  • A creation made from a smokeless fire invisible to the eyes of men, a world immersed in mystery & folklore.
From old wives' tales to Hollywood blockbusters the world of Jinns has been exploited & fantasized to create superstitious beliefs and fabricated legends.
Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi separates truth from myth in this new talk entitled 'The Reality of Jinn in the Qur'an & Sunnah'.
Not a talk for the faint-hearted!
Hollywood Movie Jinn - Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad, Ray Park, Serinda Swan, Faran Tahir

Brothers and sisters please do not respond to people who are clearly here to start trouble. Also if you read a question that you have the urge to answer but you don't have full knowledge and understanding of that topic, leave it to the people who do, even if you think you know enough. I know it hurts the ego when people talk about our beliefs and I know it makes us angry when people disrespect Allah (swt) and His messenger (saws) but just let them speak and Allah see's your effort to show restraint. This will Inshallah stop us from leading people further astray, even other muslims, even though we are thinking we are doing good.

Spirifiume As you probably know there is a statement as "muslim is not perfect but islam is". And only fully acknowledged and educated people and scholars in Islam can correctly answer your questions. Best way to search is forums, Masjids but certainly not in the comment section under a youtube video.
So basically the person who commented this statement is encouraging people from avoiding any argument with negatively charged people.
And YES average muslim nowadays doesn't have enough knowledge regarding Islam to participate in a debate by enlightening and showing it's beautiful light in it.

    • @Spirifiume
      @Spirifiume 8 ปีที่แล้ว

***** ALL religions that need human interpreters of the words of the god are false. Allah himself has said he kept the koran simple and understandable for everyone. Scholars are no more than parasites, living an easy and wealthy life by telling ignorant people they are needed to explain what the god wants. If an allmighty and allknowing god isn't capable of persuading the people of the world one way or another by himself, he is a false god. Like your allah probably is.

I actually saw a male jinn in a bathroom! I though it was a joker at first or something..
At the time I had no idea what is was, all I could see was a man with horns smiling. I didn’t see it in psychical form neither, but rather in a shadowy figure type of form. Which I researched and they appear in the shadows or something like that.
As I researched it, and I saw that Jin loves bathroom, and toilets! I was sitting on a toilet when I saw him! And the building I was in was a rather dark drug infested place. Not a pure place at all!
Anyways this whole experience has my questioning everything, I’m not religious at all rather spiritual but I might convert to Islam after all this. Mind boggling

He said animals can see them, but I'd also heard that children can too. When I went to a daycare to get my son something strange happened. I was outside walking towards my son when all the preschoolers at his picnic table turned their heads to the right. I did not see anything. I asked my four year old son what he and all the children were looking at. He replied, "Ah, Mom, we were just looking at the shadow-man who ran over our table." I hurried my son out of there without frightening him. I just old him, "oh, okay, let's get going now."

Do you mean another world where life exists?
If so, "Alameen" doesn't imply life elsewhere. It refers to all the heavens and earth, according to Islamic interpretation. In English, it simply means the universe.
Does life exist elsewhere? No mention of it in Quran nor Sunna. But certainly, Jinns exist even though, they are invisible to us. May be they in dimensions greater than 3.

Definitely it is not mentioned explicitly in Quran or Hadith, but it can be derived from this ayah and other references. Taking the derivation forward, this Aayah chose - "Rab" amongst other attributional names of Allah. Rab means The Master and Sustainer (of life)... who sustains the life of all the created species (Aalameen) individually, collectively and in relations to each other. Sustenance is provided separately to each of these Aalams, and one Aalam may necessarily not interact with another Aalam. Eg. Deep water creatures doesn't exists at all for the birds... Jinns are hidden from Humans... Angels are hidden from both Jinns and Humans but can be seen by animals... And as we humans are more evolved that the birds and the fishes and other species we know all about them but a deep water fish may not know that Humans exists...
So, it is quite possible that there might be life elsewhere too, it may be more evolved than humans or more primitive than us, it may be similar to the weird shaped aliens as shown in movies or they may be in even better form than us... Allah knows the best...

