Nobody tell him that the game has an ingame encyclopedia that tells you all about the characters. I get the criticism though, this is a Japanese game though and for the Japanese these characters are as iconic and well known as Caesar, Alexander, Hannibal or Napoleon in the West.
Not saying Hannibal isn't awesome, but in the west (at least in America) he is not mentioned. Actually, not even Carthage is mentioned. They teach all about Rome without literally saying the word "Carthage" once.

uhh, Im not sure where some of these people studied at, but the education I received in america taught about all these historical figures very clearly.
They don't have much reason to teach things if they are never on the regents exam, thus Carthage is never learned about.
Also i think he did not read anything in the game, especially mission descriptions and stuff because if it was so he would have known about hideaki kobayakawa before searching him up after the sekigahara cutscene ( you meet him first in the chugoku region )
My summary of the game.
White man invades Japan to kill demons and save Koi, the spirit(saoirse).
It's funnier when you remember William Adams was a real person.
theres a shrine to William Adams in japan and a festival held in his memory
I love how most Japanese / samurai type games always keep Nobunaga looking like his Samurai Warriors figure in pretty much every game he's in but the other characters change images everytime lmao
Samurai Warriors Nobunaga hit the good balance of wise but still menacing Nobunaga
I was expecting you to sin the guy who used his raven spirit for functional wings, which makes one wonder why nobody else uses traits from their guardian spirits. William could have skipped a bunch of levels just by using one of the flying spirits.

Dartigan, you got your facts wrong in sin 26: Japan didn't close its borders to the West until mid 17th century, and even then the sakoku edicts permitted the Dutch to have an outpost in Nagasaki. This game takes place partly even before the Battle of Sekigahara when Japan relied heavily on Portuguese trade with China since mid 16th century, and even had trade relations with Spain, The Netherlands, and England.
There's currently a Dutch theme park in Japan to commemorate that old outpost. Let's just say that as a Dutchman I was pretty confused when I got dropped there by Geoguessr.

The plot makes sense, cutscenes wouldn’t tell much in any game. You have to do missions kill bosses and do other stuff to unlock more, along with info for bosses spirts and other people.

Actually, depending on how you played. William had help from the torches to defeat Umi Bozu. At the very least, when he fought it for real, it wasn't out at sea: Umi Bozu's element.
I lost it at "Niohpet". That is hands down the best pun you have ever made.

For anyone watching this today, the reason why this happens is because, in real life, all of William's crew actually died on voyage, although one other person survived in real history.
Ok I was absolutely blown away by the cat's eyes telling time thing. I did NOT know about that and you had me instantly looking into it.
I've learned that both this game and nioh 2 are stories you have to read to know. Not just the linear story
Hanzo was chasing after Kelley, Kelley doesn’t teleport across the country, just nearby and hanzo picked up on that, but Kelley got away still
This game is so hard they don’t give you a breather
I would rather see you sin Horizon Zero Dawn because many people have been saying For Honor is more about it's multiplayer and the story is like a over exaggerated tutorial
True, there's not much to For Honor singleplayer. It's fun enough and it teaches you the basics, but if you already did the advanced tutorial it's pretty redundant. I'm hoping that they will make a DLC singleplayer campaign that is actually challenging and interesting.

Japan was not closed off from the world during the rather younger days of Hatori Hanzo, only after that. Yasuke might have been called ' Obsidian Samurai' because this was a likely name to use at that time. People had not been obsessed with using ideological terminology.
Kelley was most likely waiting down in the catacombs, disguised as Muneshige, because he knew Ginchiyo would come looking for him. Ginchiyo is protected by a guardian spirit, which Kelley collects. He probably wanted to take Muneshige's Raiken, then wanted to trick Ginchiyo and take hers too, so he decided to wait. However, William defeats Kelley and stops Kelley from taking the Raiken without allowing Kelley to take Ginchiyo's Raiken either. Paired Raiken are stronger than single. That's my theory as to why Kelley waited. He obviously knew who Ginchiyo was, and addressed her before anyone else when she showed up.
Also, who says that they've been actually there for days. The whole area was stuffed with yokai when William arrived. Imagine how it must have been in the first place. So, is it far fetched that it took some time to clear the area.

