YZZR medium inserts, Jconcepts The Hold on the cj7

- Trying out the YZZR inserts in the jconcepts the hold tires. One thing I’ve noticed using these inserts was they moved in and out on the wheel during extreme side hilling. It wasn’t bad enough to say they were bad or not good inserts I wouldn’t use, but just something I noticed. I think they performed really well. I think maybe I would have liked the soft/super soft split over the mediums. I like a softer inserts. Overall, I think they did pretty well out trailing in the CJ7. I did have a mishap on the trail today as my servo horn stripped out. Luckily for me I carry extra parts and a nuts and bolts and many other various things with me while trailing. Sometimes I’m over 2 miles away from camp. Not fun carrying a heavy trail rig and doing the walk of shame lol.

What is the weight of that rig do you know ?
Hey! Great question. Last I weighed it, it was right at 10.18lbs. That’s with battery and as it sits. I have weighed my tires, wheels and inserts alone, and that all weighs 3lbs. Injora inserts add significant weight and I’ve also got brass rings. I like to keep my trail rigs planted.

Hey there! I wouldn’t necessarily say they’re better than the Baja boss tires, as they’re designed to do different things. I use the Baja boss on my xj build and I love them on it. I just wanted to do a different look with the cj. I’m always changing tires and wheels on my rigs.
