As the title says, I'd really love to hear a duet between Diana Ankudinova and Rag'n'Bone Man - that would be a real treat. Hope it does happen one day.
Another Diana classic off the list. As others wrote Diana said that this song is very comfortable for her because it is closer to her normal range. I love it and of course a duet with Rag'n'bone man would be very cool, people often say before their reaction to this that he has a deep voice and they are curious to find out how the song would sound from a female... well i have some news for you... This song is still a staple in her concerts. Cool reaction as always, you can not stop smiling or crying when you watch Diana, it sparks your curiosity and your feelings at the same time.
Thank you so much, Kostas, for everything! Not to worry, I don't plan to stop anytime soon, so more classics or new stuff to listen to. Also, I only smile if I'm really enjoying what I'm hearing and with Diana I am most of the time.
I adore this performance of Diana, deep voice and growl when she has to take it out. I agree with the similarity of the Amarican natives. Years ago I had a book about the Native Americans where you could see a multitude of graphics, paintings and daggertypes; they are very similar in regarding clothing. Again the ancestral sounds and yodel. I like the instruments that accompany it, everything adds up. Thanks Aleks!
Thank you Hector! When I was about 12 years old I read a book of old Native American myths, so I love hearing that sound that's been shown to us as Native American. My grandad taught me about the specific tribes too or at least what was shared at the time about them. Truth be told I forgot a lot about it, but that part of the song reminded me how I loved those stories about the sun, the moon, how corn came to be, where rivers come from, etc. Interesting how a girl from Russia singing a song by a UK artist (just found out today he is from UK) can bring back memories of learning about the original American nations...
At one time Diana Ankudinova said that this was the most comfortable song from her repertoire for her to sing (that was many years ago, so it's surely outdated information, but kind of fun)
Probably because it comes so easy to her, at least it's how it seemed. I'd really love to hear that duet though - imagine the female singer "outbassing" the male and making the song even richer instead of weird. So yes, FUN! 😉
Great reaction 🙂 Diana is a very special singer, and one of my favorites, though I prefer her work from the regional stages. This performance took place 5 days before her 16th birthday. I always enjoy your analysis; old news by now I guess 😉 Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

Just kidding! 😉 But, more serioously, perhaps one between her and Angelina Jordan? Anyway, these are three gifted young women! Thank you, again.

In this more tribal style of her singing I prefer Rechanka to this particular song I must say. Nice seeing Igor Krutoy there as he has been an immense help to her. It’s interesting watching her voice and style change through the years, almost like an Angelina Jordan evolution. Thank you as always Aleks.
Thank you! Yes, "tribal" was what I wanted to say and kept forgetting the word. 🤣 Rechenka is I think meant to be sung in that way, or at least it fits it just right. Still, I do like hearing her sing in that style. At this point I can pick out Igor Krutoy from a crowd as he's connected to Diana, Dimash and even Lara. Both his compositions and choices of performers are rather impressive. Thanks to all of you I got to discover some extremely interesting voices, including of course Angelina Jordan. So far, listening to each of them is an experience and a very enjoyable one.
Hi Aleks! This was my very first song that I heard from Diana 5 years ago. I was stunned and captivated by her voice. Unfortunately, what she does now is not even close to the level of vocals, repertoire and arrangement that were then.
I haven't heard anything more recent than Good Girl and honestly the one I liked best so far was Baikal. So far, so good, although personally I'm not delighted with Good Girl. It's nice, a bit more lively and "younger" in spirit, kind of fun, but definitely not my favorite.