If you are a true Christian or Jew or whatever religion you are, and were faithful, you would know not to be hot-headed and outright claim that people are "insane" and are "held by the Devil." A true Abrahamic follower would not accuse the other of being a liar and being stupid. Keep your opinion to yourself if you don't agree with someone. The thing is, you see a lot of people attacking Muslims in these comments, but you don't see the opposite happening here---you see them asking God to give them guidance. People, if you don't believe what someone else believes, that is one thing. If you attack another religion without being provoked, that is another. Seriously, grow up. Like if you agree.

    Bismillah-Hir-Rahman-Nir-Raheem
    Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
    The Jinn
Prepare now to undertake a journey upon the wings of scientific vision into the ancient past to explore the nature and identity of the jinn. The Quranic concept of jinn has been briefly discussed before in Life in the Perspective of Quranic Revelations. Arabic lexicon mentions the following as the possible meanings of the word jinn. It literally means anything which has the connotation of concealment, invisibility, seclusion and remoteness. It also has the connotation of thick shades and dark shadows. That is why the word ‘jannah’ (from the same root word) is employed by the Quran to denote the paradise, which would be full of thick, heavily shaded gardens. The word jinn is also applicable to snakes which habitually remain hidden from common view and live a life secluded from other animals in the rock crevices and earthen holes. It is also applied to women who observe segregation and to such chieftains as keep their distance from the common people. The inhabitants of remote, inaccessible mountains are likewise referred to as jinn. Hence, anything which lies beyond the reach of common sight or is invisible to the unaided naked eye, could well be described by this word.
This proposition is fully endorsed by a tradition of the Holy Prophet SAW in which he strongly admonishes people not to use dried up lumps of dung or bones of dead animals for cleaning themselves after attending to the call of nature because they are food for the jinn. As we use toilet paper now, at that time people used lumps of earth, stones or any dry article close at hand to clean themselves. We can safely infer therefore, that what he referred to as jinn was nothing other than some invisible organisms, which feed on rotting bones, dung etc. Remember that the concept of bacteria and viruses was not till then born. No man had even the vaguest idea about the existence of such invisible tiny creatures. Amazingly it is to these that the Holy Prophet PBUH referred. The Arabic language could offer him no better, more appropriate expression than the word jinn.
Another important observation made by the Quran is in relation to the creation of the jinn. They are described as having been born out of blasts of fire (from the cosmos).
    Al-Hijr Chapter 15 : Verse 28
And the Jinn We created before that (the creation of man) from blasts of fire (naris-samum).1
Here the adjective used to describe the nature of the particular fire from which the jinn were created is Samum, which means a blazing fire or a blast that has no smoke.2 We find a similar statement in another Quranic verse
    Al-Rahman Chapter 55 : Verse 16
And the Jinn He created from the flame of fire.3
Having established that the word jinn applies here to some type of bacterial organisms, let us again turn our attention to the verses quoted above that speak of the jinn as having been created out of fire. The prime candidates for the application of these verses seem to be such minute organisms as drew the energy for their existence directly from hot blazes of lightning-Samum- and cosmic radiation.
Dickerson inadvertently agrees with the Quranic view he observes that the most ancient organisms:- ‘…would have lived on the energy of lightning and ultraviolet radiation…’4
This scenario of cosmic radiation is not specifically mentioned in the work of other scientists in their search for the pre-biotic organisms. But they too have corroborated the idea that whatever organisms existed before biotic evolution must have drawn their energy directly from heat. Of all the categories of bacteria classified as the most ancient only ‘prokaryotes’ and ‘eukaryotes’ were mentioned by previous generations of scientists. However, that conclusion proved to be a hastily drawn one, according to Karl R. Wœse and his colleagues. They observed: ‘Simply because there are two types of cell at the microscopic level’ it does not follow that there must be only two types at the molecular level.’5
For the benefit of the lay reader the difference between the two bacteria, known as the prokaryotes and eukaryotes, is explained in terms as simple as possible. It relates to the presence or absence of a nucleus in them. The prokaryote type of bacteria, despite having a well-defined cell membrane, have no distinct nucleus. The eukaryotes on the other hand, possess well-defined and well-developed nuclei occupying the center of each cell.
It was considered that these were the only two ancient forms of bacteria which gave birth to others and evolved into organisms which could be referred to as the ancestors of life. However, Wœse published the findings of his pioneer research in Scientific American, June 1981, claiming that archaebacteria, could be rightly considered as the earliest form of organisms. He and his colleagues informed the scientific community that they were a third distinct line which preceded all others. Thus it is they who should be entitled as the most ancient ancestors of life. Wœse and his collaborators continued to pour strong evidence into this discovery and as the ice began to thaw, according to Wœse: ‘Although a few biologists still dispute our interpretation, the idea that archaebacteria represent a separate grouping at the highest level is becoming generally accepted.’6
Again he writes: ‘This implies that the methanogens are as old as or older than any other bacterial group.’6
According to The Hutchinson Dictionary of Science:
‘…the archaebacteria are related to the earliest life forms, which appeared about 4 billion years ago, when there was little oxygen in the Earth’s atmosphere.’7
But the author of Genetics a Molecular Approach states: Since 1977 more and more differences between archaebacteria and otherprokaryotes have been found, so much so that microbiologist now favour the term archaea, to emphasize that these organisms are distinct from bacteria.’8
THE ORGANISMS REFERRED TO AS JINN in the Quran seem to fit the above description. But, though scientists unanimously describe these bacteria as possessing the potential of drawing their energy from heat, they are not mentioned as having been originally created directly by the cosmic rays and blasts of lightning by any scientist other than Dickerson. ‘The rest however, continue to throw more light on their various modes of dependence on heat for their survival: “… in undersea vents, hot springs the Dead Sea, and salt pans, and have even adapted to refuse tips.’9
On the issue of antiquity though, Wœse and his colleagues have no doubt that the archaebacteria are the prime claimants. According to some scientists they may have evolved from some unknown parenthood simultaneously.
But these are issues which fall outside the domain of this exercise. Whether the other bacteria evolved out of them or not is irrelevant to the discussion. The relevant point is that all forms of most ancient bacteria draw their energy directly from heat. This is a tribute of no small magnitude to the Quranic declaration made over fourteen hundred years ago:
    Al-Hijr Chapter 15 : Verse 28
And the Jinn We created before that (the creation of man) from blasts of fire (naris-samum).10
According to the accepted scientific studies, direct heat from fire had to play a vital role in the creation and maintenance of pre-biotic organisms. This, in fact was the only mode of transfer of energy for the consumption of organized forms of existence during this era. As they multiplied during their uninterrupted proliferation lasting over billions of years, their death must have polluted the oceans while they decayed and fermented turning the oceans into the primordial soup. This will be discussed at greater length in the following chapter.

