Thank you David. I was so pleased with the video footage my wife took. She has a much better creative eye than me. I did talk to the fellow about the Essex Engine, and I mentioned you offered the castings. Some fantastic models on display this year at the show. Great inspiration. Cheers Nobby
Great video! I have never been to a model engineering event. I have never even built a model engine. However, watching your videos has encouraged me to build my very first model engine and I have decided to build a Webster engine from bar stock. Looking forward to seeing your future videos. Have a great day!
Glad you enjoyed the video. Good luck with the Webster Engine. That’s quite a challenge for a first engine build. Hope you share the build on TH-cam, so we can follow your progress. Regards Nobby
@@nobbysworkshop the engine is quite simple really. The valves, and valve guides are a bit of a challenge for my poor eyesight. Perhaps the carb will pose an issue as well, other than the aforementioned items, the Webster is childsplay. I highly recommend it for the beginner who has an interest in building an IC engine from bar stock. If I can figure out how to work the video cam option on my iPhone I may share a video. I can be rather shaky with a camera, unlike your skilled hand with video work. The footage that you presented was as smooth as silk, a seamless framework equal to that of a skilled videographer.
@@taranson3057I’ve watched several builds of the Webster engine on TH-cam, and there’s two I’d recommend taking a look at. Mattys Workshop and Ades Workshop. I use an iPhone for my videos always mounted on a tripod or a clamp. The iPhone is so easy to use, and the iMovie very simple as well. Should be no problem for you. ATB Nobby
Hi Nobby Nice video from you and your wife this is just the thing I miss her in germany we just have A Modell Show with plans cars Shops and a bit of steam and stands with parts from Brian w.germany
Maybe the lack of exhibitions in Germany is the same that’s happening here in the UK. I used to be able to visit four model engineering exhibitions each year, but now only one. There are a few in the north of England, but too far for me to travel now, as I can no longer drive. Glad you enjoyed the walk round. Cheers Nobby
That was great Nobby vicariously enjoying that stroll through with you.....cheers Jim
Glad you enjoyed it Jim. Hope you liked the Sterling Engine Society display. There were some lovely engines there. Cheers Nobby
Great walk around Nobby. Nice camera work. Most enjoyable journey. Cheers Rob
Thanks Rob. My wife did a great job filming the exhibits. Fun day all round. Cheers Nobby
thanks for the tour Nobby, enjoyed it

Couldn't get there, so thanks for sharing. Looks like a really great day out.
A really enjoyable day all round Stuart. Hope you can make it next time. Cheers Nobby
Mrs Nobby made agreat job with the video. At 8:32 there is an Essex engine made from my castings.
I saw that 🤣

Hope you can make it next year Rusty. You’ll have a great time. Cheers Nobby

Lovely to catch up with you Nobby 😀 thanks for posting a video I always miss something.
Nice to meet you as well Julia. Wish I could have had a second day there. So much to see, and a chance to talk to people. Take care. Nobby
Great tour around the show Nobby 👍👍👍 Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Alan.
My pleasure Alan. Was a fun day out. Nobby
Great footage. Good to see the mechano as always. Sadly missed the show this year as you know, but at least I got to play with big trains instead. 😊
I was expecting to see a mechanical pork pie on the stand for the Melton Mowbray society.
There’s always next year if you’re free. I think they ate the pie before we got there 😮
Thanks Nobby for showing me what I missed 🤣 nothing like a model show for getting you fired up (pun intended) ATB Mark
Sorry you had to miss it Mark. Hope you can make it next time. Maybe we can meet up then. Take care and good luck with the new workshop. Cheers Nobby
Good video Nobby
Thanks Michel. Regards Nobby
