Thought I would share this. On the dunes and getting more highlight, I have found keeping it on a separate layer allows me to use the bloom feature and ramp up the brightness without affecting anything else. Just a thought for those that have difficulty with it like I did. You still the man James and thank you for all you do.
@@RobBecks91 you can once check if you’re using the same colour scheme as him on the canvas setting. Otherwise there does seem to be a very minor difference because of screens and edits but it’s not very noticeable
@@ARS1508 thanks for your answer. Everything is identical about the settings. Maybe it’s about my paper like screen or my iPad Pro 2021 is darker from the brightness 🔅 Just noticed that especially the warm sun colors are not so warm as in the video for example - but anyway it makes a lot of fun to share these hours of meditation in procreate.
@@JamesJulier-Artist How do you decide what brush to use, man? And do you have some tips about color? im no professional, just draw as a hobby, but it always ugly lmao
Do you have a video on procreate and Apple Pencil settings we should be using? Your videos are awesome I can’t even draw a stick figure and am doing ok!
I love following your tutorials. I am not sure if you will see this, but can you show how would you integrate a character into your technique? How to make it look natural?

This is such an underrated channel I've learned how to paint just from watching you. Please never stop posting videos.
Really liked this one James. But those dunes were hard! I had to do them 3 times until I was happy with them. The smudge tool was key. 😃
Me too!
Haha I agree! Mine look like clouds atm, I was looking for comments about the Dunes.

Wonderful tutorial. Thank you so much
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve been following along for a while now, all I need now is to know how to make color palettes lol
Oh do you mean create your own pallets separately or transferring the pallet he suggested to procreate?
It seems on my iPad the colors are not so strong and darker than in the videos… is it normal? I have the same settings here …
