Gro Ver I found that the iPhones colour reproduction looked a little fake. I definitely preferred the Samsung’s front camera however it’s back camera seems pretty dull and I would take the faker looking videos than a duller video. But to be fair it’s a new phone and they will most likely be constantly tweaking the colours on the note 20 ultra

Can we just appreciate how crazy it is that in a matter of 10 years we went from phones being only good for taking phone calls and texting and now our phones have cameras which take pictures and videos at the same quality of the stand-alone semi-professional cameras of 10 years ago, they have a mobile internet connection that can reach speeds of 100 mbps, can play full-fledged games, play videos, browse the internet, and have beautiful huge screens in small packages that a lot for some basic productivity tasks.
I had wireless charging on my phone about 10 years ago, it was the Palm Pre Plus.

Samsung has been doing noise cancellation amazing in Apple lacks in that big time. I have a 11 pro max and I almost got the 20 but I did not. I like both but they both have great things and negative things.

OkDovid well I had the note 8 and I could drive in my truck on the hwy windows down and my woman could not hear anything but me and I do like 80 or 85 lol and here I am with the 11 pro max and it is trash compared to my note 8 and on top of that my iPhone X did everything better than this phone other than pics but the battery on this 11 max is amazing I have like 50 % when I lay down at 11 and I get up at 540 so this is the first time apple has had such an amazing battery.

I’m honestly really surprised at how much Samsung improved in their cameras. I have an iPhone 11 and even I thought the note 20 took better pictures. Though I do prefer the colors on the iPhone even though they might be too aggressive.
Iphone 11 colors are a bit overly saturated. I own one and I own a galaxy s20.. the camera on the note20 is far better than the s20 and the iphone11. I'd love to see a comparing against the pixel.

@@adilalkanzy1820 maybe you need glasses or you need to Google the definition of "saturation".. it's evident on the video that the iPhones colors are more saturated .. many other tech reviewers have mentioned it as well, you might want to look it up on TH-cam kid ... Also, iphone colors have a greenish, yellowish tints.. not true to colors. Google pixel camera are more true to colors if you want to talk about that subject lol.

Work in Progress but you have to consider the new iPhone is coming out in a month or two and the 11 Pro is almost a year older than the Note 20 Ultra

The Note 20 Ultra’s audio may cancel out background noise (which is great), but it also robs the depth that’s present in the iPhone. Personally, I prefer the iPhone because of that, but I can see why someone would like the isolation.

I agree. I own an iPhone XS Max, so I’m not swayed either way. I definitely preferred the Note 20 for every shot. The iPhone seemed to be a tiny bit washed out in most shots. This has me considering the Note 20 Ultra over whatever Apple announces next.

Is it me who likes note 20 ultra colours of videos more than iphones colours. Sound of iphones is not good man.
As a professional portrait photographer, I would use the 5x optical zoom on the note. If 2x is equivalent to 50mm, then 5x would be equivalent to roughly 105-135mm. I would take a 135mm over a 50mm for portraits all day. Better background compression and less distortion. Sure, 50mm is fine for a portrait, but not the most ideal. And if 2x on the note is digital, but 5x is optical... Then, the choice is clear.
I would also disagree with you on the "better black levels" on the iPhone. I'm not seeing better detail in the blacks at all. The blacks on the iPhone seem to lack contrast and look like they have a matted look.

Vikram Balaji gonna have to disagree on what you said about iphones introducing most features fast because as far as i know and apparently a lot of other people too, iphones are always late to the party. Water and dust resistance, fast charging, wireless charging, fast wireless charging, ultrawide camera and the list goes on. Apple doesn’t really recreate or reinnovate the smartphone world anymore like they used to. They’re just doing things simpler and they make sure that the features that they offer are great.

Put very simply iPhone is still great, differences being that iPhone is a little brighter, lacks a bit of details, and lacks a bit of stabilization
Yeah, I notice that in good light panning was smooth in iPhone but jerky at times in Note (also 4K, strange because the actual stabilisation was better in it). But panning at night time was jerky in iPhone, yet it had less strange artifacts in bright objects (lights). I was somewhat dissapointed at the low light video of both 😐.
t kermi it’s a tiny sensor in both what would you expect? What’s interesting is that the note sensor is 2 time the size of the iPhone one and the differences are not drastically different. It’s a bit shameful Samsung.
@@r0main.895 Yeah 🤷🏻♂️. 11 Pro Max has only 1/2,55" sensor (F1.8 lense) but Note 20 Ultra has 1/1,33" sensor (also F1.8 lense). So it's reasonable size with almost 4x more surface area than 11 Pro Max sensor. So I would have hoped it to perform better. Interesting to see more tests about Mi 10 Ultra 🤔.

The Note 20 Ultra had far less motion blur and bouncing when you were walking or running; which is rare, because Apple usually dominates the stabilization category. The detail was also a pinch sharper on the Note, with less "glow" around items, and will only get better with software updates. The Samsung has stronger zoom, and has sharper detail over a wider distance of images (like a landscape shot) than the Apple phone. Overall, Apple tends to cast a warm filter over images, while Samsung tends to cast a cool filter over images. That just comes down to which way people prefer their images to lean.
15:00 how can you call it a draw when you can clearly see alot of noise in the iPhone photo. I know its your own opinion but the shots you like on the iphone are quite flat and bland. Seeing More shadows doesnt make an image look better.

I agree! Also the shot of his car, the iPhone had that noise in it, and was faded and hazy looking and the Note was sharp and defined with deep colors with no noise in the shadows.

Maurice Dicke samsung panels are pretty accurate in AMOLED Photo or Basic mode, can’t say the same for the Adaptive Display mode.
@@mauricedicke9527 the screen calibration in the Note 20 is much better than the iphone or any phone actually. If you think it's oversaturated then maybe you should tune your phone's settings, maybe your panel is over saturated

What I notice is that the note has cinema colors. Every picture looks like a movie scene. The colors are very similar to what you see in a movie.
Good thing I check videos regularly, no thanks to TH-cam poor notification system I'm just now seeing this vid, and notifications are turned on
Watching this while i’m 24 hours away from my new Note 20 Ultra! Love the idea and the side by side is huge. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and take a lot of 5-10x photos and wide angle, so the Note 20 Ultra is winning! Thankful they fixed the Zoom issue as my S20 Ultra just isn’t the phone I hoped it to be

iphone maintains the colour vibrant tag .....
I really love iPhone photos, my smartphone is the 8 plus and still taking great photos. But even that, for this comparison in 2020 is notably that Note 20 does a better job in almost all the images, I fell the comparison a little biased for iPhone. Note 2020 is a beast.

The best part about these phones is how minimal the upgrades are from 2019 flagships. This is a signal alone that we as consumers do not have to pay high prices for good specs. Hold on to your 2019's and wait for some good deals that are soon to come.
