Sometimes it's just good to see somebody having a good time enjoying nature and talkin to us like friends. It's almost like we're there with you. Thanks for the video.
my pet peeve is going to my favorite hiking spots and seeing broken beer bottles or cans all over the ground. plus ammo shells every where at least if your going to shoot pick up your empty shells. it's just sad how some people ruin for others. great video Luke as always. Take care.
I had a 3/4 ton GMC van with a 1 ton chasy which I converted into a camper. Best thing I ever did. My wife and I went everywhere in that van and visited many a wilderness camp ground. We had a fantastic time. There is nothing like being close to nature.
I've done a lot of van camping over the years. Best way to go on a business trip. Sometimes I throw up a tent and sometimes I don't. Fun stuff for sure. Arizona has some of the best thunder storms in the country. Went through some of those last summer on my way back from Colorado and New Mexico. Great stuff.
Awesome! Great to see baked beans in action again after the few last videos. nice camp out buddy. Keep it going. Regarding the ghosts encounter we might share it in the PM, as its kindof sensitive here. Cheers, until next time.
This was actually filmed after the shut down and honestly, I was a bit surprised that the place wasn't boarded up. There are parts of the Pisgah National Forest were you aren't allowed to go though.
Awe Man! Now that's the way I want to go camping! lol I even down loaded that video so I can watch it anytime I want! I loved the banter and your stories and inventions! I have to say one of the best video's yet! Thanx Yawner!!!
I got the idea to watch a horror movie on my laptop at this haunted abandoned house in the middle of nowhere in the attic with my gf & a few friends. We were watchin & we saw a bright light outside & then we heard loud profound foot steps coming up the stairs. So we paused the movie & my friend & I walked down the stairs to meet the person but no one was there so we went outside & no car or person was there. Except we heard a little girl laughing in the woods so we got everyone & we left fast!
Watched a few of your vids. This is my favorite. It was nice to see that even in a back country type trip others still like to have a few comforts. Me and my bro have a camp on his parents land, we use 4-Wheeles to haul gear in so that allows us to use cots and have a few other comforts like coolers and ice and a larger menu for food. This was a great vid! Ghost stories and all! That's camping!
That was great. It's kind'a nice to be in the lap of luxury every once in a while. That stove is nice, a little more control with cooking. The van was great too. I bet it was nice with all that weather. Well thanks again for sharing.
Hey buddy, I was working security on a hospital in the depths of winter. My wife had just had a baby so I was absolutely shattered with having no sleep and working long hours (16hrs a time). My mum had died a few months earlier too. At 2am I sat down in the office block (previously a ward) and nodded off to sleep. I woke at four with somebody shaking me by the shoulder. But there was nobody there but I definitely felt somebody shaking me. Funny thing is, I didn't feel scared at all. I never believed in ghosts before that but now I don't know.
Keep a length of uninsulated copper wire in your vehicle, and a newspaper. If you forget your lighter, twist up some newspaper, wrap the copper wire around it, and touch each end of wire to the 2 terminals of your car battery. The newspaper will ignite within seconds.
have you ever used a digital camera with flash to capture orbs etc? especially in a cemetery…that would be an awesome place to make a camping video…an old abandoned cemetery…i'll write a quick summary of one night playing in a cemetery and some of the photos we captured….
Nice vid.I agree with your reason for going out camping in poor weather too. Also I think natures just as awesome to experience on those days as well as the warm and sunny ones. When I have friends who don't wanna go out because its going to rain,I'm out there under my hennessy hexfly lovin every min.I'm hoping to camp in a good snowfall this winter.