of course to people who have not had experience(s) with them, it sounds absurd. I would call these people liars and crazies too, if i had not experienced it myself. It is not a question of if these experiences are real, just to what degree. Are they real in the traditional sense or are they a chemical imbalance in my brain or some other scientific reason, is up to debate. After all I'm no doctor or spiritualist. All I know is what I've seen and experienced. The cause remains a mystery to me. I'm a very skeptical when it comes to anything paranormal but i cant deny what i have experienced and they appeared to be very real.

I have seen a jinn with my eyes or what I definitely think is a jinn.
I am 30 now when I was about 10 my grandmother and I went out to see the neighbor to get some lime to make juice around dusk. this is in Jamaica in a rural area by the way( cambridge, st james) on our way I started to smell a stong smell of perfume by the time I looked across the road I saw a person walking but had no face just a black empty space where the face was sopose to be it had alot of necklace made of teeth. I kept saying to my grandmother I cant see the face and she told me to not look we walked faster and she told me to say the our father prayer ( grandma was Christian at the time) I kept peeking just trying to make sense of what I was seeing. the thing walked to a light post and vanished in thin air.
later that night we heard that someone was being attacked by a demon and the church close by went to try and get rid of the jinn. according to what my grandmother told me the thing was tossing the woman all around the house and the told the pastor that 'Jesus cant help you tonight ' I wasn't sure what happened in the end but I NEVER forgot it was when I told my aunt who was muslim she told me what I saw most likely and what happened to that lady... it was shortly after I started to be more curious about Islam

