BRUH THANK YOU SO MUCH my ps5 was beeping 3 times and didn’t let me enter sleep mode I did what you did turn the PlayStation with the controller and hold the power button until the beep came restart the ps5 and it worked thank you so much this is what my dad left me when he passed away didn’t lose nothing got everything even his account thank you
If your screen freezes. Don't unplug ps5! That will put you into blue light hell. Reset your remote. There's a small hole on the underneath of the controller. Stick a paperclip in the hole for 5 seconds. It took some time to find this info and it works!
I had this same issue! After 63 tries and 126 beeps later I gave up and decided to send it to Sony. I went to take my 2TB M.2 SSD out and for whatever reason decided to give it one more go. IT BOOTED UP! So, if you having the blue light of death, IT MIGHT BE YOUR SSD. I have (more like had) a 2TB XPG GAMMIX S70 paired with a MHQJRH Heatsink. Both of which are rated excellent for the PS5 according to several sites. So, I'ma chalk it up as P.I.T. and order another one. Lucky me its still inside the return window! HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE!
Try inserting a game with power off while holding the power button. I finally got to safe mode. Then rebuild the data base. It won't take 2 hours like it says, and you won't loose anything. Also it will take a few minutes. Don't push any buttons. Mine went to no signal and I thought I was back to square one but it turned on.
I went through this again. Power cord wasn't plugged in all the way. Then it froze when watching Netflix. Blinking blue light again. Be patient keep unplugging, hold button, try inserting disk while holding button. Finally got to safe mode. My power went out, maybe that caused the blue light. What a pain in the ass. Figure this shit out Sony!
Bro I don’t know I tried every method I pressed the controller first and hold down the button on the ps5 still didn’t work. Every video I watched on TH-cam is telling me go into safe mode and it’s like I CANT GET INTO SAFE MODE. I don’t know what to do don’t want to send it back to Sony over the Christmas because that’s when I want to play it and I’m frustrated I tried power cycling didn’t work. I tried every trick in the book didn’t work I just don’t know what to do and I don’t want to open it up and then Sony won’t fix it if it was to come to that. I need help
Been dealing with this all morning thanks for the help couldn't find anything online. Mine would try to rebuild everytime so I just tried to intercept it after the restart from it rebuilding and I finally got into safe mode what a relief!
I solved this issue by removing M.2 SSD! The PS5 was blinking with blue lights only, & can't go into safe mode, everything back to normal after removing the M.2 (GM7000) after 2 months of installation!
Same issue. Using an ADATA 2TB M.2 SSD. Removed the M.2 and everything back to normal - except my pocketbook was $150 lighter. Now to investigate getting the M.2 replaced - what a pain.
I got a green screen while playing Elden Ring. Twice. After the second time, my console won't power back on. I've tried everything, including now your method. I get a beep and the blue light comes on for a second, and then nothing. If I hold the button nothing happens. Of course my warranty just ran out recently so they're wanting 240 dollars to send it in, which I'm reluctant to do because the console bricked through no fault of my own. I've had the thing for just over a year and haven't even played it that much.
@@obtofficial did u solve the issue and if so, how? I have the problem right now and I can’t find anything that works and scared that I have to send it back to Sony
idk if this will help anybody but my safe mode still wouldn’t work after doing what he said so i just held the button for a long time then a there was a third beep and my screen flashed white then it started working again. idk if i got lucky or what but it’s working now
With Xbox, if you hold until the 3rd beep it automatically does a reboot and reinstall off OS if you have the USB stick in, so maybe that's what happened in your case . Is it up and working?
@@Valley6 so your console isn't doing anything? No power? It's easy enough to tear it down, to get to power supply.. Do that and plug in the power supply and test to see if you're at least getting 12v from the output.. If it's not that, then it's not gonna be fun. I'm trying to fix one now that beeps when I plug it in, but does nothing
Hi idk if anyone has this problem but mine goes from flashing blue lights, to a white light. Then during white light it either says “please wait…” and never loads until it shuts off by itself, or it says “plug in USB to controller and press ps button” which I do but then takes me to the “please wait” screen again until it turns off. When it turns off it turns on by itself again and repeats the whole process again and again. I’m in this loop I can’t get out of. I haven’t tried taking out the SSD yet but I’d like to know if there’s any other fix… or if anyone else had this problem
I'm having a very similar issue except mine is that it will turn on for like a second and then turn back off I press the power button - beep + blue light turns on - roughly a second and a half passes = blue light turns off I just got this brand new PS5, plugged it in, same as you. It booted up, and I had my LAN cable plugged in, so it asked me if I wanted to download the latest software update before beginning the start up sequence. So I did that. Let it download for about a minute. It finished, then restarted on it's own. I was texting on my phone as a screen popped up but I didn't see what it said. The PS5 turned off again. I finished texting and then I waited for a moment because I figured the PS5 was doing another restart.. But nope. After about 2 minutes, I tried to turn it on myself. That was when it did the continuous blue light thing that everyone else was having an issue with. I waited several minutes before trying to turn the PS5 off and back on. When I finally did try, I had to hold the button down for it to actually turn off. From then on, now I'm having the issue where it turns on and then immediately back off 😢 The odd thing though, is that when I try your method, with the controller, it does stay on for a little while longer. It goes to the second beep, and then turns off. But when it comes back on by itself, it does the initial issue again where it immediately shuts off after about a second 😩 On another level of odd, is that the controller method won't even work a little bit with the controller I got along with the PS5. It only works with my other black Dualsense controller that I have been using for my PC for awhile. I really hope I don't have to get this sent back 😓😓😓 it's already been like 2 years of waiting and I had to pay alot more to get it sent to an FPO address through another vendor.
Nothing is working for me my tv input is on ps5, it won’t even go into safe mode at all. Over tried every single way, this happens to me like every other month and it takes forever for me to figure out how to get my ps5 back on.

Try holding longer until you hear the second beep. Don't let off the button. I don't know what I'm doing but it's worth a shot.
Hold down the button longer until second beep. If you end up getting it to work DON'T PUT IN REST/STANDBY MODE. Turn off every time. Good luck
