I realized that trial 24 I couldn't complete because I was dashing to close the gap between me and Dan. The closest possible distance is only obtainable by walking into him (I know it's torture when playing as Makoto) but I was finally able to get it.
Just started playing this game again and decided to try out Makoto's trials, and got stuck on this trial for 2 and half hours... Read this and did it first try after. I had not damn clue why I was whiffing the ultra lol. That a lot dude!
YES! With Makoto's Trial 24, I have got 100% on every trial, and got my Trial Athlete and Iconoclast trophies. Thank you VesperArcade, and thank you people on TH-cam :)
trial 24 is pretty fun. i'm using pad and here's what i do: after HP, i do Hayate but i use both HP+HK (the move automatically cancels), then i crouch LP, Hayate while doing Tanden Renki right away, as soon as the animation ends, i do the Ultra. the game gives you plenty of time after the animation for the ultra. hope that helps
@tevinmason1 For anyone else having trouble with 19 (I imagine this guy has done it by now) the way I figured it out was to wait longer before the crouching kick. Think of cP, cP as one section, and cK -> Hayate as another. If you do the combo as one, the hayate won't come out so leave a pause in the middle.
@xLuckyx7777x and for those trying in the Dual Shock 3: set "Personal Action" to R1 and use it for the dash cancel ... hold it and dont even bother to release, continue the combo using the LP. Made things a lot easier for me.
@BigTiggaR Yup, I've been trying to learn the stick since about last August. You probably already discovered this, but you don't technically have to hold punch then cancel w/kick. You can "trick" the engine by strumming your index over lp then your thumb over lk to do an instantaneous hayate cancel and make it feel like one button press. That helped me immensely.
@BlueBlaze93 The Dpad is easier for me but I grew up using one for all my fighters. Makotos second ultra can be targeted by holding of the 3 kick buttons after initiating the triple kick. Low kick is short, Medium kick is medium :D, and fierce kick is full screen.
For n°24, if you keep missing the ultra, try doing the combo out of the corner, also remember to walk closer to dan before starting instead of just dashing to him (dashing puts you a little farther away). You don't need to mash anything, just time everything properly and it will work. For Hayate cancel, I personally used mp Hayate and lk to cancel, also double tapping the link to cr.lp helps too.

Benjamin Vazquez Np, glad it helped. Viper and Fuerte remaining I guess ? Or maybe Guile, those are the hardest. I got a few tips here and there for some of them, feel free to ask if you're stuck again.
Benjamin Vazquez Oh c'mon man, you passed Viper and Fuerte, Sakura and Abel should be easy for you :D Abel 24 is just 2 parts repeated over, the links aren't that bad, the forward kick could be tricky, think of it as a FADC, press forward+mk and forward again. For Sakura 23, the FADC is a pain, you need to FADC the EX shouoken after 4 or 5 hits, so work on that part + linking the mk, then add it to the rest and you'll be good. As usual Plinking and/or double tapping help for the links, but you can do without.
@ESPuser2560 it had me fooled for a bit too. Hold the two buttons (med punch & kick) to start the focus atk and then dash (forward or backward) while still holding the buttons like you are gonna let it get to level 3. The game will pull you out of the focus atk and let you dash. I couldn't get 15 for the life of me till I watched his hands. Make sure you know what side you will end up on, I had to switch my 2nd [L] Fukiage direction because I dashed to his right side but started on his left

I managed to get the timing down a lot better for cancelling s.HP into super so it was a blast from then on. The final trial was a lil trickey due to sometimes being a tad bit too far away from dan when her ultra 1 comes out, but i realised all i needed to do was BELIEVE that it'll hit... and it did :)
@iminthenet2 For Combos Like This One There Is A Space You Have To Find. The Space This One Is After Doing The Light Punchs Fast Stop For Just A Bit And Do The Light Kick And The Move. Long Link Combos Into Moves Have Spaces. The Space Thing Has Worked For Me. If You Need Anymore More Help Man Feel Free To Ask.

