Warframe:

You know, warframe is a strange game. But I was *never* expecting to see a windows 95 machine and Jetstream sam shooting tv zombies on the half life alyx train with an ak47
This is the same game where literal gods can get into water gun fights with cutesy jellyfish girls and dismorphed alien clones
I dunno how all the new stuff fits into lore, but it certainly ain't much more bewildering than what we already have
@k-disboher1105 I feel like the point is to be rooted rather than outlandish with 1999, warframe spends as much time as possible feeling disconnected from now that it makes me intrigued at how Warframe ties into either dark sector or its explanation of itself to a more modern time, 1999.
What makes 1999 look so good is that warframe does _gasp cosmic horror_ enough that more retro elements make it feel rooted to now, hell, that's why the Jetstream Sam jokes are flying off the shelved too.

@@k-disboher1105 The Void is outside of space and time where science goes to die. Albrecht Entrati entered the place, met the Man in the Wall and likely opened their world up to the void. The Tenno then made a deal during the Zariman Ten Zero incident which essentially superimposed all versions of the Tenno across all timelines and allowed them to manifest the void through their bodies, coincidentally setting the stage for the end of the Orokin Empire in the process, which then lead to the events of the New war and his inevitable escape from the void.
Now it seems that the Tenno are going into the bowels of Albrecht's old laboratory, interacting with the machines that allowed Wally access in the first place as well as machines that connect to alternate realities, (Specifically the big humanoid body the Tenno used transference on before the 1999 trailer.) The 1999 reality is probably some nod to Dark Sector, an alternate reality of it and where a Wally possessed Albrecht escaped to at some point, considering the Wally looking Albrecht at the end of the 1999 trailer. The Smile, voice and mannerisms kind of hint at it.
I admire the restraint of not making a single jojoke about Albrecht.

I could tell Steve really likes the direction warframe is headed in.
Probably feels like he can breath and watch his child develop into something great, while also working on a new project to keep the creative juices flowing. I get the feeling making Rebeca the new leader of WF is one of the smartest moves DE have ever done.

I had the honor of meeting her at both TennoVIP 2015 and 2018, heck me begging her on twitter like a little sucker is the only reason i got INTO TennoVIP 2015 (because i got to hop in as a replacement last minute for someone who had to cancel, i hadn't gotten one of the original tickets). She'll always have my gratitude for that ^^
Funniest thing from the TennoLive was that, when starting the new Quest, the account they were working on still had Wave Rider un-completed. Not even the Devs want to do that thing...
I think I got to like page 3 and just gave up on it
I leave it uncompleted so ordis stays muted (transmissions don't happen while a quest is active)

with every new content release it becomes more apparent that DE's only principle when it comes to design, writing, and balance is (for better and worse) the rule of cool and absolutely nothing else
and we're all in for it
I would wish they would more fine tune and enhance existing content than having 20 construction sites.
Archon hunts are meh, I would prefer decent raids with mechanics.
But the good thing, it's a f2p game I paid like 5 years ago the last time money in warframe.
Finally they partially admitted it. I knew Warframe has zero consistency. But a majority of people who play Warframe loves that.
Its all about the "WOW factor" according to Rebbeca Ford. Players demand constant content updates, wich include new weapons, new enemies, new warframes, new missions, new quests, etc but even if DE delivered those, players will demand more (because they get used to contant content updated) or simply get bored and thats when the WOW factor comes in. DE as a company needs to deliver constant updates because they need platinum / prime access purchases, but they also need to work on stuff that will make players jaws drop as well to keep them engaged to the game. Thats why they introduce content that changes radically how the game is played (such as Archwing, Railjack, K-drives, open-ish worlds, etc).
Digital Extremes: Let’s add more games to our game. The players want more games in our game. So we should add even more games to our game.

Not Jetstream Sam specifically, but the general "military sci-fi" aesthetic of which Metal Gear Solid is a famous purveyor. So, Snake, Raiden, Sam, some 90's hairstyle, etc, and he fits in there. He is supposed to feel a little familiar. @@Necromancist

@@O-bearer-minefr that's what I also do. But recently it's been hard to keep up with Destiny. Usually I play either Warframe or Destiny a lot for a couple of weeks and then drop the game for some months after feeling burnt out. There's no issue doing that with Warframe, but if I don't play Destiny for a while I end up missing out on seasons, a bunch of rewards and more... and it's all stuff I paid for!!
@@fathergascoigne1457😂 bs no time gates for content in destiny or $90 skins also raids and actually requiring team work and hard content and bosses, and the fact that any casual enemy can be a problem if you're not paying attention in Destiny (can never happen in warframe) not to mention actually enjoyable PVP, remind of a an actual reason for a perssistent internet connection to be needed to play Warframe when it's so solo centric? What a sad game that required more skill at launch I'd say 3 years after that there was a skill gap no longer, DE caved to power trip easy mode no stamina meter, easy parkour, nukes infintite survavbility/boring etc. 😂😂😂😂

I don't mind admitting this - that song during the Soulframe boss battle? Kinda got me a little emotional ngl, great stuff right there. DE knows how to inject feeling into their music and they definitely succeeded in that one. Dunno if it's the chorus, or the deep resounding percussions or the melancholy lyrics or the singer's dark tone or its connection to the story being told or all of the above. Either way, amazing.

That new entrati world just makes me feel like Warframe is becoming more and more soulslike in certain parts. For example duviri melee combat, and the vast array of giant locations in the game that look wildly diffferent from eachother.

We know that some of the Orokin played favorites with some Warframes and did make certain Warwframes to fit their -fetishes- preferences. Clearly the Orokin who made Dagath either had trouble making eye contact or loved gettin sucked but his junk was too big.

Seriously, for 80 bucks i could buy 2 full games. And the fact that you can't get them seperately makes no sense!

Dark Sector was meant to be Warframe (space ninja and all), but DE was forced to change it to what we know today or they would not be allowed to release it. Then when they finally got the chance to do what they want they developed Warframe.

I stopped playing this game a long time ago, but watching this year's Tennocon reminded me the reason i loved this game in the first place.

I just realized something. They call the guy in WF1999 Arthur. And Excalibur was the Warframe used in the trailer and the first Warframe created. The "King Arthur" connection can't be ignored. Warframe 1999 is probably an origin story for how the guy who eventually becomes Excalibur found his with to Albrecht Entrati and everything that gets set into motion.

I honestly find the Hydroid rework the biggest meme of the event because everyone is hyped but don't wanna admit the fact they won't use him ever again outside of the first week or so just to test him
