    Just picked up a set of the Milwaukee 15 piece ratcheting metric wrenches for 79 bucks. Thanks to your most recent video. Keep up the good work

    I just scored both the Milwaukee SAE and Metric 15 pc sets at JDTco for $220, that's right $220 FOR BOTH. I've been dying for these sets ever since my wife left the garage door open and my Westward 32 piece (non ratcheting) set got stolen. I LOVED those wrenches, part because they were super good wrenches and part because I got them as part of my scholarship I worked hard to get. I mentioned this deal to the wife and she jumped at the chance for me to get them so I would shut up about my wrenches, lol. Until now I've had the Kobalt 30 pc. (Non ratcheting) set as the stand in that I got during their father's day sale for $19.99.

      Do you notice any slop with the box end that negates the benefit of the additional positions? Thanks!

    You made so many good points on lots of important deciding factors. Those big sizes start to get very expensive. I love Wiha but those Milwaukee wrenches look great. Love the ink and easy to see sizes. When you're on your back and have less than ideal lighting conditions, you want to grab the right size the first time.

    Is the SAE & Metric 30Pc set that your link is going to supposed to be $249 or $279? I can't seem to find the $249 price anywhere. Can you fix the link? or Clarify? Thanks Boss!

    I bought the combo and ratcheting set in metric both on sale of course. The teeth in the box end hinder more than they help. You have to be very careful not to round anything that you put that open end on.

    Still, my biggest beef is that the Milwaukee’s aren’t reversible. Also that they didn’t go to 24mm

  • @Fee.1
    @Fee.1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    What you think about that finish? I seriously think at times my Milwaukee’s look like they have some black in the chrome formula....they almost look like black chrome sets in some lights. I agree, it’s a beautiful set, I just can’t justify them I think most pros would benefit more from reversible ratcheting wrenches or even the flex ratcheting wrenches. Or the length of the Carlisle XL etc. I would like my Milwaukee set more if the smaller sizes were still longer, I like my Carlisle xl’s because it’s easy to get around an engine bay to get at 8-11mm nuts. Compared to the wiha though I agree assuming the strength is equal the Milwaukee has a few perks over the wiha

      Did you ever find them? Ithas been a few years now. But you will have to do with an industrial brand to find something like that. Or you could get some Harbor Freight garbage which is honestly over-priced these days and literally copies of some of the cheaper stuff on Amazon.

    Real quick Tool Boss, I'm a German tool finatic. So no offence but you are making the same mistake everyone makes and I use to make, until my mother-in-law from Dusseldorf German had to correct me on. W's in German are pronouced as V's. so Wiha and Wera would be Viha and Vera. Granted Wiha with a W is funner to say.
    Also Milwaukee does make some great hand tools, I have the 1/4 and 3/8s socket sets.

      Same goes for a lot of other German company names. Example, knipex. Here we assume the k is silent And the rules with the i is different too. We pronounce it “nip-x”, when over there it’s ka-knee-pex. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      FOR ME it’s not worth it. I work at my family’s scrapyard and tools go missing left and right plus I can warranty my tools easier than Milwaukee tools. HDs in my area don’t do swaps in store. You have to mail your tools in to have them warranty. I prefer to walk in with my Husky, Duralast, Craftsman, Masterforce, or even take a pic for my Tektons. Either way man sorry for offending you 👍 I respect people’s opinions especially tool enthusiasts!
