decal Wehrmacht, not the best condition but it's authentic and real. THAT one is high dollar for sure bro
You probably already know by now but m35 is always double decal
A very nice piece of history thanks for sharing.$$$
