Your comments starting at 28:30 are spot on, and that's why I have come to really appreciate your channel. Your gear reviews are credible and entertaining since you are actually out there giving them real world tests. I'm tired of coming across channels that have tons of "gear reviews" and not one actual adventure video where they use the gear. Keep up the good work Luke.

In the military and in skydiving we call it a "Debrief" or "Debriefing". The discussion of everything that happened, where things went wrong and how to make them better. Also where things went right.

You're certainly an inspiration! Spent my teen years through my twenties backpacking all over the Catskill mountains of NY. Kids are up and out and I'm ready to seek my passion for outdoor adventure again! Great videos! Thanks for the inspiration!

Man I've been watching your videos for a long time now and they're just awesome! Definitely one of the best channels out there for this kind of stuff, it's always interesting and I love to see what new gear you get. I can imagine that you'd be awesome to go camping with and you make me laugh when you're eating your beans and drinking your coffee ;) I'm also looking forward to your first snow camping video. Please keep up the great vids man!

I've been waiting for you to release this video since the loadout video was posted. The day you released this, a coworker of mine told me her husband-who is overseas-got a bunch of those Catoma EBNS tents and sent them home. She gave me FOUR of them. What a score! I wanted one the minute I saw your video.

When I was younger, before I had my daughter, probably 17, I use to do a little drinking. Well I was partying and it turned out I had no where to stay, do I decided to head home. It was probably around five miles in the dark with no flashlight. So im walking on back roads, and had to cut through a field, it was recently mowed, so no grass. I knew the way but I saw a Bush in the field and was thinking ill go to it then head to the opening in the tree line to the other field, that lead to my trailer. Anyways im getting close to this "bush", and as im getting close I notice its shaking and it started growing at me. Well I was a little tipsy do I wasn't very sharp, and as I get closer I realize its a skunk with its trail up. So as soon as I realize that ii immediately went in the other direction, I got really lucky, because it didn't spray I was within ten feet. That's the closest I've been to getting sprayed by a skunk, needless to say I sobered up pretty quick.
Thanks Luke, I've been watching these older videos and I really like watching your content. Thank you for being you, you inspire me to get out there and just enjoy the wild like I use to before I became a man and the burden of life started to weigh heavy on my soul. The day hikes I've been going on have been great, but im going to kick it up a notch and have an over night adventure. Cheers my friend.

Luke, yet another great video, I voted for the use of the FILBE ruck, thanks for showing it in action. I like the handlebars, don't scare the kids at the meeting. MRE's have gotten better since I was in the service, I have some for hiking and emergency. Lastly I Love the campfire talk, miss that time with my dad since he past away several years ago.

Often in low area's to keep from site..and alot of other things I wont go into... keep truckg Luke

Just discovered your channel, I'm really loving the videos. Do you have plans to review any Snow Peak gear? They make some amazing outdoor gear and I've had my eye on their camping stoves and tents for a while, but there doesn't seem to be many reviews of their products outside of Japan. I saw you did a quick review of their titanium spork recently - their titanium cookware is amazing! Fantastic channel anyway, I'm really stoked up for some camping and hiking adventures in the English countryside with my new FILBE gear. I finally bought a set after watching your extensive reviews.

OMG. Times have changed regarding the MRE. Tortillas, Meatballs and marinara, mayo, pound cake? Back in the day, there was Chicken King..a sloppy stew-like substance, ham loaf, chicken loaf, etc. a lot less appetizing than today's MREs. I might have to try the "new and improved" haha MREs

      Hi Luke
Everything is well here in little Denmark ....... and I can see you are thriving in the United States beautiful nature. ;)
Unfortunately, the last 10-years there has been much legislation prohibiting Danes to move in many places in nature ....... hope it is not so in the U.S. !!??
Delight in you praising the Akto ..... an expensive tent that you have to "train" with. But that delivers in all outdoor conditions.
Looking forward to the next adventure of yourself in nature ..... very inspiring
Hope google translate Danish into English good ;)

Luke do you know what the best way to clean a persons body is for when on the trail if there is no shower around? I have used some body wipes that I got from one of my many hospital stays and was mildly disappointed. Please let me know if you are aware of a better product. Any help would be appreciated as I am a clean freak and have a very hard time going to sleep when dirty or sweaty. Thanks Wes C.

schlaznger hi, get one of these: s.aliexpress.com/FviAnMbm fill up in a stream, boil some water or throw in hot rocks. Washcloth + some soap leaves and you're good to go. I also use the same principle for doing the laundry and dishes as I don't wanna dirty streams and lakes with detergent.

A torch like that would be handy for fending off a predator, and could be made from sticks near your fire.

In the next 5 years I’m saving to retire, I’m so tired of being a slave to the system, when I can save the money for food and supplies to take off the rest of my life and see this beautiful country from campsite to campsite. If your smart you can live off of $1-2k a year on the road if you can find gas that is lol.

I skipped ahead past that bit ;) .
I have been vegetarian for 30yrs and never touch ready made meals with lot's of mystery ingredients. I am also lactose intolerant and gluten intolerant so my meals are just vegetables/fruit and rice/grains with pulses legumes and nuts. They look very different from that mess. I do like baked beans but not with BBQ sauce, that's nasty IMO.
Thanks for the response, I will continue to watch your vids but avoid your cooking tips ;)

TheOutdoorGearReview some people are super sensitive about eating. One of my best friends has to sit in the corner of any restaurant facing the wall cause he can't watch people eat. It's kind of annoying, yeah:) that comment from that guy was overly dramatic. My boss says she has to turn on music while I eat because I make too much noise. You always make your adventures fun, even the meals. Keep the videos coming. :)
