Education as a Help to Life - Maria Montessori

In the aftermath of the atrocities of WWII, Maria Montessori gave a speech.
With the current state of the world, especially with the recent horrific attack on Israel - really on all civilized human beings - her talk is well worth hearing.
"... the monster does not come to life all of a sudden. It is not created in one moment, in one hour, in one week, even in one year."

I am a parent of a 1-year-old, and a student of Montessori's teachings for the past 4 years. As I look around at our current society, I've seen a huge uptick in the popularity of Montessori education, but I fear what is lacking is actually learning the heart of her pedagogy. Thank you for bringing her words to light and making them more accessable to folks. It is my hope that we can make her dream of peace a reality through thoughtful education.
