- Looking for a farm stay near Brisbane? Watch this! We found a gorgeous spot called Fig Tree Farm, only 30 minutes from Brisbane CBD. With gorgeous animals, great accommodations and plenty to see, do and EAT in the area, we kept pretty busy during our stay. Here's a look at what we got up to and, hopefully, some inspiration for you to get out and reconnect with a wholesome weekend of your own. My husband and I and my daughter, son in law and our two grandchildren stayed at Fig Tree Farm last week. Lydia, we unanimously rate your hospitality and the home and farm an unreserved 10/10. You and Mike have considered everything guests would need to make their stay comfortable. I loved the peace and tranquility of the place and the opportunity to get away from the busy city life. The photos of the property on the website and the video are amazing and represent exactly what you see when you get there. We loved watching you caring for the animals and the opportunity to fetch our eggs from the chicken pen each day and feed the ducks and guinea pigs. My grandchildren 5 and 2 years old loved the experience and were fearless amongst the sheep and the goats and the cows. Thank you for your hospitality and for taking care of us always making sure we had everything we needed. Loved our chats too. I recommend your property to anyone. We will be back. Wow, thank you! haha YESS it's like you were in our house listening to us talk cos that's EXACTLY what we were saying. It's good for the soul. It's not a place you go to for your ego, you know. It's not about an Instagram shot or saying you were somewhere to show off... it's about having a wholesome time where you focus on the animals and how beautiful the world around you is. Hiya 👋! I definitely need a getaway to a farm someday. It’s great to be offline and only connect with the animals. That’s basically why I loved Tassie so much 🫶. Tasmania has so much nature and so much places with just no cellular connection, which is great. Gluten-free and vegan food is great! And your accommodation looks amazing. I often wondered why some peoples filled with annoyance at the sounds of dogs or roosters or the cockatoos, to me they sound great and familiar like the part of the world we live in.
