Lumas don't have to show up in the overworld. It's possible for a luma to appear as the second temtem in an encounter if you run into a non-luma radar temtem! You can learn more about radars in this new guide I just posted :) th-cam.com/video/7aejdYePQ5I/w-d-xo.html
If it's the first temtem in the encounter and not the second one next to it, yes it will show up as luma in the overworld. You might still get a luma from a non-luma encounter if the temtem next to it is luma though

not always, they can roll as lumas even if its default in the overwold, like i got mine

Were you able to evolve this to vulcrane? On the wiki it says you need like 28 lvls after vulor.
