Totally. Maybe wolfgang wanted to avoid questions? Which is totally acceptable, like what if he was distrusted or looked down on later on for hiding the content of his blackmail? Maybe this was his thought process. Plus he had already shown he wanted blackmails to be handled carefully. Seems pretty logical to me... Or maybe he just wanted to get his blackmail, while avoiding the tournament (he clearly didn't want to go), but toshiko caught him off guard... But it's definitely not a plothole.
1:59:33 It wasn't a plothole, Grace said that she left earlier than Wolfgang because he said that he is "sick" that's why he left after she left with Jean and thus Toshiko found him in the hallway.

@@anyameowie he could just lie about it since he's known for his way of words he could've easily just make up something like "I'm sick so I can't go" that explains why in the trial they were doubting Grace's testimony because of Toshiko's testimony.

It shouldn’t be official; it already seems much better than official Dangonronpa, the characters seem incredibly developed and interactions feel a lot less forced. I’d say putting it at the same level as official Dangonronpa is an insult to P:EG.

It perfectly does! - Conveyor belt: Althete part of Mathlete. -Pencils and Math stuff: Things used in math class! -Nails: Crusafixtion. -Fire: Lier, lier, pants on fire! -Dummy: She didn't trust anyone as they were 'mean' and 'rude'. The only time she trusted someone, the dummy, she lost her life. Those are all the things I noticed during Eva's execution, you may say Wolfgang met a shocking fate! Eva played with fire and got burned..
And the very obvious biblical references like how Eva is literally trying to walk up the stairs to “heaven” but inevitably fall down to “hell” for the crimes of being the first blackened aka the first sinner like Eve.

Wolfgang’s VA (Dazon) recorded some extra lines that wasn’t used. The creators made him film more lines so that the VA of Wolfgang *wouldn’t know* that he *died.* But unfortunately someone *spoiled* Wolfgang’s VA, so now *he knows* that Wolfgang is the first victim. We have a few voice lines of Wolfgang participating in the trial!! *(the extra lines aren’t canon btw)* In the unused lines, Wolfgang is talking about the murder case. It seems that *Eloise* is the killer *instead of Eva,* bc there is a line of Wolfgang sounding devastated talking about how he didn’t want to believe that it was Eloise.
@KiraSaiko11037 they just made Eloise the killer so that Wolfgang's VA wouldn't know who did it. But I do think it would interesting to see her be a blackened. Her ftes are so interesting, and I think a fencer execution would be cool.

