Just stumbled across your channel looking for information on Amadeal mini-lathes and pretty much stayed all day. Anyway thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks for looking. I also have an Amadeal milling machine. Have videos on this also. If I can help with any further info, I'd be happy to help. Cheers Nobby

Hello from Canada. Found your channel today and appreciated your story and this video. You looked cold but fully understand all the layers you were wearing at the time. With the beard, the cap and that welcoming face, you look like Dad (a Clarke, since passed away). Nice to meet you.

Nice to hear from you, and pleased you found my channel. It was very cold that day in Buckinghamshire England. Sorry to hear about your Dad. Take care, and be safe and happy. Cheers Nobby

I can see that the unimat lathes are quite a popular subject here on TH-cam.
    Merry Christmas 🎅

The Unimat was a great start for me. But as one of my old bosses said to me. With a small lathe you can only make small things but a big lathe can make small things as well. Was good advice. 👍

I have owned my mini mill and mini lathe for over 20 years. I have viewed 100s of TH-cam videos and websites about mini lathes. I don’t think I have ever seen that particular lever lock for the tail stock. Seems very user friendly.

Hi Gene, I guess it could be unique to this brand of lathe. For most operations it works fine, but when using large drills the extra pressure tends to push the tailstock back. That's why I added the brass plate which can be locked behind the tailstock, stopping this from happening. The tailstock lock on my Myford Lathe is more conventional, and locks positively. Thanks for visiting my channel. Cheers Nobby.