I was a ghost hunter for over 20 years and have had many ghostly encounters ive seen ghosts heard them and felt their touch, one time I was on board the MV Ross Revenge a pirate radio ship from which radio Caroline broadcasts, there were only three of us on board at the time and we were all in the mess room, I saw a man walk past the door so I said to my friend I think we have an intruder on the ship. We searched the entire ship from bow to stern but found no one. my friend now asked me to describe who I had seen, he was average height had long dark hair and a beard and was wearing a black coat with leather patches on the shoulders elbows and cuffs. that when my friend stated you have just seen the ships ghost. Hes been seen by several crew members and dj staff. His name is Harry and before the ship was a pirate radio station she was an Icelandic fishing trawler owned by Ross fisheries and sadly he was killed on board when a trawl wire broke. I saw him again a few years later
I don't know how old your house is but they used to put aluminum wiring in homes, esp mobile homes, and when the insulation on the side got old, the light would turn itself off and on. Don't know anything about the faucet. The basket can break but then you couldn't turn it off. You may have brought someone home with you from the cemetery too. Yikes. Great video. I go far day camping these days.
Me and a buddy were closing a retail store one night. It was very late and we had walked the premises to make sure the guests had departed. Right before we set the alarm, though, we heard a crying baby. The baby was crying real loud and like kinda painful as though it had fallen. When we went to look for her/him, we found no one. Then we heard the weak agonizing screams, again, so I ran to the back of the store with my buddy up front and we looked down each aisle and into each others eyes. Nothing. It was real tough locking up that night, because it was so real sounding, we needed to make sure there was no kid left behind and I wasn't too sure. The very next day I went looking down every aisle and there was no trace and no sounds. During the day I was called to the front, and there stood my old boss. I let him know what happened and he told me that there was a baby who had died in the store years back. Apparently she had been left unattended in a basket and had fallen to her death. A different story is about me when I was driving in bad weather as a teenager. I did a fool thing and drove my English Heilman into the path of a tornado at night on my way home from a date. When I saw the bricks and 4x4's coming at me, it was too late. My car was trashed; headlights, windshield and wipers were just ripped off my car and I headed straight up like a rocket. I landed back on the tires, and that was good, although, I had a bad case of the shakes for 6 weeks and couldn't drive myself anywhere. Dear old dad nursed me back and I remember his encouraging hand on my back when I needed comforting. Well, my dad's been gone quite a while now, and recently I saw a sheet of water headed right for me. Thankfully I was by myself and I tried heading for cover, but I didn't need much, for there was dear old dads hand touching my back and his voice saying, "cowboy, it's gonna be all right". Cowboy was my nickname when I was in my youth and pop always called me that up until the day he died. Well those are 2 stories I remember like it was yesterday. Thanks Luke, I enjoyed your scary adventure. ATB, Jb.
Coleman's tent quality has gone down drastically in recent years but their stoves always seem pretty nice. Especially if you get the kit and use larger bottles, they work much better in cold weather than those little canisters. Instead of cutting your water bottle get a 5-7 gal jug with a nozzle, I always bring one car camping. Car camping comfort = good food! You nailed it this trip! Ghost stories around the campfire, nice.
The things that you were talking about reminded me of the "haunted" apartment my husband and I first lived in. I had a cat that would hiss at something that wasn't there and as I would lay on the bed watching tv and I swear that I heard someone walk up to me in the shag carpet, I could hear the footsteps and no one would be there. At night going into the bathroom from the bedroom, we would catch a glimpse of something in the dark out of the corners of our eyes, my husbands as well as mine on several occasions. He and I had met at Church on the Street in Phoenix, Az and I accepted Jesus Christ there and finally I just prayed that apartment clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. After that we had zero incidents happen. Greater is He that is in me then he that is in the world.
My sister and I go ghost hunting a couple of times a year. She was part of a group for a while. We have both seen and heard things we could not explain.
Two things: instead of putting a hole in a jug why not use a controlled water spigot from an old laundry detergent bottle? Saw someone do this and they had the paper towels bungee corded from a cheap holder on top. press button= water. let go = shut off. second if you have dry wood just wet it and it will smoke just like if you were smoking meat. You wet your dry wood chips fpr smoke no need to cut green tissue.
First off, love the camping adventures. I stumbled upon you and am watching all the overnight adventures from the beginning. Second, I have had quite a few weird paranormal experiences. If you haven't already, look into something called the "shadow hat man". The weirdest experience I have had though, was when I first moved to New Hampshire, I was driving around exploring the sideroads, and was on a dirty road and stumbled upon one of the old state hospitals/asylums. As I was driving by it, my truck completely died and shut off out of nowhere in front of the building... So there I am, by myself, no idea where I am, no cell phone service, hadn't seen a house in a little bit in front of a creepy old abandoned state hospital that just sidelined my truck. The weird part was, the truck wouldn't start back up in front of the building, and since the building creeped me out, I pushed the truck past the building so I didn't feel like I was being watched, tried to start the truck up again and it started up like nothing was even wrong... freaky.