24 is one bad mother...I took me no less than 20 minutes of constant practice and attempts to pull it off. Although part of that time I didn't realize you could just mash out the super to ultra link. Literally - you can just pound away on the stick and buttons and it will come out perfectly.
For trial 21 after the focus attack just back dash and do the ultra. Then I just hold the analog stick up while the animations happening then just do the rest. Lol Im realy bad at explaining things.
For 24, map out a button to taunt (HP+HK) This helps with the Hayate cancel EXTREMELY! It should cancel everytime. So basically you should be doing..... s.HP x QCF (Taunt) > c.lp X lp Hayate x Super x Ultra.
@biffen500 Actually, building up a super meter shouldn't be too difficult and once you have it it's practically a guaranteed round. Out of her EX moves the only one that I would use much would be the EX Hayate out of Fukiage. EX Fukiage is good and very useful for jump ins but I feel like it's best use will be if they try to cross up and you wake up Fukiage. Plus you can always switch up saving and not saving, which with her can be a dramatic difference in fighting.
@Chowdizzle From the way you talk, Im guessing you havent played it yet. EX Hayate is good for juggeling and for knockdown. I use it every time I can hit it. Its an opportunity to knock down and start the mixups. EX Oroshi is godlike. Not only is it lightning fast, and the only overhead you can combo into (awesome for opening up people). It also has some invul frames, which makes it a decent antiair and reversal. The Super into Ultra combo is just for flash and doesnt do much more dmg than U2
@pjthekilla think of it like this. you tyr to remember where hard punch is on a pad with 4 sholder buttons. then your timing gets messed up abit. a stick has all buttons on one surface. so its easier. i use to suck at sf and now im a lot better than what i once was.
I finally just finished Trial 24 after about an hour of trying. I would hit everything except for the Ultra and couldn't possibly figure out what I was doing wrong. I though my timing was off so I just kept trying. I was using l.p for the Super, and this was what I was doing wrong. The moment I used h.p it connected. After an hour...
@Wack0Br0 it's your timing..if the lp doesn't come out your going to fast if it comes out and gets blocked, to slow. you have to find out the timing yourself but i can say you have to be fast

I loved those voices, specially Sagat's, Ryu's, Akuma and Ken. Now they sound all shitty in english and japanese. so i was dissapointed. it would of been cool if their was an alternate version of ken in ssf4 donning his ponytail. :/ and certain moves like his overhead SRK command kick.
Any tips on how to handle the jostick at 19. I'm watching your movements and it seems you are doing a FQC at the same time as the c.lk input. It's confusing me, I don't know what's going on! I can do it like, 1/30 times lol, I want to be able to do this 10/10times. I'm holding down back, c.lp c.lp c.lk .QCF lp. It hardly ever works though,

Stuck on 22... I just cant seem to get the timing right on canceling the s.Hp into Super... and then when i finally do, i get so excited and giddy that I flop the timing on super to ultra, which is like the easiest thing for me >_> Any tips for the timing of s.Hp to super? I dunno about you guys, but canceling s.Hp seems alot more strict than doing it from her other normals :/
16 & 20 are much easier in the corner after a focus attack. Do the focus attack so that Dan flies away from you, it makes it easier to connect the fukiage.
@pjthekilla don't buy a stick to do trials...i got used to a stick during 3rd strike so it is a lot easier for me to do most of the stuff..try using the d-pad and not the analog on your xbox/ps3 controller and see if that helps
I can't keep up with your hands on the last trail (which I'm trying to complete). My hand slips with my Tekken 6 arcade stick as I try to chain the croucing weak puch, Hayate into the Super nthen Ultra combo.

Advice on challenge 24 for you peoples. Aftger the standing HP cancel the attack into her light punch hayate like normal but hit light kick right after as if you were playing dragonforce on guitar hero. Then you can just spam that crouching low punch into the rest of that easy craziness.

To connect the ultra on trial 24 Makoto must be very close to Dan, look at 2:04, her left leg is foward Dan's right leg. Took me ages to realize that.

True, but it won't be often that you get a super, you'll probably need the ex for EX moves.

I've done up to 23, but doing 24 on a controller seems nearly impossible. That Hayate cancel's hard to link into the c.LP.

24 is really a pain in the ass...i only tried it like 10-15 times but i was already frustrated, i hate shit like this, im kinda still learning the stick (perfect it) but it seems my fingers just can't do stuff like hayate (hold) cancel with kick and then light punch etc. fast enough
but i will make it tomorow it's just the frustration i know i can do this shit :D
