Nerf Fortnite 6-SH Revolver Ultimate Mod Guide?!

- In this video, we talk about removing the barrel to make the blaster N-Strike compatible, upgrading to a new spring and how to do that, removing the AR (air restrictor), removing the dart posts and doing some shell cutting to make this blaster short dart compatible. I talk about this project and the firing test and chronograph performance results up front, so if you are casually interested you can just watch that. For the more adventurous, the entire guide is after that. I left in a few mistakes I made, just in case you make them too! Or, so you can hopefully avoid them. The king of hammershots, Tripp Miller of Radioactive Designs, might be able to give you some pointers. I believe he's said that removing the AR can be a mixed bag, because the plunger tube "floats" to take pressure off the rotating cylinder. Without the AR, air can escape before the plunger tube gets pushed back against the cylinder to make a good seal. You may benefit from beefing up the cylinder seal with mega dart foam. Good mod guide!
This is good info. Springers in general are not my strongest point and maybe. I should also revisit this to see if I can get a better seal. I know there is potentially way more power here to be had looking back at this in the past as now me haha.

Im liking those mods, it looks really good!
Threw everything but the kitchen sink at it haha. Performance is a bit under what I had hoped, but it is improved and a child can still operate it, which around here is nice ha.

Your muzzle is so nice i wish it was made like that in the first place. I found a guy who made 3d short muzzle kit and drum but its more expensive than the stock gun loool
Ah, this is where printing is nice. Someone made that n-strike lug and then I used an old retaliator part and lots of glue to change the barrel over :)
hey been new to the nerf stuff and wanted to know where to get springs that are the right size?
As a friendly update to abyone trying this mod, if you line up the shell cutting justbright, you actually keep the retaining post holding down the part the L shaped printed piece is doing. A dan of super glue in the cylinder retention pin housing and you dont need the L piece at all. Furthurmore for these without printers, a scrap puece of nerf barrel material should work for the curved part. Happy modding and shout out to Maritime Foam for such an in depth detailed guide. I cut that piece out before I actually saw it done by anyone else to load short darts from the back I just left it open and it works great! Haven't removed the AR yet but I want a little more performance so I think I might. Btw I got that new adventure force(buzz bee) 6 shooter that's out now that looks like the reflex 6 and removed the AR that thing shoots almost 90fps now most performance I've ever gotten from removing an AR it went from 70-75 to 85-90 kinda crazy!

My son took his apart to take the barrel off the and in the process the rest feel apart, do you have a reassembly video? I obviously know nothing about nerf guns or how guns work..

I actually figured it out by continually pausing your videos. Is there a place in general where there are detailed Nerf gun schematics in case I need to fix or rebuild something? Who is or how do I contact Captain Xavier as you suggested?

can you mod the ecs 10? removing the carry handle?
That’s actually one I don’t have! I’ve seen a couple come up, but seemed expensive - but still looking!
can the rear-loading port be put on the right side?
As I recall all the mechanisms are on the other side of the shell so no, it unfortunately doesn’t have the shell room to be set up easily for a lefty… unless I’m wrong :) going off memory here

You should be able to see from the internals! Go slow! Check out photos of the internals as well online!

Hey how to fix Fortnite 6-sh cylinder? Mine doesn't spin anymore when I prime it :(
Have a look carefully at the reassembly, there is an arm that fits into some gears to turn it: also there is a very specific groove the cylinder fits into.

Out of darts. Pretty sure I say in the video somewhere which one it was. The same one as the hammershot. A 5KG

What does a air restrict do?
Keeps the plunger head from slamming when there is no dart loaded. Which can lead to cracked pieces. Air restrictor is a spring loaded piece that slowly lets the air out when it’s fired empty, cushioning the impact.