When we were growing up in Okinawa, we had an incident at one of the on-base hotels (Kuwae Lodge, doesn't exist anymore). Brother and I were sharing a room and had separate beds, twin size. They were separated by two night stands that sat in between the beds. We woke up one morning to find that the beds had been pushed together, and that the nightstands had been moved to the outside of either side of the bed. When we attempted to move things back to the way they were, we found that the both the beds and the nightstands were far too heavy for us to move on own - we were roughly 9 and 11 at the time, and all of the furniture was solid wood. Additionally, the bathroom light would come on during the middle of the night, and the toilet in our room would randomly flush on it's own - handle operation and all. Okinawa is a heck of a place, and given the history, there are TONS of ghost reports and stories that go along with the island.
wow, thanks for the detailed reply. I really enjoy your videos. I never see you utilize the axe in many of your videos. up here in canaian bush I like the gransfor bruk Swedish axe. iits a fav of many tv survival enthusiasts. i'm surprised you don't bring guns with you. as a Canadian, I am super envious about being able to own handguns. we can but its tones and tones of hoops, liscences, permits. rifles and shotguns require a serious liscence alone. I so wish I could go buy a hamerless .357 mag for camping in grizzly country. thanks for the vids and look into the gransfor bruk axes, best on the market!
Sure thing brother, you took the time to write and I owe you the same respect. That's how I see it. As for axes, honestly I am rarely in the situation where I really need one. I can almost always process wood with less effort without it. If I'm bushcrafting I will bring one along but still, it isn't my primary tool. Wetterlings and Gransfor are equals in my book. In regards to a gun, sometimes I will carry but it really depends on where I am going. When I do carry I've thought about showing off my gun of choice but I really don't want to make my channel about that. Know what I mean? Around here we have lots of black bears but really they are more scared of us than we should be of them. Take care brother.
Yes I have had experience with what you have been taking about, in my case I had brought a curtain, and dollies and things were happened in my children bedroom I took curtain and dollies out side left them out for a few days, and all stopped. So I burned them..
Camping in that van was like when I used my parents' old junk station wagon with the back seat down could stretch from front seat to tail gate LOL; I put cardboard over all the windows when I slept in there, used old sofa cushions, and blankets and pillow, most of time one of the others asked to stay but nightfall they went in house so majority I was by myself mom always made sure I had Flashlight and knew to lock all doors I had key so I could keep others out; had lots of fun in that old wagon I had old magazines and papers I could read with a pop up light; when I went to sleep I'd sleep all night and I was a sound sleeper nothing could wake me up
I have personally seen 2 spirits in my house. I also heard footsteps twice in the house I grew up in walking the length of the upstairs while we were downstairs.
I appreciate the Coleman stove for car camping as well as base camp use. I have n old Coleman that has three burners, I've never seen another one like it, they were only available for a couple years, and this on I've had for over 20 years, its currently the kitchen stove in my hunting cabin. It steel, rugged and works like the day I bought it. For a number of weeks every hunting season it feeds the whole camp, coffee, breakfast and dinner, so its gets a work out. I was smart enough o get the accessories to sue both the 2 lb cylinders as well as a 40 pounder at the camp. Great stoves if you got the space.
I used that stove during a workamping job in Minnesota and didn't even use a full canister of propane. and that's using it for at least 15 minutes a day for three weeks
Awesome being well sheltered while the storm is a brewin' just outside. I be ya were glad you were in a van instead of on the ground for this overnighter eh?
My kid brother and i were bike riding, we went through this small village, as we were taking a break, my brother nudged me and said look up at that window, i swear there was a house brick floating in the window. Endless to say we left pretty quickly.
