when you go back and listen to their entire discography, youll be able to come back to the songs youve already heard with new understanding and it changes the entire vibe and youll be able to enjoy everything in such a new way all over again. Honestly magical.
Her reaction in the transitions, she is taking it in. There is something beautiful about watching someone truly understand and fall in love with Sleep Token. It's amazing.
Probably won't truly get it unless they listen to the whole take me back to eden album in order, with this track being the ending that ties it all up together.. then she will get it. I mean it's a great song anyway, But it has much more of a meaning as the penultimate part of the TMBTE story.
Scott here. Yew-Klid. Euclid, the 'Father of geometry', created one of the most influential writings in history. He's responsible for so much of modern math. You might even say he brought to life parallels and symmetry. Might even bring three albums back around full circle. Might have even given life to Sines. At the end of the day, you can always find parallels to your life in music. This song is demonstrative to how artistic Vessel is as a song writer. I love that the first line, "Just run it back, give me five whole minutes" starts when there is 5 minutes left in the song. The first 18 seconds are used for instrumental. I first listened to Sleep Token during a 5 hour flight, decided to start at the first album, and finished with Euclid in the same flight. The call back to The Night Does Not Belong To God at the end of Euclid broke me, and then reshaped me. I doubt that I will ever Feel from a song so much. It's my favorite. Thanks for accepting the coffee.
Thank you Scott!! Watching her faces throughout these videos has been priceless lol. Sleep Token has breathed new life into music for me personally. ❤WORSHIP ❤
This album came out a year ago but I only discovered this song about 3-4 weeks ago. It came from a reaction video on TikTok. I'd never heard of the band, nor heard any of their other songs. Since then I can honestly say that 'Euclid' has changed my life. I have listened to it so many times whilst also trying not to over-play it. I have watched countless reaction videos, like yours, cos I needed to see if I was being over-emotional in my reaction to it but thankfully, it seems not. I can barely get through it without tearing up. It's one of the most beautiful, uplifting, euphoric pieces of music I've ever heard. It was the first Sleep Token song I ever heard and I've since listened to all 3 of their albums and do so daily. I'm so grateful to have found them and if it wasn't for reaction videos like this, I may never have. I love it so much, that my partner will be walking down the aisle to a piano version, on our wedding day next October. Says it all. I'll be a blubbering mess by the time she gets to me 😆
Euclid ends with the beginning of The Night Does Not Belong To God. The line, 'The night belongs to you' suggests Vessel has, after a devastating relationship breakdown which involved a heartbreaking loss of a baby, unaliving attempts, self harming, has found his way back to wholeness with the completion of the cycle reflected in the trilogy of albums. It's all one piece of work, really. Not since the likes of The Downward Spiral by NIN have we had such a deep thematic piece of work from any musician anywhere.
I think the line that hits the hardest for me is "I must be someone new." With that realization, he finally begins to heal. You are no longer my reality, so "give me the night." You only exist in my dreams now. It's time to move on.
This song hits so different after listening to their entire discography. Even just listening to the Take Me Back To Eden album from the beginning and ending with this song is just *chefs kiss* They truly are something special.
The Night Does Not Belong to God, The Night Belongs to You. This is the climax to the trilogy of albums...likely all related to one past relationship. This is the acceptance that it's time to move on. Utterly beautiful journey ahead of you.
This song ends with the first song of the trilogy albums "The Night Does Not Belong To God". I cannot describe the joy I felt listening to Euclid for the first time being someone that was a huge fan since their singles days. The Night Does Not Belong To God was a huge song for me.
What’s really interesting is that Euclid is the “ending” of their trilogy of albums but you can find references to earlier songs too @3:33 “this bough has broken through” On their first album titled “One” there is a track named “When the Bough Breaks”
This song always gets me because to me it's vessel finally finding closure and loving himself for the first time in a long time and I know that feeling..Thank you and of course Worship🙏
The lyrics at 4:46 are the same lyrics in their first song on their first album called The Night Does Not Belong To God. This ties up all 3 albums as a so called trilogy. They also start their live shows with TNDNBTG and end it with Euclid. Such incredible songwriting. Worship.
