I learned the hard way... yes, Rim Guard (beet juice based) causes the inner metal core of a rubber valve stem to separate from the rubber housing.

YES.,,,,I just learned that today and had a huge mess when I went to check the tire pressure and the whole center came out in my hand. the glue that holds the metal core in the rubber stem totally had failed.

Looks like a brand new Tractor and tire. This may be MUCH more difficult on a 5-10 year old tire and rim.....

The washer might be EPDM which is synthetic rubber and don't break down easy.
