    The most scientific of all the RAM PUMP videos I have seen, period! Hats off to you Bohumir! the piano background music is also a big bonus. Many thanks for sharing your homemade ram pump, especially the custom made waste valve.

    Watched another channel they built a big one heavy duty with 2 pump valves one big pressure tube like you building their own valves. It is easy to close on off just tighten the top nut until closed. These are such a great invention. So easy to make I am impressed.

    Excellent design & Video. Good data provided was very helpful in evaluating it, and so clear I can build one from the pictures (but the PDFs would be welcome). I would have to say this is the best I've seen on You Tube. Highest demonstrated efficiency of any I have seen so far and easily scalable. Even better than any of the build kits I've seen advertised.

    Great job, you are getting a substantial amount of water. If you build another one, use steel pipe for the last 6 to 12 meters. I also notice that requires some pressure for yhe delivery line, just for people that is pumping a few meters high shouls put a valve to restrict flow and increase pressure. I have seen old pumps that the shut valve you built, on the bottom was sbape to induce a very small rotation, almost imperceptible, si it wears evenly all around and always seals. Love your improvisation, that helps people.

    Fantastic! Hard to believe that the plastic bottle withstands the pressure and cycling. At least they are very inexpensive to replace! Good to have a visual indicator of air cushion.

    • @hiteck007
      @hiteck007 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes it is a good idea (to be able to see) because eventually they do fill up with water all together and Stop so the Old commercial ones have a thing called a SNIFLER VALVE which introduces a small amount of air each cycle which keeps them going indefinitely unless some rubbish gets stuck in one of the valves. I looked in these things quite a bit years ago & decided to not use one, I've dragged a pipe up stream a couple of hundred meters and well, I have 100 Psi head now so I don't need one but in this situation it is perfect, old mate here only needs a tank stand so he can have gravity feed pressure to his house. That's the way we Ausies do it anyway.

    • @johnwyman6126
      @johnwyman6126 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hiteck007 instead of a snifter valve, you can drill a tiny quarter millimeter or 1/32" hole just under the one-way valve. The smaller the better, there's so much resistance to flow you don't lose much pressure, but you get a tiny bubble of air sucked in every cycle.

    Very lucky with that pressure your pressure tank did not explode. I have 7 meters of vertical head, before I'm using a double 1" waste valve to my ram pump but lately I'm single out the latter, but the problem is the cycle is too quick and the delivery of water is less. I put more weight to reduce the cycle to less than 60 a minute but when priming the delivery valve Is close the pressure tank (bladder) the tested maximum pressure of 15 bar is deform and nearly explode. It means when putting additional weight on the waste valve is more pressure and height the pump can deliver.

    Idea, put a shutoff valve between your pressure guage so that it is not constantly taking that pressure hit. Saves the life of the pressure guage.

    If the drive pipe has to be a minimum length of 6x the downfall, you`d need 120ft drive pipe for 20ft head..seems excessive :) With a 1" drive pipe the 120ft (1440 inch) length would exceed the maximum 1000 x pipe diameter. You`d be forced to use a standpipe :)

    Possible to reuse waste water for recycling?

    • @BohumirStehlik
      @BohumirStehlik  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Recycling? No, you would need to use energy to deliver the water back to the delivery pipe...

      @BohumirStehlik thanks for answering, one more question, why to use both sides pipe line very long, ?,

    • @BohumirStehlik
      @BohumirStehlik  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MuhammadSaeed-qn1cfWhat do you mean by "side pipes"? The intake pipe is "tuned". It needs to have enough downfall. My stream is not so steep so that's why it needs to be so long. The delivery pipe is so long because of the delivery distance.

    did you say the elevation difference from pump to tank at top of property is 70 meters? if so, how wide is your tube entering the pump? thanks

    • @BohumirStehlik
      @BohumirStehlik  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      70 meters? The difference is around 15 to 17 m.

    I think that 4.2bar gives you 32m not 42. You have to substract one bar for the atmospheric pressure.

    • @BohumirStehlik
      @BohumirStehlik  ปีที่แล้ว

      1 bar = 10m. 0,1bar is the atmosferic pressure.

      @@BohumirStehlik en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmospheric_pressure
      atmospheric pressure is 1013.25millibar. Hence approx 1 bar according to wikipedia.
      I quite like your setup by the way. Very interesting.

    Soo you are down in the ramparts... :-) Btw. Even though we all understand I don't think the word "downfall" can be used in this context. Not to have a go at your english:-) Your piano playing is tight man!

      @@BohumirStehlik Yeah head is definitely good, maybe fall or descent? English is not my number one either. But downfall is what happens at every gangster/mafia movie ending or heavy rain;)
