Sadly, I have to agree with you. Ryu has essentially become the new "experienced ansatsuken master" type of character by SF6, and I can't think of any way to attach Gouken's gameplay onto anyone else (the most obvious candidate would be Ryu, but there's no way they're changing him up in such a drastic way). At least Oni could come back given Rose's cryptic remark that the what-if Oni of SFIV appeared "too soon", which implies that Akuma will eventually transition into Oni, perhaps as a replacement for his Shin form to keep his old playstyle around.

I knew that win over Mago would end the video. You fit almost all my favorite Bullcat moments in one video, and a bunch I've never seen before. Nice. I didn't even know the combo at 4:37 was *possible*.
In street fighter alpha the animation there is a slightly clue that indicates that Akuma is actualy Ryu's father
Simply amazing. Watching these makes me just that I must play like a 5 year old mashing buttons randomly.
I have much respect for Bullcat. I'm not a player of Gouken,but i like this character.

It's all really confusing. Evil Ryu in this game has a hole in his chest because Akuma actually impales him in one of the mangas, but that never happens in the animation films or the show for that matter. It's almost as hard to fully understand as Metal Gear Solid.
They don't need to nerf Gouken, they need to nerf Bullcat. To godlike.
That last ultra is just too damn godlike.

the hole in ryu's chest is actually explained in the game asuras wrath. In that game's dlc ryu fights asura, and ryu gets shoryuken punched to the moon, then turns into evil ryu, its not a hole its an indetation.

It was a forward command dash but gouken pushed her backwards making it look like a back dash with a forward animation...
Yeah, I know. I didn't have enough characters to explain everything. Anyways what you say is right, Dan wanted revenge on Sagat for killing his father, Gou Hibiki. Gou is the one who cost Sagat an eye.
You know, there's a lot the story in Street Fighter, and I wish they made a new animated movie in which the mysteries of the series were explained.
I wasn't paying attention and when it switched matches at 4:45, then I was thinking to myself "hey... that Guile doesn't look right" lmao

That's right. As for the reason why Sagat murdered Go Hibiki (Dan Hibiki's father), Go cost Sagat an eye. Hence the eyepatch.

@6ftphotographer well I play with Chun-Li and I also use the kikoken to zone control but there are a lot of annoying spammers too...

Dan wanted to avenge the death of his father, Gou Hibiki. Sagat is the one who killed him, but only because Gou cost him an eye (hence the eyepatch).
When Gouken found out about Dan's intentions, he refused to train him any longer.
@LuckyTheSquirrel Yeah, he's pretty damn good. The way that he beat Ken (with very low health, no less) was ballsy.
Whow, didn't know you could ex.palm into h.shot into ultra. That's something even I could try. I really like his command throw too, particularly because it's back + throw.

How did Bullcat pull off the jab counter at 4:05? it's supposed to be a fierce counter because ken's jump in kick is an overhead but his inputs show that he pressed light punch to do the counter and not heavy punch.
It's actually implied that Akuma may be Ryu's father.

@APERCUPETO No, it's not. If a character is given a projectile, the creators intended you use it. It's a zoning tool, not to mention builds meter. If you think this is excessive fireballs, you must've never seen Daigo's Ryu days.

@raff2112 It's not the fastest projectile in the game and can be focus attacked so long as it wasn't charged up.

Bullcat is japonese? I've never seem him participate of any SSF4 championship. I mean, hes the best Gouken I've ever seem by a large, even tho I truly disbelieve that he would stand a chance against top dogs in a champ. But It would be hella entertaining.

Akuma is Ryu's father. Akuma and Gouken are brothers, and Gouken is Ryu's uncle. Dan never finished because Gouken discovered his real intent of learning of hte satsui was to avenge his father, so he was kicked out. Not wanting to give up, Dan started his own dojo, where he trained blanka ans sakura, who follows ryu wherever he goes.
So where are their mothers? Were their fathers pregnant? 😊
He already got his revenge, Sagat threw the match because he knew that defeating Dan would only lead to even more conflicts.
Dan thought he won so he started his own dojo to honor his dad,

Yeah that's right. I don't think he was afraid that Dan would become too powerful, but actually it's just that he found out about Dan's desire to avenge his father's death so...
You know Gouken. He's always peaceful about everything, of course he wouldn't want to keep training Dan. Oh well... With or without Gouken's training, Dan will have his revenge, one day. Keep your eye open, Sagat >:)

@Smiley100000 I agree, man. I would be too if I were within one hit to knock out my opponent, only to have them knock me out with a baited-in Ultra Combo in mid-air. Did you see the amount of health that they both had? That was a nail biter, to say the least.

You can get his combos bro. If you can do the moves you can do the combo's. It's all about timing. I had to learn how to slow down and that's when I started doing combos on a consistant bases.

3:40 if he had done fadc ultra instead of super i think i wouldve crapped my pants due to the awesomeness forced through my eyes.
Ken and Ryu aren't related.
Shenlong (or Gouken) is Akuma's brother. They pretty much balance each other, Akuma being the evil side and Gouken the good one. He trained Ryu and Ken and teached them everything they know (except for Ryu's Satsui no Hadou abilities, similar to Akuma's.) He is Ryu's adoptive father, so Akuma would be Ryu's uncle, I guess.
Gouken trained Dan for a while, but his training was never finished, so Dan had to resort to the "Saikyo" fighting style.
