Just like when people get Asian worded tattoos without checking with someone who actually speaks and writes the language first! All of my neighbors are Vietnamese. Then, I found out one was Cambodian. They are the minority! The census doesn't measure Chinese vs Vietnamese, but I would be willing to bet it would be a very close race between the ethnicities.
I usually disagree when Luke goes ‘I know it looks ugly but actually it references…’ when it’s still ugly, so this review with Helmut Lang was really refreshing

Excited to see what Peter Do can do at Helmut Lang. He's an amazing designer and he's got a great brand to work with and showcase his design. His first collection was underwhelming, but I have faith that he will evolve and his next collection will definitely be much better
Re plus size wanting to not show a part of their body Yes, you are correct that some feel comfortable with showing different parts, but what is important is that EVERYONE has the opportunity to show what they wish, to wear what makes them feel good.
Peter Do has a lot of work to do with Helmut Lang. A special thing about Helmut Lang is that the “cool” was effortless. Simple but intriguing. He has to dig deep and understand the technological and marketing side of Helmut Lang
In many of these collections, you can really see a paring back of embellishments to reflect the recent economic upheaval. We probably have quite a bit more of that to look forward to, sigh. The floral embellished jeans were lovely, though. You did a great job pointing out what was still good and what was too far into blandsville. 💖
Some of the Helmut Lang pieces felt like they were put together from Etsy scraps ...... You're right Peter should just make the brand his own, his pieces were really playful and interesting rather than force his design into a past designer's aesthetic ... :) 😃

What I loved most was the inclusivity of the models! To see so many different body types and ages was wonderful. Several of these collections showed pieces that I could see both my 25-year-old child and myself,mat 60, wearing, and looking stunning in.

The Reddit sewing community hates mood because the pictures of their samples are so poorly sewn, and their patterns aren’t very professional. CS’s designs remind me of that. I can see the AREA designs working in ready to wear, yet becoming a bit faddish. It reminds me of the 80’s (yes I’m old) When something very cool gets done to death because everyone wants it.
I agree, I love Coach but yes as a clothing brand. It's a no for me, not because the material isn't good. But it doesn't really stand out to me. The bags however, they do it for me every time 👏

Ralph Lauren: in 1974 my mom made some gold disco pants for my Barbie that looked and fit better than these ones. I thought the gold here was overused and trying to make up for lack of originality. The gold denim was cool, and the polo but that one was just paired stupidly.
Well reviewed all around. I will never understand why designers wish to make women look terrible. The see-through clothes are great. Try wearing them toa party .and see what kind of remarks you got . Most of the clothes are just example of big egos doing big things.
Boring and stale outing for the entire event. Thank God is the one opening the fashion month so by the end of it we all have forgotten about it happening. The best efforts and the more succesful collections were presented by the "little" and "up-and-coming" brands, all the big brands delivered nothing but a serious lack of luster, style and vision, it was pretty obvious what european brands were on the moodboard and what they were trying to emulate. Excited for your other reviews tho! Always fun to listen to your point of view!

I'm sorry but the fit a 8:53 with the yellow shirt and pants with the stripe reminds me of the wiggles. Look up the yellow wiggle from the wiggles and you'll see what I mean 😅
