So there is D-log? Please can you make a followtrough menu to see the color profiles in video?
From your test footage, I can tell that the clarity, and sharpness are way ahead of the Pro, and Platinum footage. I also notice that this camera has none of the odd blur halo around objects, especially when seeing through an object like a tree, or bush, that the other Mavic camera models exhibited.
This blur effect came from noise reduction that the MP do if selected sharpness value is lower than +1. He may have recorded with sharpness +1 and did noise reduction in post production. Just wait a bit more for others with footage and their recording settings.
How reliable is the DJI application with Mavic air? Is there any experience with flights during which erratic behavior was noticed?

Does anyone know the dynamic range of the camera? Nobody's talking about it and I'm worried that it's not great from the footage I've seen. Love the bitrate bump but I don't want to always have to choose between blown out highs or clipped shadows.

Does Mavic Air include all these modes besides quick shots and active track?
What's the difference between Follow Me and Active Track? Good point on the others though! :-)
andywild76 active track follows the target visually while follow me mode follows the target through mobile GPS location

There is one link for SD Card. You can’t see the link unless you hit the DOWN ARROW BUTTON at the right hand side of the video. Just right under the video. Of course you got to minimise the video to see that button.
I use Sandisk Extreme Pro, red and black coloured card. It’s fast enough for 4K. Tom is right. 👍

the only 2 things that it fails its the OcuSync of the Pro vs the Enhanced Wi-Fi of the Air .. and the controller which has better features on the Pro
Hello, and for the film mode? do you have different cinematic settings ? like Slog, flate mode,...etc...I mean same as the regular Mavic pro?
there is cine-d which is pretty fine for post. 4k is packed with details.
The problem of mavic air is the desaturated colors areas. from 1:22 time the colors of clouds in sky are so desaturated so even in postprocessing in't can't be fix. I have too my mavic air and have same issue with colors. Note.....in cache phone memmory every things are fine and colored but into mavic SD card are not.
Does the mavic air have zoom?
Since I haven't received mine yet, I would like to know if the Air really supports 1080P60Hz because to the date I haven't seen a single video shot with this drone that looks smooth when panning large views, with lots colors and information. The frame rates of these drones seem to be still too low to create a true cinematic experience.

@Philipp Smoothness in video reproduction isn't just about fps. You have to consider Hz which tells how many times a screen is refreshed. That's where I see some deficiencies in all the videos I've watched so far for this new drone.
The Air's video gets particularly choppy when new data is introduced as is the case when panning and the algos can't use already available bits and it has to compute larger previously unavailable chunks of information.
Not exactly. The main reason of choppy video is the frame rate and shutter speed desync. For smooth video shutter speed must be a multiple of frame rate (if fps is 30 shutter speed = 1/30 or 1/60, 1/90 etc). And that is why you need a ND filter for sunny days. Usually people shoot video with auto shutter speed - this is the reason.
Philipp Seven In reality it’s a bit more complex than that. There are many things involved in smooth video recordings and transmissions. Bit rate, throughput and the ability of the hardware/software to process a stream with eye-fooling speeds. Unfortunately, we aren’t there yet with this product. 100 megabit (theoretical) is a gallant effort though.

All these people given the drones from DJI for marketing do not seem to be going to in depth regarding camera settings, waypoints etc etc etc I wonder why....... something to hide that makes this not so appealing? Why don't you highlight that this does not feature Gesture Mode, Cinematic Mode, Fixed-Wing Mode, TapFly, Terrian Follow, Point of Interest, Course Lock & Home Lock? And are you sure it supports RAW Format Photo's? DJI compare doesn't mention it.

What I wouldn't give for my phone to actually fit completely into the controller while connected 🙏
I know it's a smaller battery and I know it's the reason why it's a 21 minutes only but it would of been nice if the engineers could of made it a 30 minute battery drone even if they made the drone a little but larger.
That is the Mavic Pro Platinum.
i think useful flight time is limited not more than 15 to 17 minutes...
Unfortunately it's not the for engineers to decide max flight times etc :-(
I fly within 11/2 miles of a commercial airport. Will the Air firmware allow me to fly? If not, can a setting change make it so?

Why don't you tell us the truth that the camera on Mavic Air is not as sharp as Mavic Pro's.
I just received my air, I had the pro and the spark. Unless you have something wrong configured or corrected by software, I can say that this is true. the image in the mavic pro I at least saw it more clearly, in the air I see it as more pasty. Sorry for the translation