Luke, I am watching this is 2020, you must Be VERY CAREFUL about the EVP's and Ghost stuff you could of opened a door you can't shut. Things may start out weird, but can become more violent. I have enjoyed all of your videos and love your positive outlook.
At a friend's who I go camping with and it was New Years eve and everyone is asleep. And I get 3 extreme knocks. happened twice. going back n forth. Didn't hear any footsteps or knocks and my foot got really numb n itchy after I said screw it ima leave the door open. I wake up the next morning and I had 3 new Marks on back of my ankle. and i slept on a rounded metal bunk bed. no sharp areas at all. definitely was on my mind trying 2 figure it out for weeks
Talking about Ghosts I have seen plenty of them in my life and our house is haunted. The sewer is pretty close to our house and we hear things down there and out attic used to be haunted. One day after we moved in I heard this noise that almost made me jump out of my skin and it sounded like a bowling ball being dropped. Once you start messing with the paranormal they will follow you home. Be careful because they can harm you. Don’t show any weakness because they thrive on your fear. Be safe.
I find it funny how a friend of mine, and i were also exploring what was an old abandoned Hospital area.. and he also asked me "wonder where the morgue is".. though we arent into the ghost hunting, just exploring abandoned locations.
I enjoyed your ghost stories. Great video. Could you do a Halloween ghost story campout maybe with your brother? Sharing your experiences would be awesome.
I'm 50 years old and I spent 9 years in the Army and I'd still be spooked by camping out alone in the woods - especially after hearing ghost stories. The Blair Witch Project... I'm scared just thinking about it..
i remember watching an episode when you are hiking and came across a spaced out hiker and moments later you said you heard a woman scream help or something, thats pretty creepy. i hope you can do more overnight adventures talking or investigating supernatural stuffs, that would be awsome!
Rewatched the last 12 mins with my wife as I had the apparent nerve to finish it without her. Lol She stepped into the middle then left, how was I supposed to know she was curious to see how it all ended. Lol Well....you got her with the yawn!!!! Lmao Be well brother Craig
Sometimes it's just good to see somebody having a good time enjoying nature and talkin to us like friends. It's almost like we're there with you. Thanks for the video.
I agree and was thinking the same thing! Luke is a cool guy to hang out with and learn from.
I love how upbeat and positive you are, thanks so much for making these videos!
I'm right there with you guys; love exploring abandoned places.
my pet peeve is going to my favorite hiking spots and seeing broken beer bottles or cans all over the ground. plus ammo shells every where at least if your going to shoot pick up your empty shells. it's just sad how some people ruin for others. great video Luke as always. Take care.
I know exactly what you mean! Come on Winter! I can't wait to camp out in some snowfalls.
I had a 3/4 ton GMC van with a 1 ton chasy which I converted into a camper. Best thing I ever did. My wife and I went everywhere in that van and visited many a wilderness camp ground. We had a fantastic time. There is nothing like being close to nature.
I agree 💯 with you. It's terribly wrong to toss trash,
Awesome to hear rain, good night 😴
The Van is an awesome shelter but to be honest I love camping out in weather like this. I love storms and don't mind it in a tent.
Thank you brother. No trouble getting out but god that road is TERRIBLE!
It will be a great meal!
That sounds absolutely awesome Mobiltec.
Be well my friend.

Thanx Yawner!!!
brings back some good memories of when I had a custom van , mine was also a ram but short wheel base ; enjoying your videos Thanks

Awesome videos!! And the barbeque made me so hungry!! Our whole family loves your videos!! Thanks for posting!
Love rain hope it comes
I'd love to reply to some of these comments but due to the 'awesome' changes on youtube I can't do that.
i know its late, but how about Van-go? lol
It has been awesome not bored at all!
Hey buddy,
I was working security on a hospital in the depths of winter.
I agree 💯 with what you said about relaxing!
just now seeing this one,man what A DINNER!!!;-)
2020... the van! Awesome. Y’all are awesome! The years passed quick. Keep going...
This is where I would love to go camping! In a thunderstorm!
When you got to go, you go. It's an art really and one that you just have to get experience with.
You look cool and collected
Great video, its relaxing to go to sleep in the rain.
That's awesome idea!
