I believe a few more people told me she was in fact 16 when she recorded it. It really seems that a lot of people have heard the full EP and everyone has their favorite. I can't choose yet, before I hear them all and maybe I won't choose for a while, but I do want to find out. Regardless of where this song is at the moment, I will make a prediction and stand by what I said during my reaction. This song is a classic and we'll all hear it a lot more in the future.

Since it was a long one, I'll copy my reply to a similar comment. I hope you don't hold it against me. Here goes: She's definitely something else and I think she's far surpassed being a teenager. I think she's one of those people who grow up very young, what they call "an old soul". A teenager wouldn't have their grandma with them, but she's very certain as to who she is, so it seems she doesn't have those usual teenage insecurities which keep other kids from showing their grandmas off. Something I actually like about her a lot - her self-esteem. Never over the top, but always secure in her own skin.

Dear Elmar, my hopes are for everyone to be safe. Be they in California, USA, North America or any other continent. No one with a sound mind could wish harm to befall anyone. As for covid shots or any other shots, I cannot take them. I'm severely allergic to quite a few different pharmaceutical products. Long story short, doctors gave me two as a baby, both times I nearly died, so I've since been exempted from ever taking any others. Can't take various medications either. All sorts of meds tend to try to kill me. 🤣 On the plus side, I don't get sick easily. Genetics are weird, my friend. 😊 That being said, I don't judge either way. Some chose to isolate, others chose the shots... As long as we're not putting people in danger with our actions, I'm good with any plan that works. Basically, don't go about coughing all over people or help fires spread... In short, I agree with your sentiment fully! To everyone in this world I wish health, safety and happiness! ❤️❤️❤️

Nah, not scary at all. 🤣 I get the sniffles once every decade or so. Some tea and honey, a day or two in bed, good as new. The rest of the time, no matter how infested an entire city is with the flu, I just don't get sick. Here's another fun fact: I've smoked for 25+ years now and my lungs are 100% clean. Pulmonologists have often tried to convince me that I am a non-smoker when they see the scans during check-ups. Even some of my friends don't believe this, proof or no proof. Weird DNA, really... Goes well with the weird workings of my brain, right? 😉 Side note: I do not endorse enticing others to smoke. I myself started on my own, no peer pressure or anything. Also, not great for the skin... No need to delve deeper into the statement, I know well enough what you mean and I also know opinions are very polarized on that topic. We can leave it at that. 😊

Thank you, Jim! It helped that she said "Love, I really wish you had a face", that sort of had my paying harder attention to what she was saying. I admit, it's sometimes hard to understand everything she sings, something about the style of singing muffles the words a bit. So I read the lyrics quickly in advance when I can. That also helped. On a side note, my grandma's birthday was Jan. 8th, so I'm partial to people with the same star sign, meaning both you and AJ. Yes, I kind of, partly believe in the zodiac. Truth be told, the meaning did dawn on my while she was singing, as lyrics on paper are not fully expressive - they do need the support of interpretation. I don't think I've heard any other songs from her EP, but of the ones I did hear, this one is becoming my favorite. The thoughts on the meaning really do come during the song... I wasn't sure why the song sounds so familiar even though it's clear it's original. Especially since the 70's for me would be the Hair musical, Led Zeppelin or even part of the UK punk era. I must have heard a lot of the 70's music I never really HEARD, just sort of hung there in the background...

I got totally "scwed". My mom was tallish for Serbian standards at 1.7m, and my dad average with 1.83. Thank you for sharing your view. I believe you're partly correct. The one you may be thinking of, romantic love, that one is likely yet to be found. However, I think she HAS found love in many other forms and that she's in fact singing of all types of love, past, present, future, family, friends, romance, etc. Actually, when I think about it, it may be that you haven't listened to my comments (which is fine), as you're saying it's not about one person, which is what I said as well. You might find we agree on more levels than one...

@@AleksReacts I did hear your comments and I agree. I didn't really mean that a singular love was the subject, if it came across that way, or that my view really differed from yours. I don't know personal details of her life, but I was thinking it would be a normal thing for a young woman of her age to look first for romantic love. We all want that, and that is why the lyrics, as they are written, work so well. In the larger picture, I agree with you that she is writing about the love(s) we all dream of. Angelina has made it no secret that she recognizes her bond with her grandmother, as you see in the video, her sister, her family, and her music. As is true of any well-written creation, it appears to have details that are specific to each reader/listener, yet is vague enough that all can find their place in it. I enjoy your videos and look forward to more.

Oh, it seems we both misunderstood each other and we were both actually interested in each others opinion. I do understand way better what you mean now and yes, of course we all look for that romantic love - some of us are very lucky and we find it, others never do... So, in a way, love not having a face also might mean her "future romantic love" as well as an abstract love. She does give us all more than enough space to find various meanings and they might all really be there - maybe that is precisely why she allows for that space. The scenery is the St. Sava Temple, a very well known tourist spot aside from being one the largest Orthodox temples in the world (or maybe because of it). Ana does have a lovely voice indeed, but to be honest, I can't really be a good judge of how famous someone is. I don't watch television for the past 20+ years. I can tell you that I haven't noticed her on billboards around the city, which usually show up for big concerts... I can also tell you that it was really kind of her to reach out and comment on the reaction and we are to meet next week. It seems her voice matches her personality - pleasant and soothing. As for "se", it's something we have in Serbian that goes with verbs whose action is performed on ourselves e.g. Raduj se = (literally) make yourself joyful, Obuci se = put clothes on yourself, Ne ljuti se = don't make yourself angry, etc. It can be translated as "yourself", but it is part of the verb itself. Those are called "returning verbs" as the action "returns to you". The actual imperative in 2nd person singular (you) is "raduj se" from the infinitive "radovati se", "obuci se" from "obući se", "ljuti se" from "ljutiti se", etc. It changes in each person, so "radujmo se" is also imperative but for 1st person plural (we). Our spelling is incredibly simple as well as unique in the world for this trait - each sound has its letter and you read it exactly as written. Our grammar though, ouch. But I am glad that I managed to explain through examples. Stupidity box is a good term and I agree with literally everything you said about it. I didn't have it by accident when I moved once from one rental to another and 6 months later I realized I didn't miss it at all. I hadn't bought another until 2 years ago, when it was simply cheaper than a monitor, so I can watch movies/shows I choose in another room at my own apartment. Two of them actually moved in with me, very literally. They just walked into my place through the terrace doors and decided to stay. Only one I picked up as a baby with a plan to give her away, but the crazy cat (called Loki btw) when I took her out the next day because I didn't have the cat toilet yet ran around, attacked and beat a dog off and then jumped back on my shoulder to go home. She was my first and she was about 4 weeks old. Love that black maniac to this day, though she's been long gone from this planet.

