    In my experience, there is always the possibility of more labs and scans, and there comes a point where even that needs to come to a stop.

    • @cfsrecovery
      @cfsrecovery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes exactly. It gets to a point where you just have to believe the tests and scans, as well as the doctors when they say that nothing is physically wrong in your body. If only the doctors would tell you that it's just the nervous system, I'm sure people would feel so much better. But the problem is doctors just tell your normal and then send you home, so then you're even more anxious and lose trust in the entire medical system

    Just came upon this video and it's like a message from the universe right now.I have come to a really challenging stage in my recovery where many negative past experiences and fears for the future have joined forces to stir up more symptoms and anxiety.I have really taken on the 3 foot analogy as it reasonated with me immediately.My sincere thanks to you for all you do to help other people in their own recovery.

    Thank you for this! I came over here from your first vid! I’m definitely a thinking machine and always looking forward for some sort of “ideal” state where I’m finally 100 percent but you’re right, I need to be appreciate life now and be happy with myself in this moment. Today I umpire baseball games all day (my side gig, I’m pretty functional but just with a lot of symptoms) and I will work on staying in my three foot world. Thank you for everything you do this is awesome!

      Thank you for your support! Yup it all starts with your mind, as Dr. John Demartini said:
      Beliefs become thoughts
      Thoughts become words
      Words become actions
      Actions become habits
      Habits become values
      Values become your destiny
      So you have to get to the bottom of why you're thinking machine, what are you constantly thinking about and why do you feel the need to think about those things. Once you solve things out those deeper levels everything else seems to fall into place

      DWM which brain retraining program are you doing? Is it from a book or online? How long did it take you to get to where you are now from where you started implementing the changes.

    Hi Miguel, in the last week I watched most of your videos and I really want to thank you. Even though I already read and learned a lot about CFS and healing you still provided me with a lot of new helpful insights. I'm on my way to recovery, it's just a matter of time now. I wish you all the best with this channel (it's really growing fast for a CFS channel) and your video business. Cheers from Belgium

    Hi i saw your story on Raelans channel and I'm enjoying your content. Do you have a special brain retraining for the depression, anxiety and frustration that comes with these conditions? Thanks. I've started your brain retraining for pain reduction.

    • @cfsrecovery
      @cfsrecovery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi LM1, great question. I've answered this a few times in our Facebook Group - Community of Thrivers. I'd suggest joining that if you haven't already.
      To answer your question here:
      I haven't come across a brain retraining exercise that solves all those things you listed immediately. Those symptoms/issues go away once the pain is solved because pain is something that is constantly taking energy away from you and constantly putting stress on the nervous system.
      In addition to getting rid of the pain, it takes a mindset shift to get rid of the anxiety which can be even more detrimental than the pain. I touch on this a little bit in some videos but I'll release a video very soon about this topic
      When I was getting better, I looked at fatigue and other strange symptoms as secondary issues. When we’re constantly in pain our bodies are stressed and that stress never really goes away. Once we start lowering that pain, overall stress is reduced in our bodies, so other symptoms and fatigue start to dissolve.
      I really just focused on dealing with the pain at first (because mine was so bad even though I physically wasn’t doing anything). Once I got the pain under control then I felt my energy start to come back.
      Some things I did that helped with everything else
      -cool shower every night before bed helped relax my body so I could have a great sleep
      -sleeping with an eye mask so I could stay asleep (this made a huge difference)
      -NOT overreacting to symptoms and adjustment periods, but seeing them as necessary on the road to recovery.

    I’m sure this comment will prove I’m overthinking, but since I started recovering I’m having some original symptoms come back including depression and some fears of things that aren’t truly scary. I also find myself avoiding be home and wanting to be on the go. Is this common?
