I purchased both the sae and metric sets because your site finally sold me. They arrived and I am absolutely floored by the craftsmanship and quality. I am now going to order the Milwaukee sae and metric basic wrench set also!
Nice wrenches. Two things keeping me from buying them right now. 1) Price. $300 per set is pricey. I would be much more compelled if they were $200 each. 2) I would prefer a set that had 6 point sockets over 12 point. Every time I've had a bolt or nut round off.....it was with a 12 point socket.
This is a perfect example of why Milwaukee is one of the best companies out there. The screw with a spring washer just shows that Milwaukee thinks everything through. If it does get loose over time the replaceable spring washer get you back up to like new performance. Also the price on the street is 249 or less
Flex head ratcheting combination wrenches are the best, most versatile tool. Those Milwaukee wrenches have the same 4 sided looking open end as my Capri brand. They look good
I haven’t seen this updated so just FYI, both sets are on sale for $439 at Home Depot. That price gets you both the 15pc SAE AND Metric sets so you get 30 wrenches total. They are great tools.
First off, I love this channel. If you review anything Milwaukee I’m on it like white on rice. Second, I’ve been learning a lot about cars lately. Mostly out of necessity to save money when things go wrong. I’ve done my serpentine belt, belt tensioner, starter, alternator (several times because of garbage rebuilt alt’s), brakes, rotors, oil changes, and more. I love it to the point where I’m second guessing my career choice. But anyways here’s a question I have, why own both sets of wrenches that were in your drawer? (Not asking about Metric vs SAE) why would you want flex head ratcheting wrenches AND straight ratcheting wrenches? Does the flex head have a disadvantage of some sort that makes it worth buying straight wrenches? If you could only have one set what would you own? Thanks in advance to anyone who chimes in with some knowledge.
for flex head ratchets the weakest part is for most brands the flex hinge itself, so people may use the fixed heads for higher leeway on torque. the other set in his drawer doesnt appear to be a ratchet ring at all but a solid box end.
How are you gona put the closed end on a hose pretty useless if you ask me just buy a real hydraulic fitting wrench set that are made specifically for doing hydraulic hose
Hi Tim, excellent video as always, I’m very impressed Milwaukee finally put out this tool, they will sell well and the company is outstanding with all their products and the warranty is outstanding, excellent quality video ty so much, you explained this excellent, regards, Bob,
Wish I had known they were coming out with these 2 mos. ago, I wouldn`t have bought the ratcheting wrenches. Nice review and thanks for taking the time to do it.
i still have mine from the originator of the design, GEARWRENCH, decent non fan boi price and i use several of the SAE sizes at work, on the job, sometimes daily... SFMF
For the price at $300 per set, should be in a packout box already. Just my opinion, but it’s just a little bit out of range of what I’m willing to pay. I would pay $250 per set If it was in a packout box and feel okay about that purchase. Or $450-500 for the complete set of both metric and standard in a packout system.
Random Question/ Going from these to a regular wrench that they have, would these not be as durable because of flex head/ not being a solid piece, or for the uses it has it doesn't really matter?
I just ordered a set of these and I can’t lie, I don’t feel good about dropping all that dough on some wrenches. However, they’re going to be my go-to set, and I’m hoping to get tons of work done with them.

Wow, that's surprising that Snap-On would use a split-washer. That seems like that would put uneven pressure at the joint. Maybe it doesn't matter. That's for letting us know. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews not only that but I would think it’s more prone to scratching the chrome 🤔 although, snap on has some of the most durable chrome I’ve ever seen on tools. So who knows
I lost my love for overpriced, underperforming snap on years ago. They're not what they used to be. Harbor freight quality for 150× the price makes no sense to me and I demand my tools to perform because they are my livelihood. I'm interested in these Milwaukee wrenches, but I'm going to do more research before I decide whether or not I pull the trigger. The open ends are very appealing.

Just fyi that open end ribbed head very very bad for hydraulic hoses too .they round idd the eggs and make it hard to take them out too..or soft fittings to
Only downside - 2.5° swing arc ratcheting end and they put a 12 point box end on it? That's just dumb and obviously none of their design engineers actually use a box wrench in the real world. How's about telling them to make them with a 6 point box end and tighten up the tolerance so there's less slop. As fasteners develop oxidation, they become dimensionally smaller... not everybody lives in sunny dry climates like San Diego where the bolts on vehicles look like they just rolled off the dealer's lot.
144 positions has nothing to do with the box end of the wrench. A wrench can go 144 positions regardless of type of box end. Look at SK X-Frames for example.