Spoilers for the killer, PLEASE don't read unless you know, trust me - the reveal is worth the wait I love how Eva parallels the story of Adam and Eve, and not just because their names are similar. First of all, she's the first culprit, so she's the first to take the temptation of killing someone, like how Eve was the first to disobey God. But the devs went that step further and had her take secret information no one else had (the cipher and therefore the perk) and confide in Damon (Adam) who tells her to keep it between them (which kind of feeds the temptation - fitting for his snake motif, as the snake was the one who tempted Eve to defy God). But she is punished for taking that forbidden knowledge by being forced to kill, similarly for how Adam and Eve were punished by being expelled from the Garden of Eden. ESPECIALLY having it found in the tree room, like Eve taking a fruit from the tree of knowledge, is just genius. I remember seeing a theory that Tozu could be some kind of cult leader, who takes the idea of original sin wayyyyy too far, and perhaps Damon was involved somehow (hence the snake motif). Because although in this scenario Tozu may be God by providing that tree and knowledge, he also is the snake in the way by tempting Eva in particular by making it math-related. Perhaps this could hint at a possible connection between him and Damon? Or possibly that Tozu sees himself as God (he might be the cult leader) but is actually closer to being the snake (which many believe to be Satan in disguise) Or maybe I'm overthinking it
@@J.MahargJustI actually made a comment about this too- when we found out Wolfgang was murdered? You would think the idea of a Wolf in sheep’s clothing, he would last longer and make a better impression as a killer in this game but he wasn’t. When In fact, this whole trial shows how well he hides behind a wolfs fur, as there is also the quote “A sheep in wolfs clothing.” His character makes better sense to a sheep in wolfs clothing, considering his name is Wolfgang, and he more acts tough and calm on the outside looking down on others. While on the inside, he’s scared and clearly has had family issues with his parents (only judging by the scene where he hallucinating, while Diana was telling us). If you would image a wolf hiding behind a sheep’s fur, this person would be calm and more welcoming- luring others in to their kindness and not taking the lead to draw attention. This would also for-tell everyone else too theoretically… with Diana saying she would change like a chameleon, shes going to probably try and take the lead in the group like where Wolfgang was. I initially thought with her chameleon bracelet, it was to show she would deceive others and slip past them unnoticed as a killer with how nice she’d act. However, since this change occurred during the games trial- it would most likely mean all these characters animal symbols could show there growth or what they truly are in this killing game… Of course ya know- the last bit is still a theory, not the best I’d say- I would need to brush on my Bible club learning to remember better of the stories to fully understand but ya-
So to answer your question on why Grace said Wolfgang was sick, it was because Wolfgang lied to her, and said he was sick. Grace then left at around 8:05 to go find a partner for the tournament. After she left, Wolfgang went to go get a knife to protect himself. After he returned to the dorm hallway to go to the boiler room, Toshiko came to say hi. Wolfgang then lied again, saying he was going to the tournament. Toshiko took him for his word, and then went to the pharmacy, while Wolfgang went to the boiler room. This was around 8:10. I hope I explained it properly.
2:30:08 Does it really surprise you that Damon feels this way towards her after that? Riding on the coattails of an extremely draining trial and after witnessing the brutal execution of one of their classmates, here comes Diana center stage to begin her hope spiel and try to rally the other students. She steps forward with her head held high whilst everyone else's are dangling low, radiating light in the face of the others' darkness. Before finally proclaiming her intent to follow in their fallen leader's footsteps, prevent anyone else from dying like, and _save everyone from this Killing Game!