I like that the orthodox Christians add a description to their saints, the leper, the confessor, the recluse, the Syrian, it somehow makes it sound better. And they talk about some real deep stuff while being humble.

    "... Everybody's on the spectrum, it's a great town!"
I laughed about as hard as Jonathan did at that.

I wanted to hear Jonathan's answer on a lot of the questions too but sadly he didn't say anything. I suppose his answer would be that the answer given by others suffices.

If we hold that the Bible is the Word of God,..then when It tells us No mate could be found for Adam and Adam had to be put to sleep for the Human race to exist.. means no woman was on the earth when Adam was. I don't see how a Christian can support Evolution given this text alone.

That book is almost impossible to get hold of. There are three for sale online, one is a battered old library copy for £750, one is a used copy for over £1000 and one is in good condition for over £4000. Crazy. I'd love to get hold of a copy one day. Perhaps there'll be another printing at some point. I think there might be a PDF online though.

We see all sects who broke off from the Roman Catholic Church as crypto-papists. In other words, all Protestants and early proto-Protestant groups like the Waldensians, we consider to be heretical.

Technically all christians outside the church are heretics, but that does not mean the church considers them as "evil", or as "enemies" like the Roman Catholic Popes of the Middle Ages did. Orthodoxy encourages discourse and cooperation between all christians in the hope that they all realize the truth it represents and join it. We are not in communion with them, as we believe they have strayed, but we do not discourage communication and cooperation.
