    • @alexsist5571
      @alexsist5571 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@L.Coxhead I would say have it clear in your mind how you're going to answer why you're going there and why you overstayed, be over-prepared so there's no question that'll catch you off-guard and no paperwork they'll want to see you don't have. I think if you're prepared for anything then there's less that can go wrong and you'll be more confident. bring any supportive documents such as proof of flight cancellation emails and ties to your home country, a main one's work so a signed letter from your workplace would be good (even though they didn't ask to see a single one of mine lol) I would give answers that are to the point so you don't waste their time but you don't want to be too brief, that's why it's good to know in your head what you're going to say. I went to the embassy in London and there were a lot of people waiting, maybe over a hundred, so I can imagine they don't want to hear your life story as they have a lot of people to get through, make sure you have a good reason for visiting the US, but don't make out that you love it so much you won't come back! Make sure you have enough finances and you can briefly explain that. Also be polite and be positive. Speak when you're spoken to, don't just start rambling when they don't ask you anything, imo they will likely approve your B1/B2 Visa as they didn't seem too interested in why I overstayed, they just wanted to know why I wanted to go there, the lady I spoke with was nice and asked me about my work situation and when I plan to go etc. I was pretty nervous and probably came across that way but luckily the interview only lasted about 2 and a half minutes. Hope that helps! And good luck! 🤞🏼

@@alexsist5571 I am in this exact same situation but believe I said I didn't overstay and now I'm worried that that will be viewed as dishonest. Covid complicated things for me too and yet I always applied for an extension and was always put on pending. I left the country before I even got my answer because I missed home and had a job I had to start right away. My interview is in 3 days and I am stressed. I hope it goes well. Well done on getting yours.

On 6th of Nov 2022, I was in US embassy for B1/B2 interview, I will share all details (remember it was in Kuwait)
    First window.........
Q1- Is it your first visa? A= No,
Q2- Are you ever reject for a visa? A= No,
Q-3 Is your visa is expired? A= Yes,
Q-4 Did ever visited US? A= Yes. (while replying to him he was making some entries in the system) Thanks and go to window X in my case it was 5. window 5 was for finger prints, (US was having my finger prints before but they scanned again) on window 5 he said to to window 6.
On window 6 I greeted the officer by saying (Goo Mornin Officer "remember I used goo morning not Good Morning to keep the accent" 😉) he smiled and replayed the same. immediately he started
Q-1 what is the purpose of your visit? A= I am going to attend a Fair,
Q-2 what is your job in the company? A= I am an "ABCD" ,
Q-3 what is your company name? A= "ABCD",
Q-4 what your company do exactly? A= we make "ABCD" and All type of "ABCD",
Q-5 For how long you are working in this company? A= 17 years,
Q-6 how long you are here in Kuwait? A= XYZ years. "the officer said, I am approving your visa, I will keep your passport and will be delivered through mail" Thanks officer I replayed. I took all required documents with me but, Nor he asked about any paper neither I gave him any. total 2 minutes.

She would ask them questions in a broken language and would not understand their response to her questions….. This is a matter that should be possible to be appealed!
How can she even get employed to work overseas at the us embassy when she doesn’t speak that specific country’s language? And why is not the us government make it a requirement for applicants to speak English if they don’t have employees that can speak that language???

i respect the consul but i know he didn't tell all the truth, of course if he tells the truth the american gov't may file a lawsuit against him, the thing is before your the interview in US embassy they already review your application and they already investigated you, it is not true that the consul didn't know about the applicant and only rely on the DS160 that the applicant sent to them, because if that is true then many unwanted visitors may come to US, so i believe that US embassy already investigated all the applicant before their date of interview in embassy, and i believe that the interview is only for the appearance of the applicant, i believe that the consul already knew if the applicant is passed or denied before interview, that's the reason why some of the applicant asks only one question by the consul and others has 3 to 4 questions, because the consul already knew who's passed and denied applicants, that's what i think

I am a dual citizen of the US and Italy. My girlfriend is Thai and when she had her B1/B2 interview the visa officer first asked how long we were together. When she answered "seven years", his follow up question was "why haven't you gotten married?"
I though this was an inappropriate question. It is a personal issue and has no bearing on whether she is a risk to try and migrate.
What justification does the visa officer have to ask this. Did he not cross the line here?

( except flight tickets) does that mean when the visa officer asks about who is gonna take care of the travel arrangements, is it fine to say I will pay for my flight tickets and the rest of the travel and stay will be taken care by my sponsor?? Or just say all travel arrangements will be taken care by my sponsor??

Is that ok since its' partly the same reason but not entirely the same? I assume it would be ok since this visa should cover both pruposes for travel.

Hi, my purpose of visiting the US is to see my boyfriend of 1.5 years, he already visited me twice here in the Philippines and he's coming back again on June this year. He wants me to visit him in the US next year to meet his parents who are lovely people, I met them thru video call. I'm working as the head secretary to the president of a company here in the Philippines for almost 12 years. I'm helping my father take care of my sick mother at home as I'm the only child, no sibling to assist them. I cannot be more honest and truthful enough about my reason to visit the US to see my BF and his family. Will I be approved for a visa in this case? Thank you for your insight. Is there any difference between B1/B2 and F1 approval success rate? I heard that in some cases getting F1 visa is way too easier than B1/B2. Another question is if you're currently not working is it enough reason reject your B1/B2 application? I'm a new graduate Bulgarian student and i'm gonna apply for the visa from Bulgaria (I also heard that there is more chance to get your visa if you apply from countries like Germany, Spain, Belgium…etc). We do not want to live in the U.S. We just want to visit my family, then back to Thailand. I will also be getting an Elite Visa in Thailand. Since this is a long-term visa showing I will be living in Thailand, will this help her to get the B2 tourist visa? She has family in Thailand, a good job and even owns a little land. Do you think her chance of getting the B2 tourist visa is good? And I've read the process could take only about 1 month. True? Thanks!

Thanks a lot for that video I’m french citizen planning to visit the States but I’m just stunned about some of the questions that are redundant and sometimes confusing eg: why are you asking about the names of parents I’m 67 my folks died 45 years ago there’s no point asking about the bank statement? I won’t take the risk to travel that far if I can’t afford the bottom line is maybe when one reaches a face to face interview things might be different hope so. Faiza from Copenhagen