_ ...Is it any wonder the other students didn't support Diana in the slightest here? None of them are receptive to what she's saying rn (not to mention the timing of her speech was pretty damn bad). The reason Wolfgang was successful at rallying the others at the end of the Prologue was because not only had the gravity of the situation fully settled on everyone yet, but Wolfgang could make a pretty strong argument that everyone could resist their kidnappers' temptations. They were Ultimates, the *best* humanity had to offer, and so they could convince themselves they could rally together and not give in to these terrible machinations. Eva's treachery changed all of that. The other Ultimates have already heard these platitudes before, and so Diana's intention of raising everyone's spirits and reigniting resistance to the Killing Game just ran hollow. They're all feeling Beaten. Drained. Betrayed. And most importantly? Probably at least a little contemptuous that Diana has the gall to hold her head high and try to play the inspiring leader after all that's happened. Not even Wolfgang would've been able to inspire everyone in a situation like this. And of course Damon is going to be pissed off, too! In his mind, she's effectively saying she's going to serve as the new Wolfgang of the group and perpetuate the same mindset which led to blood being spilled in the first place. The fact that Diana is doubling down on believing everyone runs so contrary to what everyone else is experiencing and pisses him the hell off. I'd like to believe a small part of Damon is so upset because she's setting herself up for heartbreak by trying so hard to double down on this; that after all the heartache she's experienced, he doesn't want her to get hurt again. But, at the same time, probably a lot of his feelings boil down to sheer fury that she's sticking to her guns on the rhetoric Wolfgang perpetuated. The ideas that he and Eva got ostracized for arguing against. I'm not trying to knock on Diana for the sake of it here, far from it! I hold Diana dearly after this Chapter, and I sincerely want to see way more of her going forward and for she and Damon to come to an understanding. But it can't be denied that her hope speech here was about as well received as Damon and Eva's arguments against Wolfgang after the Mock Trial. Which is funny, since we all clowned on Damon for how much he inserted his foot in his mouth back then lol. And _yes!_ While there are significant differences between Damon and Diana's messages and motivations for speaking, they were both similarly ill-thought out and ill-received and got the appropriate reactions from the other students. Hopefully they don't come to blows next chapter, but we'll see. But yeah, there was a reason Damon felt so harshly about her for doing all that...
I can see Damon’s side, and I can also see hers. She’s likely living as Wolfgang vicariously to mask her guilt, or cover up like makeup. I can see this crashing down on her badly if she continues this narrative in her head that the outer looks/impressions make the person beneath. She may either die or be the killer very soon
I gotta disagree with your take on Diana and the reactions in that scene. I get that everyone’s hurting after the trial, but the way they treat Diana is just not okay. She wasn’t trying to brush off anyone’s feelings or force them to get over it-she was genuinely trying to give them some hope, which they desperately needed. It was about honoring his memory and trying to stop more deaths. That takes guts. The fact that the other students, especially Damon, came at her with so much hostility says more about their own issues than anything about Diana. Put it this way: Imagine if you lost someone close and a family member tried to remind everyone of your bond and keep their memory alive. Would you tell them to “shut up” and that they “don’t understand”? No way. That’d be super insensitive. But that’s what happened to Diana, and you’re trying to defend it? That’s messed up. There’s no excuse for being that harsh to someone who’s just trying to help. Damon’s anger is especially misplaced. Just because he’s got issues with Wolfgang’s ideals and what happened in the trial doesn’t give him a free pass to be a jerk to Diana. She’s not trying to push some harmful agenda-she’s trying to prevent the very despair and betrayal that he hates. Instead of supporting someone who’s trying to bring some light into a really dark situation, they just tear her down and leave her isolated. That’s not a reflection of Diana; it’s a reflection on everyone else. And honestly, it’s kinda disturbing that so many people are siding with Damon and trying to justify this behavior. Diana’s speech wasn’t perfect, but it came from a good place, and she was being brave. She deserves credit for that, not the hate she got. She should've realized that nobody was in the mood to hear such blatantly forced positivity when they were all struggling to process losing two of their fellow students in one day. Not to mention, she came across as extremely entitled by insisting that she alone would carry on Wolfgang's legacy, and that whole "like a chameleon, I will adapt" remark was obviously in reference to herself, and came across as self-centered. And in spite of her claim that she cared about Eva, she didn't acknowledge her once in her entire speech, which proved that Eva was right for calling Diana out on her Wolfgang bias.