Keep a length of uninsulated copper wire in your vehicle, and a newspaper. If you forget your lighter, twist up some newspaper, wrap the copper wire around it, and touch each end of wire to the 2 terminals of your car battery. The newspaper will ignite within seconds.
i have so many ghost stories…you would make the best camping buddy ever dude….ROCK ON!
Brother I would love to hear all of them!

Nice vid. I enjoyed that, I've camped most of my life and I still find inspiration in you videos thanks.
PS. I just started watching your videos and I'm really liking them man, keep it up!
Thank you very much my friend.

Awesome meal enjoy, bien probecho!
Thank you greatly my friend.
Hmmmm.....Interesting idea. I will see what I can do.
I love this video it looked like so much fun thanks for posting I loved that dodge van
These early videos you posted are definitely as good as it gets!!
My sister and I go ghost hunting a couple of times a year. She was part of a group for a while. We have both seen and heard things we could not explain.
Love the ghost stories. You have one awesome van my friend.
Thanks GOZ.
Be well.

Soooooo awesome. Just love all your videos..catching up since I am a new subscriber. Go Luke!! Cheers!

I previously lied- THIS is now the best meal to date !

Camping in that van was like when I used my parents' old junk station wagon with the back seat down could stretch from front seat to tail gate LOL; I put cardboard over all the windows when I slept in there, used old sofa cushions, and blankets and pillow, most of time one of the others asked to stay but nightfall they went in house so majority I was by myself mom always made sure I had Flashlight and knew to lock all doors I had key so I could keep others out; had lots of fun in that old wagon I had old magazines and papers I could read with a pop up light; when I went to sleep I'd sleep all night and I was a sound sleeper nothing could wake me up
Luke great camp out!!!! Thank you 😊❤
wow, I can't believe how much you've aged. this was my all-time favorite video back in the day!!! love you luke always have.
The 'ram van' rocks! By the way, your videos are never boring my friend
I have personally seen 2 spirits in my house. I also heard footsteps twice in the house I grew up in walking the length of the upstairs while we were downstairs.
purfect camping day good you had the Ram Van
patrice
Like your videos mate hi from Australia
Thanks Angelo! - Luke
I was born in Burke county. in the 40s &50s my grandpa and great uncle had the biggest steel operation in Burke county
Luke, I am watching this is 2020, you must Be VERY CAREFUL about the EVP's and Ghost stuff you could of opened a door you can't shut. Things may start out weird, but can become more violent. I have enjoyed all of your videos and love your positive outlook.
Was just playin Luke....looks like a water bottle suspended :-) peace my american bro
awesome, wish i had been there
At a friend's who I go camping with and it was New Years eve and everyone is asleep.
You are going to be a good grandpa, you are good at storytelling.
Thanks for the video.
I enjoyed your ghost stories. Great video. Could you do a Halloween ghost story campout maybe with your brother? Sharing your experiences would be awesome.
Bloody hell Luke, I nearly shat my pants with those ghost stories! Lol
Luke, What really would be scary is if you saw a figure when lightning lit up outside. then its gone the next time it lit up out side:O scary!
How incredibly interesting
Awesome trip- Ram Van Rocks!
Basically I put the camera up and then pull in. ;) Be well brother.
I'm 50 years old and I spent 9 years in the Army and I'd still be spooked by camping out alone in the woods - especially after hearing ghost stories.
The Blair Witch Project...
I'm scared just thinking about it..
Did my first solo camping trip far out in the woods a couple of days ago and I have to say it really builds character.
Thank you so much for letting me know that. You made my evening. :)
I recently subscribed to your channel, it is badass man...love it.
i remember watching an episode when you are hiking and came across a spaced out hiker and moments later you said you heard a woman scream help or something, thats pretty creepy. i hope you can do more overnight adventures talking or investigating supernatural stuffs, that would be awsome!
Sweet van
Dang right! haha
Rewatched the last 12 mins with my wife as I had the apparent nerve to finish it without her. Lol
She stepped into the middle then left, how was I supposed to know she was curious to see how it all ended. Lol
Well....you got her with the yawn!!!! Lmao
Be well brother
