AMANTANI ISLAND HOMESTAY on Floating Islands of Lake Titicaca - Highest Navigable Lake in the World

Lake Titicaca is the world's highest navigable lake and we were lucky enough to be able to spend a few days exploring it. The day started with a visit to the Uros - the Floating Islands of Lake Titicaca, where we learned about the local way of life and how the islands were made.
We then went on an Amantani Island Homestay in Titicaca which is an island located on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca. We stayed with a local family and learned a little bit about their way of life including how they provide food for their families and the daily duties/work tasks.
At sunset we hiked up to the tallest point of the island to Pachamama temple to enjoy a beautiful sunset before we dressed up in traditional clothing to danced the night away.