I love that she's not changing her natural teeth or anything about her looks. She's just right and so recognizable from her early age onwards. I've heard a lot about Mary from so many people, but it never occurred to me to look her up and see her face. Guess I still have a lot of catching up to do. The last 4 tracks are audio only "visualizers," but all 6 songs are amazing. I think she got her lyrical poetry from her Grandma Mery who is a well known poet & painter.

@AleksReacts That's weird with the playlist order, maybe by accident? There's a selection on the normal TH-cam app/web site (i.e. NOT in TH-cam Studio) where you can choose the sort order for your own playlists and e.g. select "Most recently added". That's then the order everybody sees. IIRC it will destroy the manual order if you choose an automatic order. You will get back anytime to manual mode either by choosing it, or moving entries manually, but it will not restore the previous order by itself.

I've just taken a second look and you're right, I can do that on my channel (not in studio). It seems to have sorted them by most popular first... I really wasn't paying attention and it does make sense to go chronologically latest to earliest...

@@AleksReacts Of course, I was mentioning Alice simply because she was the same age in "Mama" as Angie is in this video, and I was pointing out that, IMO, this child deserves a reaction one of these days (I mean, rather than staying exclusively focused on Diana and Angie). It was a reference to age. I could just as easily have mentioned Song So Hee's "Tomorrow" when she was 17 too, or Putri Ariani. The idea was simply to suggest alternatives to Angie/Diana who are being replicated thousands of times ad nauseam across all reaction channels at the expense of other exceptional kids.

I understand what you mean, so I always try to combine what's most requested with something that's less asked for. I'm sure you noticed that views on my videos vary greatly, but that is no reason to completely ignore some artists - in fact, it's the opposite, provided I personally actually like them. For example, I have been asked to react to Putri Ariani, but she doesn't do anything for me. I tried, and it's just not to my taste... Now, that could only either make me fake or I'd say what I think and it wouldn't help her at all... So, the choices I make are a combination of my personal taste and requests that come in. Lots of balancing in this work and one can never please everyone, so I try to please myself first and when possible, most of the audience as well.

@@AleksReacts You raise two fundamental questions about reaction channels. The first one - that reactors should react to what they genuinely enjoy - seems to me like an absolute rule. If they don’t, their reactions are no better than advertisements, and poor ones. The second question concerns reacting to what is most requested by the audience. Here lies a significant trap. Imagine some reactor starting their channel by reacting two or three times to Katrina Velarde, for example. What will the majority of their audience request next ? Naturally, more Katrina, as well as Morissette, Gigi and Sarah... And never Dimash, and never Diana (even though these two are incredibly, incredibly popular and highly requested elsewhere). Imagine what they would miss out on by never discovering Dimash and Diana, simply because they follow what the majority of their followers, at time T, demand. Worse still, if you were to react to certain Russian artists like Shaman or Vitas, you might find that any of your Dimash-related reaction afterward gets no views at all. This could lead you to mistakenly believe that no one is interested in Dimash. Relying too heavily on the majority of requests is not only misleading but also traps you in repetitive cycles with the same artists. It’s a loop that stifles diversity and can even result in the buildup of borderline obsessive fans. Eeeek ! 😂

@@AleksReacts About Putri. I’ve been following this child since she was about twelve, and I always thought she was promising but that something was missing. When I saw her again on AGT, it’s true that she had improved, but she didn’t hold my attention beyond her performances on AGT. Indonesia still has other talents who are more striking than Putri, starting with my No.1, Isyana Sarasvati, singer-songwriter, opera diva, concert pianist, vocalist, dancer... a pure genius, far outside the box. BTW, Dominik is absolutely crazy about her... and so am I. As a sample, here’s one of her compositions sung by 13-year-old Ajeng, who was the winner of her team during a memorable The Voice : th-cam.com/video/URrOBPbMCGA/w-d-xo.html This young girl didn’t yet have complete control over her voice (at 13) and made a few mistakes, but even then, I preferred her to Putri. Much more inspired !

@@rlew49ers Btw, many of us have long suspected - but it was recently confirmed - that Angelina and her little sister Juliette (14 years old) both speak Farsi fluently (as well as Norwegian and English). Mery was born in Iran and is most comfortable speaking Farsi. Angelina and particularly Juliette often help Mery by acting as her interpreter (sometimes reluctantly 😄). Mery’s husband (AJ’s beloved grandfather) was Japanese and due to Sara and Michael (AJ’s Mom and Uncle) growing up in Japan, the two of them are fluent in Japanese as well.

That is such a cool environment to grow up in. The best time to learn languages is when you're a child and I guess they were lucky to have that opportunity first hand. 😊