Yeah my top 2 are gone ☹ I still love Damon, especially with what he said at the end. I love main characters like that. Of course I love ones like Makoto too but the more negative ones always get me more interested. At least I have him lol. Kai is also my boy since he's pretty cute so hopefully he stays a while

Obviously i was wrong but i thought it was cool in the moment Also, if Damon is a snake and Tozu is a goat (a symbol of the devil), and the snake is theorized to be the devil, could it be possible that there is a plot twist involving a relationship with Tozu and Damon?

Something i just now noticed: When Eva said that they shouldn't read the student bios, Diana agreed with her. If she looked at the student profiles, she would've recognized something was off with Wolfgang's signature. Eva played the long con lmao

Low key I really hope your memory is just bad bc the way you didn’t understand some of the things that happened is worrisome Spoilers: How Wolfgang was drugged: you literally come to the conclusion that a syringe was used earlier in the trial, which matches with the small puncture wound on his neck Marks on Wolfgang’s hands: explained in the first 20 minutes of the trial as being the result of major electrical burns exacerbated by the water. Eva’s “alibi”: its stated explicitly that Eva must’ve lied about her setting up the game tournament early. There was no plot hole. “Was the Lithium battery a backup plan, bc what if Wolfgang had killed Diana”: not only is it not a backup plan (as it’s explained pretty explicitly that such a battery would’ve carried with it an insane electrical charge that would’ve been severely set off in contact with water/would’ve made the generator set off a major electric surge), it’s explained that even Wolfgang potentially killing Diana was accounted for, as Eva predicted that Wolfgang’s behavior would scare Diana from getting too close. Even if she was wrong, Eva thought that if Diana had died then, the survivors would’ve just assumed that Diana tried to kill Wolfgang and it went wrong, or the other way around maybe. Either way, they would’ve failed to think of a potential third party.
Great stuff but thinking the sickness thing was a plot hole is wild. The sickness. Eva saying she was setting up the event so she couldnt have attacked him. The syringe. The battery killing him because of the shock, not the explosion itself... All that stuff got addressed in the trial, my mam... Just what happens when u blitz thru the dialogue so often. Eva's animal is a raven. What are raven know for? Stealing items/shiny thing. This is a parallel to how much Eva stole to commite this murder. Also raven is often a symbol of death.

Definitely would read the comments now that the chapter is over! Maybe react to the memes that the community has made? Also i believe Wolfgang was a reversal of the ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’ hence his symbol being a sheep. He was innocent all along. Maybe had some tendencies that would interfere with his Lawyer career (like strong morals that wouldn’t let him be unbiased) and that was holding him back from being a good lawyer (maybe like his father?) Also Eva was done very well with her being the first murderer. Very surface level observation but she kinda parallels Eve from the Bible with the temptation provided by Tozu (and the names being similar) and her connection with Damon (whose animal is a snake). (There’s another comment a little further down that really takes it a step further but these were my thoughts on it) Damon is such an interesting protagonist as well! I really like how he’s written as someone who everyone leans on during the trials but is pretty standoffish outside of them. He’s smart, but doesn’t trust anyone(well except Eva and now…yeah). Wonder if he’ll end up trusting anyone else like that. But he doesn’t go out of his way to make connections with the others because (in theory) he wants to keep them all at arms length.
The game is called *Eden’s Garden,* it’s full of parallels! Everyone’s got an animal motif to fit the theming, which makes each of them just a bit more interesting. As highlighted here, Wolfgang both represents a sheep and a wolf but diverts the trope as more of a sheep. Eva is, as indicated by her embroiderered details and hair, is a black sheep, an OUTCAST. It really does make you start wondering how other characters will fulfill or divert their themes. Edit: NVM EVA’S A RAVEN MY BAD
I see people say that this game is like a real new Danganronpa but I honestly think that is unfair to Edens Garden because in many ways I believe the writing in this is better than a large chunk of Danganronpa writing ever was. I feel that Danganronpa games have always better in hindsight because you don't remember all the “fat” in the story but this game just doesn't have it to begin with and somehow i'm more interested in this group of characters as a whole then i were for many of the official Danganronpa casts.
Killer Spoilers 1:12:06 im glad i wasnt the only one who thought of checking out the CG. i figured out pretty early on in part 2 of the trial that the only way for the killer to kill wolfgang without Diana seeing them, was for the killer to use the vent in the dinning room and drop whatever killed wolfgang through it and into the room. By checking the CG, and seeing that eva was absent in it, i figured out she was the killer. I hadnt fully figured out all the details of how she did it, or what she used to electrocute him, but I had the killers identity down
Spoilers: Wolfgang left AFTER Grace left, Grace leaving with the morning announcement. Which was just when Toshiko was leaving the pharmacy, by the time Wolfgang did leave the room it was just before his meeting time and when Toshiko returned with the medicine. Probably left five minutes after Grace did.
Okay so I have a theory and it kind of has some spoilers, so…I guess read at your own risk. Okay, so I think it was generally agreed upon by fans that Eva was going to be the “helper” character and Wolfgang was going to be the “rival” character. Obviously, that doesn’t work anymore since both of them are dead. Now, on Spotify, for one of the pictures on the Main Theme, it shows Cassidy and Jett being loomed over by a menacing Damon. And, in some artwork of Cassidy without her hat, she has a tiny ahoge (yes I got this from Weebynewz). So, what if at some point, Cassidy becomes the new protagonist, Jett becomes the helper (seeing as they already seem kind of close), and Damon becomes the rival. I am very much stretching this and have nothing to go off of other than cover art of a song and my own brain but hey.
That would be very interesting just from the animal motifs alone. I mean a trio of a spider, coyote, and snake just sounds like an implosion waiting to happen.
Just an idea: it'd be awesome if you played through the free-time events for all the different characters here, so we can get some of that backstory for folks like Wolfgang... what a wonderful series to keep up with!!