I Saw a person sitting next to me and constantly giving me compliments and smiling and in a flash of a second a sort of skin like extra eyelit covered his eyes and uncovered and i looked into two Total black eyes without any pupils and the skin come back and disappeared and the eyes were normal again and his smile got bigger and had a creepy look. This was in the middle of a crowded store.... Later, the last months a few people around me, rwmarkably also two half islamic/half Christian raised persons. Who are living in the same room. Not at once but when the first left, the second one came and i also See a kind of wind in front of his eyes and than Both of Them change their talk and attidute against me(o my, why me...???), the first one really got voilent to me and the next one feels like hè is keeping my attention with arabic text which i dont understand but i know enough by reading and listening to my Neighbour Mohammed that hè was not right and that something was wrong.
Mohammed corrected him and when we walked outside hè said, those berber people, what de they.know, they are still living in cages. I told Mohammed and hè is a very very wise man who never wants to interfere and hè warned me that this man is no good, keep your distance. Both of these half moslim persons also have a strange habbit of wanting to sit in the campfire smoke....
Also some other White persons act strange every now and than. A Christian man, hè amazed me, said that it Will probably be one who is trying to crack the codes of the people in his surroundings so hè van go human hopping...
What do these jinns OR jinn want from me... This is already atleast the 6 Th time that i see something like this and they dont like me that obvious....
O yes my direct Neighbour with the Brain of a 10 yr old, at once made a very creepy Whoehahaha laugh and asked me if I wanted to take a very Sharp knife and hè would also so we Both could cut off eachother heads... I am living in a Mental health care, leave the care, they try and do their best but it doesn't work. I am already looking for a new home to move asap...
Like this wise man says is constantly happening, i get distracted and my energy gets drained by Them...as it seems...

[Imam Shihab ad-Din Ibn Hajar al-Haytami (d.974AH) he was a well-known Shafi’i scholar and used to be the student of the famous scholar Zakariyya al-Ansari.

    As Salamu 'Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah.
May Allah Bless you Shaykh. Many years ago I watched a documentary on waves and radiation and then came to a personal conclusion that jinns might be made from infra red radiation. This was because some species of beetle could see infra red and using a certain camera they showed infra red, which extends beyond the visible light spectrum as well as smoke; in other words the beetles could see the infra red spectrum of the fire in an area where smoke has not yet reached, hence 'smokeless fire'. Furthermore, I felt that many of the characteristics of the jinn were shared by infra red. For example infra red cannot penetrate opaque surfaces; I believe the same applies to jinns, hence why the Prophet (SAW) advised us to lock our doors after Maghrib. Also, infra red gives off heat and being a wave means can change it's shape.
The narration of Ibn Abbas about tips of fire lends weight to my theory since infra sits above the visible spectrum. If we refract light we can see the colour red on the outside of the visible spectrum and violet on the inner end of it, thus infra red would sit on the tip of a flame, whilst ultraviolet would be at the bottom of it. Those animals that see infra red would be able to see infra at the tip of the fire without the smoke since infra red goes further than the smoke.
I understand you have a science background Shaykh so what do you think of this analysis of mine? I'm really just thinking outside of the box because I have a curious mind.

My Fiancé's uncle came across a stray cat inside his home after making wudu, and started whistling to it to try to scare it out, then it began to speak and said "stop whistling at me like some animal, I'l leave when you leave"

Ya, imagine a cat insulted at the though of being considered an animal...
The civilized thing would have been to offer it a brandy and a cigar.

Is there a lecture about 26:44? Souls of the dead coming back to the sleeping man. I'm curious about this.

+Niaz Ahamed no this is Hindus and pagans belief ....souls did not come back if it was the case then every innocent person would have come back to take his revenge...and believe me the USA and Co would have filled with these innocent souls they killed in Afghanistan , iraq and syria, Vietnam, africa , japan etc.........
