Jenny - this is beautiful. But someone should say thank you. Missouri Star has brought so many generations to sewing through your tutorials. Without sewing being taught at school and with so many moms working crazy hours, no one has time to show their kids how to sew anymore. With your beautiful quilts and easy teaching manner you have drawn so many into sewing. You have also combined the tool that draws teens and young adults (social media) with a very traditional past time and preserved tradition that could have easily been lost. Thank you - thank you - thank you. Your tutorials are very easy to follow.
PA Bennett Thank you so much for your comment! I love being able to teach something that is so dear to my heart and it's so nice to hear that a love for quilting and sewing is spreading!! :)
I'm making this quilt today. Thank you Jenny!!! I have learned so much from you over the years. Your the reason I quilt today. So, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
I've been working on my blocks off and on for last few days. I cut my strips from various shades of green prints, used white floral tiny blocks for stair-steps, and I am pleased so far. Her instructions are so easy to follow.
I just finished this quilt for my 10 year old niece for Christmas and I know she is going to love it. I this was my first attempt at a quilt that was not patchwork and I am very proud of myself. My husband is now asking when I am making one for him. Thank you so much for your tutorials you make it so easy for a beginner like me to understand and complete a project without much hassle.
Megan Goodson How awesome that you have found a new hobby! She is going to love her new quilt! I'm so glad you enjoy the tutorials and had a great time making your first quilt! :)
I just love the way you guys explain or how Jenny explains and all of you show how to make these quilts they look easy and I hope very much that I can do them I'm a beginner quilter I've only been closing for maybe 6 months and boy have I ran into some messes I have ripped stitched it's ripped done it all but I'm not going to get aggravated I'm going to keep on going I will eventually be good at it trying to do some quilts for my grandkids for Christmas having a hard time but I will get them done thank you so much for your tutorials and showing tricks and tips I appreciate you so much have a great day
Hi Jenny! Thank you for this fun tutorial of the "Sticks and Stones" quilt pattern. I find the way you explain how to cut the squares and sew up the block components to make perfect sense. I got a little rush of happiness to see how easy it was to complete the stair step portion of the block. This quilt is so pretty. It does remind me of blue skies on a sunny day, swimming fun with family at a lake or reading a book while lounging under a big umbrella. The fresh greens in this set of fabrics reminds me of the joy I always feel when the new green of Spring is bursting forth on branch buds and blades of grass. I have not yet actually sewn one quilt, but I have loved a lot of quilts made and gifted by my grandma, mother, and aunts who are no longer with us. I love watching you and your daughters demonstrate how doable even the most complex quilts are...even for a beginner like me: so, in my head, I almost feel like an expert . I am positive that during the Spring/Summer season I will actually have completed, at least, a few quilts. This beautiful, "Sticks and Stones," quilt is so lovely. One of my oldest and dearest friends has let me know that she feels the patchwork quilts look too busy to her. But, I think this "Sticks and Stones" quilt will win her over to the bright side of quilting. This quilt is perfectly balanced with beautiful blocks that come in a beautiful array of well coordinated colors; with the blues appearing cheerfully predominant. Blue is my friends favorite color! The white back ground is refreshing and gives our eyes time to rest as we study this beautiful piece of artwork that could most definitely look gorgeous as a wall hanging. And, lastly, I just wanted to mention how much I like your attitude that allows for quick fixes; such as, just quickly snipping the puckering material nearest the seam intersection. In this way, no unpicking was necessary and the block looked great! I am sure my friend will love this quilt too! Thank you again Jenny 💖💖💖
Jenny, my day is not complete if I don't hear one of your tutorials. I have made dancing diamonds for granddaughter who is college student. She loves it. Used pieces for my stash but the stash isn't any smaller.. Love YOU Karen Knisel
I don't know how you keep coming up with these great ideas!!! It's a beautiful quilt and now I know what I am going to do with one of those jelly rolls I just had to have and didn't know what to do with. I can't tell you how much I admire you.
Michelle Calandra I have a pretty great design team working behind the scenes with me! :) Thank you so much for watching this tutorial! You are so sweet! :) Happy quilting!
I love how this quilt looks very different depending on what fabric you choose. It is easy to make and stitches up quickly. (love that about Jenny's tutes!)
