My Medieval Fish Shoes (an educational journey in history, weird leathers, and shoemaking)

I made pointy medieval(ish) turnshoes (a.k.a. crakows or poulaines) out of carp leather (yes, the fish).
They're not the most beautiful or well-made, nor are they very historically accurate. Still, I hope you'll enjoy coming on a meandering journey where I make some shoes and try to figure out why medieval Europeans seem to have NOT been that excited about fish leather - because fish leather is actually pretty great!
