No. Like in the video, if you do, it'll fade and the color won't be vivid and bright; it'll look bad over time. You need to use regular printer ink with the 3g paper.
I bought my paper on ebay about two years ago. The seller I bought it from goes by "MI Source," and their user name is "myshoehabit." You can find them with this address: ebay.com/str/misource And thank you. :D
I have a S&S account the shirt you mentioned that feels just like cotton that is 100% poly hat brand is that bc the ones I previously had were thin feeling you could almost see through the shirt
Great video ! May I ask what sublimation transfer paper your using and what ink ? I'm looking to start a t-shirt business and want to make sure I have good quality. There's cheap and then there's expensive...not sure if they'll all just work the same or not and which direction to go overall .
@@Alexjussme Thank you for your feedback ! I did previously invest in a cricut explore 2 and easy press as I feel those are good beginner machines and I'm definitely gonna take advantage of them. I'll look into that brand of transfer paper too !
I don't remember if the paper had a specific brand name. It was more like one of those brands that didn't have a name, if that makes sense. The Ebay listing said this: "A4 Dye Sublimation Heat Transfer Paper for Polyester Cotton T- Shirt." I hope that helps!
Sorry for the late reply! The 100% polyester shirt used in this video is a type of polyester shirt that is made to feel like cotton, so yes, it feels like cotton, but it is even softer! In my opinion, it's better than a regular cotton t-shirt.
It's 100% polyester. It's okay to use 60/40, but keep in mind that the colors are going to look a little dull and are not going to be as vibrant. It also depends on the color of the shirt as well. I used 60/40 on a white shirt, and my blue colors turned out more of an indigo/violet.
Of course! They're called "Dream" t-shirts by the brand Dyenomite. I purchased them on a wholesale t-shirt company called S&S Activewear. However, you need to own a business of some sort to sign up for the website to purchase apparel. I hope this helped. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. :)
A little trick that I learned when I was in college, if you put the copyright symbol next to your signature, you have put an implied copyright on your work. If someone tries to claim it or copy it, you have the right to sue, or demand royalties lol. Trying to copyright all of your work would get very expensive very quickly
Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I didn't know! To be honest, what Beauzetta Sperry said below, would be a good route to go. Most of the time I add the copyright symbol to claim it as mine, even though it's legally not documented. I can't speak for other artists, but I see a lot of people dish out art constantly, and I'm sure not every piece has a copyright unless they are a famous artist with tons of money. Hope this helps!
i have a sublimation ink in my printer, can i use a 3g jet opaque paper onto dark t-shirt printed on my shirt.what settings should i use to get high quality transfer.is it compulsory to use a masking paper for high quality transfers?
Yes, you can use 3g Jet Opaque paper. Always use high settings for the best results. I have an Epson printer and I use "Premium Matte Presentation" paper, and I always set the ink to high, not standard. It depends on how hot your heat press gets. I've watched videos where some people say the masking paper isn't necessary, while some say it is. I use it, and my shirts turn out fine, but it is up to you to experiment and see if it's right for you.
Thank you, you answered a few questions I had. Thank you for your work
Great video! U might have said this but can you use sublimation ink on the 3g paper?

you can get it on Amazon, or you can use ProWorld. I use both for my paper and other stuff

Eh, the poly brand that feels like cotton are a little thin. I still enjoy them but others may not.

Sorry, I replied back very late. It looks like your question was already answered, but feel free to ask me any more questions if needed. :)
you said you used normal printer..
Which printer did you use for 3g opaque, which gave dark and vibrant colours ??
I used an Epson printer. I believe it was the Epson 7620. 3g Opaque paper requires basic pigment ink (ink that comes with the printer).

why my sublimation ink to dark transfer 3g opaque paper fade after several times of washing the shirt?
Usually if it fades, it's because the temperature wasn't hot enough. Pressure may also have something to do with it.
@@ダチアヨ Usually it's 350°F for around 30 seconds.
@@ダチアヨ let me know how it turns out :)