2:48 I think the fact that the Yokai Don’t attack the human bandits is just dumb. It would be much more realistic and add a level of depth if you could lure humans to Yokai, and have them eliminate on another.

This is a good, funny video that points out plot holes in what is otherwise a well made game. One tiny critique though: there are details that can be read in game regarding William's ability to shape shift. If you go to the Amrita memories, there is a section which says that William stole the Ouroboros from Kelley which allowed him to shapeshift.

It seem you weren't able to understand the plot at all, despite all the text help and the charakter enzyclopedias. It is rather easy to understand and you can even do everything again and watch every scene again if you couldn't understand it.
For example: You kill all the yokai because you agreed to Hanzos offer in the first mission! You help them kill Yokai and they will help you find Kelly, give you a blacksmith and traveling opportunities etc.
Or this one: No Hanz doesn't just run of for no reason at the nekomata fight, he obviously follows Kelly!
Hilarious video. A lot of butthurt comments on a joke video makes me lose hope in humanity. Laugh it off and get over yourself. This isn't supposed to be taken seriously.
The plot was weak...
Michael Zhu I understood the plot from the get go, I didnt need to know the ENTIRE backstory of every single character introduced, the game explained all of their intentions and motivations through dialogue and if you wanted to understand them deeper, then there was the option of going into the illustrations to see artwork as well as read about them. At this point, if people really had such a difficult time understanding the plotline, I just have to assume that for as many people that were confused because it was too “complicated” or they didnt know who the characters were, just as many people who didnt understand it were just really stupid.
Late to the party but as somebody who felt the alpha and beta was a clunky mess, I’m loving this game.
My only gripe is the sometimes unresponsive controls. I feel like the game locks my dodge on purpose to simulate difficulty.

Maxi Iroh If you take their sin system seriously, you clearly never watched the video where they sinned themselves. They do the sins videos for entertainment. They don't do them for a serious tone. It always annoys me when people support 1 channel who does the same type of videos, but then say that the channel that made that style of content is worse suddenly. Channels change as they grow, they try new things, they make videos a bit differently over time. While not all changes are good, you can't say that a whole channel is just shit because they changed. If you don't like their content, say you don't like it. I don't personally like Dan or Phil but I don't bitch or call them shit just because of that. If you font like their videos, that's alright. But don't go around saying that, "oh this channel is shit and so is this one". Don't act like your opinion is fact.

the third boss fight you said fuck this boss fight. it took me 7 trys each time checking his elemental weaknesses, applying chaos, then living weaponing and beating him on my 8th attempt killing him in 10 seconds
You can turn off the "Gameplay recording paused" messages in the notification settings, I hear.
In sin 44 usually when forging katana even though it can at least one crafted for use, there is always a principle forged always superior than the commercial one. She most likely gave him the former and kept the original Raikiri.
Fun fact, Fukus superior the priest Tenkai is actually the man who killed Nobunaga and his wife.
Also, if the spirit animals have to willingly possess a willing subject in order to do their thing, why is William’s spirit forced to do Kelly’s bidding?
Even if he trapped her, he shouldn’t be able to hurt her, and it would make sense that if she wanted to, she could just not find Amrita for him.
The 'Giant toad' is Hanzo's dad and the ninja reanimated by amrita. They were all but extinct.

Game developers establishing a stamina bar even for enemies but said enemies just don't give a damn sh** about it and fight as if they had nothing at all.
Enemies (particularly revenants) cheating every aspect of the game including the stamina system I just mentioned.
Bosses who use nearly impossible to react moves (like the mid screen thrust attack Yuki Onna get on phase 2) forcing the player to cheese the IA instead of using actual skills to beat them

Hey I figured out the yuki onas weakness distance if you get for away enough from her most of her attacks have a a harder time hitting you and she leave her self open if she misses yes even her charging stab grab attach has a limited range on it just stay away from her let her miss or come to you

While Yamata-no -orochi had to be killed by the Shinto Deity Susano'o it was far from the most feared or most powerful Yokai.
one of the most feared yokai is Kuchisake Onna, the slit mouthed woman. this fear is because she looks like a regular Japanese woman. So you don't actually expect her to be a murderous yokai
I am unsure of what the most powerful yokai is however.