@DoubleTakeJC call me crazy or obsessed, but I've been searching TH-cam for new ST reactions every day for the last 2 years for exactly that reason. But I know I'm not the only one 😂
Great reaction you guys!!! This is the last song on the most recent album “Take Me Back To Eden” it ties the last two albums together in the Trilogy. Get into the lore behind these guys cause it definitely helps understand each song and the genre switches. If you do a full album reaction, I will buy you a coffee…or two! Worship!!!
I cry every time I listen to this song. It is the perfect ending to the masterpiece that is this three album story. Sleep Token is not just music. It is modern performance art. I highly recommend sitting down with good headphones and listening to the fully trilogy without stopping. It was the greatest musical experience I have ever had.
I'm not one to get emotional over things, but this song and The Night Does Not Belong To God make me tear up almost every time. They must be doing something right if they're making grown men cry! lol.
I'd love to see full album reactions of everything from the start, in order, including re-listens of songs you've heard. This song will hit even harder once you finish.
Please go back to the beginning and listen to their EPs in order, it’s worth it! my favorite song off their EPs is “Jericho” I think you guys are going to love it. 🫶🏻
I love your Sleep Token reactions. I've been listening to them since the beginning in 2015 and they have never let me down. Vessel's previous project is also amazing. Please do their song Telemeres. It will probably be your new favorite one as it is mine. ❤️
Follow their entire catalog in order. There are very few bands where that is worth it. Sleep Token is by far the top of the list. You will not regret it.
I was lucky to discover Sleep Token before I started my react channel because I went down the rabbit hole so intensely, I wouldn't have been able to wait. They have a hold on us that is just surreal! Return to this song once you've listened to everything, you'll love it even more!
Euclid pronounced (u clid) was the father of geometry and the namesake of the Euclidean circle. A circle where all points on the circumference are equal distance from a fixed center point. This song ends how the first album ends showing equal distance in all regards to Vessel’s mental health through a never ending cycle.
When you begin reacting from the EP’s, Sundowing all the way through to TMBTE, you’ll have to re-record your re-reaction to this song, and experience what we’ve all been through so many times over.
You guys heard the night belongs to god already but the ending is slightly different in Euclid to the other song so guess you guys didn’t catch it. But once you realize you’re going to be like ooooohhh! Such a great way to end this trilogy of albums and tie the last song perfectly to many past songs and the first melody and lyrics.
I always feel bad for new Sleep Token listeners who never got to experience the feeling of knowing their whole catalog then hearing The Night Does Not Belong To God at the end of Euclid.
I dare to say it's almost a mistake to listen to this closer song before listening to the full three albums and the EPs since it's such a circle closer with plenty of callbacks. also I see it as a love letter to the fans, mostly the ones who have been with this band from the start. Personally, since I found them a little bit after Sundowning came out, hearing Euclid in the middle of the night when the album came out, I was just smiling at the end of Euclid, feeling like I'd just watched the end of a fantastic movie or something.
I’ll never understand why people insist on reacting to Euclid before hearing everything that leads up to it. Yes, it’s an amazing piece of music as a standalone, but without hearing what came before it, it loses the full meaning.
I definitely get where you are coming from but this was a suggested song by one of their patreons. I am guessing they wanted them to hear their favorite song off the album. I too listened to “Euclid” before “TNDNBTG” (not on purpose) and it still hit me hard and made me love this freakin band even more. Worship!!!

wow... thank you so much for this comment... I didn't pay attention to this details until now. Now I'm even more in love with this song
shoulda spelled it "yew-klid" lmao, they were already having problems with the C

😭 I cry every time. I saw them preform this for the first time live, in Phoenix in April 😭 my hubby got to watch the entire theater cry.
This is one of my favourites.

I've heard that reactors have fewer issues when using spotify when doing album reactions. The even have the lyrics to follow along. Hope this helps!

if you listen to the 3 album trilogy and then listen to Euclid again, it will heal something in you.
