I don't think it is much of an upgrade from the band 6. Much like the difference between the 4 and 5. I'm gonna wait to the mi band 7 pro that's been announced looks interesting. Please review Chris!
I own both the 4 and 5 and there were huge changes .... 5 reduced battery life to about 10 days from the spectacular 60 days I was getting on the 4. Also the display is much bigger on the 5. 5 also can do pulse. So even though the battery life is abysmal on the 5 I use it instead of the 4 due to those benefits.
@@Mistdragoon I mean the screen is definitely an upgrade from the 5 if you choose either the 6 or 7. Which have the added SpO2 and added tools and customisation. If you can get a good deal on either sure.

I'm still using a Mi band 5. You can get various after market bands abd I use a metal one (because me an silicone don't get on). I may get this upgrade because It adds some sensors I want. You will need to turn up the brightness because the default level is too low.
I have the band 6 and the step tracking is atrocious, walk a quarter mile and it adds 100 steps set it down and it adds 10. My family has fitbits, Apple watches, and Garmins and they all seem to agree on step amounts but mine usually has about 1/3 of what theirs say. Sleep tracking is much worse compared to my old fitbit, I’ll get an awful nights sleep and it will give me a 92 sleep score

Uncertain about whether to now upgrade to a full smartwatch instead.

Everything about this is accurate EXCEPT the ability to make a custom display. Maybe they removed it from the US version of the app, but it's not here. Otherwise really good band and me and my other half each got one because this review
Hope they come with a firmware update so we can add display brightness and light as a widget or quick access. I find it counter intuitive that the list GHT function is hidden behind 3 clicks
A niceworkaround is, organise the swipe menu. Ive now set settings first, then light, then timer. The other apps i can access from left-right swipe. This is also as fast
I'm thinking of picking up one of these since my Ticwatch Pro 3 has decided it doesn't want to work anymore. Don't see myself going down the smartwatch route ever again.
Hey man I really have an important question, can you please tell me does this band count total calories throughout the day like while just sitting down and while sleeping ? Or does it only count calories if you manually start a workout? I really hope you reply to this or even anyone who have used the Mi band 7.
I have one of these. For what it's worth, I've taken mine into the shower with no ill effects. :) I have mixed feelings about the 7. I upgraded from the 6 to the 7, and I don't feel like the accuracy was really there with the connected GPS. I don't know why, but it gave me different distance readings than the Mi Band 6 did. I bought a Fitbit Charge 4 off of Ebay since it has a standalone GPS, but that one has its problems, too. I also got the Amazon Halo View for $49, so I'm going to look into that when it arrives on Monday. I think it's going to come down to the Amazon Halo View or the Mi Band 7 for me. I need to do a head to head when the Amazon Halo View arrives.
@@reetaa261 I just saw this notification now for some reason. Sorry about that. I didn't like the Halo View. I'm using a Fitbit Charge 5 now. The main problem I had with the Amazon Halo View is that it doesn't connect with your phone's GPS -- at all. So you can't use it to measure distances walked/run, etc. It's also fairly limited in the exercises you can do. I would recommend the Mi Band 7, out of all of them. It's relatively inexpensive, and it does most of what the Fitbit Charge 5 can do (unless you want the ECG and EDM that the Charge 5 has). I have to do more research on it, but my initial impression is that the internal GPS on the Fitbit just isn't up to snuff. It doesn't give me accurate distances.
its very good....but it has some negatives....doesnt count heart beats during swimming, band shows more details than app and when you shake your hand, it counts steps
Is it possible to do your work out with the Mi Band 7 and leave your phone behind? Meaning, it will sync with the phone as soon as it is back within bluetooth range. Thanks.
Mmmmmm...Pie... This is a GREAT review; lots of detail yet not boring or over my head. Covers my greatest concerns and does really sell this product as what I'm looking for. I'm an inactive senior in my 70s; I'm just not going to be doing sports or gyms anymore. Mainly, I want: -lowcost (I'm on a fixed income that so low I end up eligible for all charity benefits private and governmental) -one-time expense (don't mind buying the occasional app or widget, but don't want a rotating subscription expense) -Pedometer (to encourage movement and minimal exercise) -Sleep Quality Monitor (I suffer insomnia and an irregular circadian cycle, and I see this product covers deep sleep, light sleep and REM* phase!) -Heart Monitor (like I said, in my 70s) -Ease of use (I'm incredibly tech savvy, but anything that's user-friendly is still a plus) This product does all that, so meets the basic requirements. But then it goes further: -modifiable/removable features (simplifies use even more; so many I just don't need) -flashlight (actually a safety feature for seniors) -Find-My-Phone feature (Oh, MAN! YES!!!) -Notification settings (as you get older, being able to set alarms for things become another safety feature as well as just generally useful) -readings record and graph on smartphone (getting the most out of the money spend!) -and I see I can buy about 20 different colors of replacement bands for this product at less than $7 for all 20 (superficial, but a girl likes to have options!)
