Not sure which CPU and which revision of PID you are using. Note different firmware of S7-1500, S7-1200, and different PID revision has not same on the inactive, manual/auto switch. Please, please check the online help for the "MODE" switch. You can use a INT =3 Auto or 4 Man to control the 'Mode' of the "PID_Compact" and apply a Rising Edge to "ModeActivate" to trigger the mode change.
