Thank you Andrei 😊 yes long distance moves are not the best. When I first adopted my ladies we drove them from the UK to Italy, I actually put them in a larger dog crate so they had a bit more space.
If you are traveling by car, I don’t see why that would be necessary. I have found it helpful when I have to walk somewhere and the scenery is completely foreign though.
Thank you, I have indoor only cats, they've only lived in one house their whole life, but we're moving now and they've been so worried because the house is so empty. We have one room we are keeping about the same and we keep them in there when we're moving things from the home, they're still kind of stressed, but I'm mostly worried about when we get into the new home, thank you for the tips (:
I’m concerned about placement of litter boxes. I’m moving to a larger home with 4 mini levels from a small apartment . I’m afraid of them peeing outside of the litter box if I don’t place the litter boxes in the right spots throughout the house. I plan to set the cats up in a room right away with the 2 of litter boxes. And then set the other litter boxes out in their new places in the other levels of the house. And when they eventually wander out- should I physically place eat cat in the litter box so they know it’s there? Or do you think they will find it?
I wondered about that myself. I gave my ladies about a week in the living room only before releasing them to explore the rest of the house, and let the litter box where it was. They found it no problem. If you are worried, I’d definitely use the feliway diffuser to give them a bit more “chill” 😉
I’m moving in the next couple of months. I always put their crate out a day before any outing. I love your little white crates with the handles. Where did you get that from?
Hi Christina! Aren’t they awesome? I just love them. Absolutely safe, easy to keep clean, and with great ventilation. I got them from Zooplus here in Europe. I will add a link in the description for you to my original crate, and to a similar product for the USA/Canada 😉 good luck with your move 😊

@@MicolAndOtherAnimals thank you very much. Would you recommend covering the crate with a thin bedsheet throughout the journey?

So glad they were helpful! 😊 It’s always better when you have more than 1 kitty, so they keep each other company, but it’s still a stressful time!

@@sig9girl should be there now, in the description and in the first comment 😊 let me know if you still can’t see it!
@@MicolAndOtherAnimals it’s there, thanks! That crate isn’t the same. 😪
@@sig9girl not exactly, no. I couldn’t find a replica in North America, and even here in Europe it’s hard to find now 😣
