    Hey, I really like your enthusiastic expression of the hawk that just came in from the right hand side. Fortunately, it was not a birdstrike, but I understand your experience of the situation, greetings from Denmark.

    Nice. I flew my Mavic Pro over the Everglades when visiting my Daughter in Naples, FL. I used a way point programmed flight mode and just watched it go. Unfortunately, even though I was flying over a nature preserve, no Alligators in the video. ;)

    Great flight! I’m in northern DE and up here, I find it a challenge to fly my Mavic Air due to flight restrictions and a lot of interference issues unless I’m in Glasgow Park, Newark or Delaware City. I have posted a few flights but no range tests. Thanks and keep posting! I hope to get to the Rehoboth area before winter.

    Thank you for the awesome video!! That bird was close..... What an awesome shot! It's refreshing to see another MA video since the Mavic Pro 2 release. I'm still on .0300 firmware as well. Seems like all the firmware proceeding this has too many issues. Only issue I have is RTH to Remote Location on my new iPad 9.7 with cellular. Simply won't connect due to weak signal. I've done a couple iPad tests for GPS signal which proved perfect in every way........ DJI engineers stated that it would be fixed through the next software through several emails with them. This was well before .0500 firmware....... which was not resolved. Other than that, .0300 is solid. Thanks again for an awesome video, I have learned a lot from you over the past year. Ray 👍😊

    I was worried about updating my firmware and fly safe database as well but I’m glad I did. They actually dialed in the no fly zones around me to be more specific and I can actually fly in areas I couldn’t before. I don’t know if it was from a complaint I left or if they are slowly catching up on mapping.

    Love mine bro...what firmware do you recommend?
    I'm running the most current.
    I know mine will go further ...so far 9300 ft. is my greatest distance ...landing with 26% battery still left...I feel I could have went another 3 or 4 thousand feet.

    I think the Normal Vs Sport Mode is debatable. I always get the same distance in both. i just get there quicker in Sport Mode. My personal best was 12,600 feet in the PA. mountains. And.. I always lose contact with the drone. Screen goes blank with zero input at all. Somehow, its always manages to find its way back home safely. Ive gotten so used to it that I put the controller down, open up a beer and just wait for it come home. and, so far it always has. : ) P.S. Here is one of my further flights. th-cam.com/video/DVs7KEd4t50/w-d-xo.html I lost contact around 4.55. No control at all. But she came home in one piece.

    Was this this a hobbyist (Part 336) or Part 107 flight?
    If it was hobbyist flight what COB guidelines were you flying under to fly beyond VLOS?
    If Part 107, do you have a BVLOS Waiver?
    Either way, it seems to me this flight is a violation and you have provided video proof.
    Please help me understand if I am wrong.

    It's a shame you lost a signal bar by going higher that's ridiculous usually you would have a better signal when you're higher that's why the mavic is a horrible drone for signal interference of any sort I think if you sneeze you would lose a bar that's how bad it is DJI you should have used Occusync

  • @anthonysmith5979
    @anthonysmith5979 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wouldn't surprise me if you got fined for this, in Australia I was fined for less. And here if you impacted with a bird of prey you would have to sell your house.

    • @edrone_
      @edrone_  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bird encounter was definitely not intentional why do you think I would get fined?

    • @anthonysmith5979
      @anthonysmith5979 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      if in Aust' Going beyond line of site and operating in a situation where a bird of prey was subject to impact. your FAA rules are about to change.

    • @edrone_
      @edrone_  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@anthonysmith5979 I had my wife a mile out as a spotter for vlos and how are you supposed to have control of what the birds do if you are flying in legal airspace?

    • @anthonysmith5979
      @anthonysmith5979 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah as I said, if in Australia. Also your spotter is allowed but only standing in close proximity. Our Civil Aviation Safety Authority would have you in court. I've done similar with my inspire and mavic, now I've had to make the videos private might have to sell up and move to the USA lol. I believe the FAA rules for hobbyist is only restricted to 400 ft altitude otherwise it's open but from what I'm hearing it's all about to change over there.

    • @edrone_
      @edrone_  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice.But you should never have the Return To Home activate its self.Thats the last option a safe drone pilot wants to happen.You are taking a risk of many things going wrong.And this days.Well I'am just not going to say.Good Luck flying anyways.

    • @edrone_
      @edrone_  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are only two options for lost signal return to home or land and I dont want the drone to land whenever it loses signal

    • @Charlesbjtown

      Anything to do with a drone is the last thing you need to worry about. Learn how to type a decent paragraph first.
