I was born in the United States and I converted to Islam in 1974 but my children and grandchildren were all born and brought up as Muslims, however, I have the same fear for them that Umar Ibn Al Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) had. Umar said, "I am afraid, he who has been brought up in Islam and has no knowledge of jahiliyyah [un-Islamic culture and philosophy], may become an instrument disintegrating Islam unknowingly."

I too fear daily, not only about the society and how kids are being raised in Muslim household but as well my own. Less all do our best and make lots of Duaa for future generations,
Brothers and Sisters of Islam. Dr. Yasir is very knowledgeable. He tried very hard to convey the Right messages to us all. We should all be grateful to have him explain the benefits of being a good Muslim. Helping others in need is more than a test from the Almighty. We will all be tested by Almighty Allah.
The problem is it gets difficult whether to praise shaykh's knowledge or his language and eloquence.. his style of delivering lectures or the mind-blowing ahadiths and quotations..

May Allah reward you. I think this is an important topic but on the flip side it’s difficult to find support like mentors for our sons who are taking care of by single mothers, it’s even difficult to find a ride to the masjid during Ramadan because the Communities don’t offer help or assistance. For example: Does anyone need help?, There are kids who need academic tutoring but where are the Muslim volunteers?Theres always campaigns for asking, but where are the campaigns for giving assistance to families in need. It’s not necessarily about money but time and services needed in one’s own communities. We need to do more to help our own communities.
God bless you for this message - many of us have no one to rely on, and some turn to sin in their hopelessness and lack of support - abortion, welfare and feminism have gone some way in diminishing the two parent household in the West - and many of our youth suffer under single parent homes that are far from equipped to prepare our children for the trials and tribulations of this most tumultuous life..

S4-12- But if there are more then two , they share a third.after debt and bequest was made by debt.as long as no detriment (caused/an Ordinance from Allah, and Allah is Knowing and Forbearing.
S-4-. And as for them /the wives is one fourth if you leave no child .
In Turkey we have great example. They lost khilafa around 100 years ago and distanced themselves from Islam a bit and within 50 years all Islam evaporated and now we meet Turkish Muslims in Germany and fail to identify them as they don't look or do anything even distantly related to Islam. May Allah protect each one of us.
30-35 years ago the argument was if it's mandatory to wear skull cap while offering namaz now in USA we are struggling to convince teenagers to wear proper clothes and don't turn up for namaz wearing shorts or Bermuda. If Muslims continue to take pride in criticizing their scholars then be ready to meet same fate as that of Turkey where having 700 years of ottoman rule could not retain Islam for more than 50 years imagine what will happen in western countries.
What I don’t understand is why do Muslims build extravagant mosques? Why can’t Muslim community build simple self.sustainable mosques built with recyclable materials and grow food for the communities and solar panels.

That 19-35 age range sheikh… are working 9-5 and raising families in the rat race. May Allah safeguard us. Especially brothers are working but sisters have children and it can be difficult to drive to lectures or general masjid environment. I hope we can have supportive environment in masjids

I dont think the baton is being handed down to the youth. The elders are very reluctant to pass on that knowledge. The youth therefore find it more rewarding and satisfying to work on their careers rather than religon .