This quilt is what inspired me to learn how to quilt. Your tutorials have opened a world of ideas, and confidence that I can make something beautiful. Thank you!
we used to call this quilt mock log cabin and put it into sunshine and shadows settings I love this quilt. I was looking at my pattern last week it's such a fun quilt to make
Dear Jenny, am from Malaysia and ever since i scout for how to do quilt from your site,i have falling in love with it even am just a green bee quilter..lol.Anyway thank you so much for the lesson.Unfortunately i can't afford to buy precut fabric and some of the tools that i need to used for quilting ,from Missouri Star like the extra long ruler and especially the cuting mat you used, how i wish they have it here in my country. cos it is very expensive to buy online due to the exchanging rate of my country.Your lesson, encouragement and smile really make my day shine more Jenny, thank you very much and GOD BLESS you and your family .
I have been in a funk and this quilt has inspired me to make a quilt again. I have been watching several of these tutorials and they are so inspiring with lots of great tips and short cuts. I can't wait to get started. I ordered the blue jeans strip set to make this for my spare twin bed. Thank you so much for all the great tutorials.
Oh thanks Jenny. I told my granddaughters I would make them a quilt for Christmas and wanted to know at least 3 of their favorite colors because I was planning to do one in the amazing jelly roll quilt pattern by 3 Dudes that you did back in Aug. 25, 2011. But when I found out that the youngest wanted hers in her school colors which are only Kelly Green and White I thought that will just not look as cool. THIS on the other hand is perfect. It already has the white and I can vary the greens and it will look fabulous. So glad I subscribe to your channel so that I get these great ideas. You are my number one quilter.
Oh it's beautiful Jenny! The border is fabulous! And another easy one to make...2, 4, 6, 8....takes me back to my cheerleader days. I can do this! Thanks Jenny!
Thanks, Jenny for your tutorials. Your tips and techniques have helped my quilting immensely and it's nice to not have to lug a sewing machine and supplies to a class to figure out how to do a particular pattern. Your steps are clear to follow and it beats looking at a sheet of instructions and trying to figure out what it is trying to say. Your are more fun to watch too. Thanks!
Just beautiful Jenny! I absolutely love the way you cut your fabric and sew it all together so quickly. I'm still new to quilting and am so afraid to mess up I continue to shy away. I have completed a few using stitch in the ditch and have 2 Quilt tops that took me forever. Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy watching you work! Thank you
NOW, I am SURE that I died and went to Quilt heaven! LOVE this Quilt!! I have one single baby coming (I'm the GREAT Grandma!!,) and triplets, 1 day apart in December. This would make a perfect quilt for ONE of those 4 babies! In different colors, I may just make 3 for the triplets & a very different one for the single baby, such as Nine Patch + Rail fence. Bless you Jenny for all of your bouncy ideas & the CHARM of your teaching!! I do LOVE you from Idaho! AND, because of you the VERY FIRST thing I do after brewing coffee is to open computer & find your lesson!
Oh my! What a blessing to have so many sweet babies on the way! :) We hope to see pictures of the quilts you decide to make! Thank you for your nice comment! Happy Quilting!
I love this pattern. I just love the quilt border. I often don't have enough left to do a complete border so thank you for the great idea of splitting it up. Great video!

I saw this awhile ago and wanted to make it. Now the Juicy Jewels are not available, WHaaaa!! I have a very artistic family and all 12 of my brothers and sisters (yes from same mom and dad) have sewing talent up the yingyang!! For about a year and half I have put together about 12 quilts all from these tutorials and have received a lot of ooo's and aaa's. Guess I'll use Vincent Vangoh roll up or Jinney Beyer's Galaxy roll up? I'm lovin' this quilting stuff. I am the one that got my dad's singing and played in a band for years..... At 57 I finally found something I can do for therapy from my Severe anxiety!! Thank-You so much Doan family and Mom, Jenny........
My daughter gave me a jelly roll for Christmas and I've been looking for just the right pattern to make with it and this is it! Thank you so much for the video, now I can't wait to get started on it.
Well, you have spoiled me. I went into my pattern file and looked for the next project, In the last 3 months, since I found you on You Tube, I have made 4 of your tutorials.