Although, based on the quality of his compositions for Dimash and the fact that he knew exactly what to emphasize it's clear he's a world class composer. The privilege of working together must have been felt both by him and by Diana.
Greetings from Scotland! Hi Aleks! Yes, it has been one of my wishes for Diana to be asked by Rag'n'Bone Man to do a duet! ANY song of his would be great, but this would be amazing! Here, Diana gets a chance to do her now famous "Shamanistic" style, which I absolutely love! You don't hear it that often unfortunately. Out of interest, Diana has an original song where she takes it out for a test run. "At the Edge" [The D.A. album (2021)] Official Audio. It's a fabulous song and she gets all "Shamanic" nearer to the end. th-cam.com/video/8ykbbjeOtGg/w-d-xo.html Just a tiny "titbit" - "Rory Charles Graham" (Rag'n'Bone Man) was born in Uckfield, East Sussex, England. Some of my wife's relatives live there so I get to visit quite often. He now lives in a beautiful £1m Sussex country house just a few miles away. When I was attending a family wedding there back in July, we had the wedding and reception in an even bigger mansion just down the road! All I can say is, it's a VERY wealthy area that I wish I could afford to own a country house in! 😂However, it's not my kind of life, I prefer a lot less people and a lot more open space! 😂
Greetings to Scotland! ❤ I think it really would be epic with a capital E, especially if it was this song. Now, of course I'm adding At The Edge to the list. After Rechenka, Wicked Game and this, I am loving that style from her. I had no idea Rag'n'Bone Man was from UK, I thought he was American and actually wondered how he came up with his stage name, as it's so reminiscent of UK for me. This definitely explains it. 🤣 Funny how I heard his songs and never detected the accent at all. As for the country houses of England, I somehow always imagined there's a lot of open space around them. Guess it's always better to hear it from the "horses mouth" than google stuff, right? 😂
@@AleksReacts True, the larger houses have ground around them, sometimes a LOT of ground, but it is such a heavily populated area. Just today on the news there was a woman who complained that it took her over 5 hrs to get home, just 65 miles away! The traffic is crazy down there and the roads are in very poor condition. In the Northern Highlands I can I can drive all day and count the other vehicles on both hands, sometimes even less! The closer you get to London, the worse it gets - not my idea of freedom! As soon as you drive into the Highland region (the top third of Scotland) life gets simpler and less stressed. However if things go "wrong" - as an example, an appointment with a psychiatrist MAY have a 2 year wait if you are lucky! That just won't help those in need NOW. A double edged sword I guess? How is it there, Aleks? I know you have both remote and busy areas too.
Oh, now I see what you mean when you said "heavily populated". Yeah, like in many other things, big cities share quite a few similarities. I live in the center of the city, so getting anywhere is a drag in rush hour. Not too bad in the evenings or the weekend, though. However, even worse than that is the lack of parking spaces and that, here in the center is MUCH worse during the weekend (cafés, clubs, bars, restaurants are around my home, and they don't have their parking spaces). Basically, all of Belgrade is simply packed with more cars than people and yes, we do have decent public transportation. Still, since public transportation was a huge mess for 20-30+ years, most people who could afford it switched to cars - the roads are ok, but the city was not planned for this many people - the streets are too narrow, so now we have many one-way streets to sort of manage the traffic. As for remote areas, the ones I've been to are much more peaceful and much nicer than the capitol. Then again, the choices in the capitol are much better (jobs, selection of groceries, clothes, books, etc.). As I always do, I think something in between would be best, but there isn't really such a place (yet). It's a trade off. You either live in the bustling city and have access to everything or you choose a more peaceful area, but with fewer choices / less access to things you might like, such as international cuisine or even simple things like a really good internet connection, but local food in rural areas is much better (homemade, organic, healthy and really well prepared). I'm really starting to think countries don't differ too much - developed areas are more alike globally, while rural areas is where you can feel and enjoy the cultural differences the most.
@@AleksReacts I agree, from my travels over the years I realised that we are all, pretty much, in the same boat - regardless which country you come from. I speak of the "average" person of course because there will be more wealth in some countries and likewise more poverty in others. We all have similar dreams and hopes.
Exactly! I also think that this poverty/wealth thing is kind of the same on average if you look at percentages of the population rather than just the number of the rich people, but still...