That would be awful, Diana's speech made her really annoying. Damon being different from the Danganronpa main characters is really nice. Plus that speech really gave her a massive upcoming death flag.

I still don't understand how fast he forgets things that were spoken about and confirmed. Honestly since he can't retain info for too long he needs to play these things all at once with no breaks cause it seems like even a 30 min break could make him forget important info.

Even though I got spoiled by the execution scene, I still can't get the shivers out of my spine until now when I see the blackened's facial expression. Feels raw and real and if I was on their shoes, I would feel the same agony and despair. Props to the team who made the execution so terrifying that I would shed a tear over more than Chiaki's execution in the official Danganronpa 2. This game is masterpiece and deserves to be a part as official spin-off something.

It wasn't a plothole, Grace said that she left earlier than Wolfgang because he said that he is "sick" that's why he left after she left with Jean and thus Toshiko found him in the hallway.
But wasn’t he sick to the point he was like bed ridden (at the moment)? And Toshiko said he didn’t look sick when she saw him in the hallway, didn’t she? This is the only part that has me confused.

It shouldn’t be official; it already seems much better than official Dangonronpa, the characters seem incredibly developed and interactions feel a lot less forced. I’d say putting it at the same level as official Dangonronpa is an insult to P:EG.

Wolfgang’s VA (Dazon) recorded some extra lines that wasn’t used. The creators made him film more lines so that the VA of Wolfgang *wouldn’t know* that he *died.* But unfortunately someone *spoiled* Wolfgang’s VA, so now *he knows* that Wolfgang is the first victim. We have a few voice lines of Wolfgang participating in the trial!!

In the unused lines, Wolfgang is talking about the murder case. It seems that *Eloise* is the killer *instead of Eva,* bc there is a line of Wolfgang sounding devastated talking about how he didn’t want to believe that it was Eloise.

A gruesome detail is that before Eva's execution, the podium she grabs onto is Wolfgang's.
Spoilers for the killer, PLEASE don't read unless you know, trust me - the reveal is worth the wait
I love how Eva parallels the story of Adam and Eve, and not just because their names are similar.
First of all, she's the first culprit, so she's the first to take the temptation of killing someone, like how Eve was the first to disobey God.
But the devs went that step further and had her take secret information no one else had (the cipher and therefore the perk) and confide in Damon (Adam) who tells her to keep it between them (which kind of feeds the temptation - fitting for his snake motif, as the snake was the one who tempted Eve to defy God). But she is punished for taking that forbidden knowledge by being forced to kill, similarly for how Adam and Eve were punished by being expelled from the Garden of Eden. ESPECIALLY having it found in the tree room, like Eve taking a fruit from the tree of knowledge, is just genius.
I remember seeing a theory that Tozu could be some kind of cult leader, who takes the idea of original sin wayyyyy too far, and perhaps Damon was involved somehow (hence the snake motif). Because although in this scenario Tozu may be God by providing that tree and knowledge, he also is the snake in the way by tempting Eva in particular by making it math-related. Perhaps this could hint at a possible connection between him and Damon? Or possibly that Tozu sees himself as God (he might be the cult leader) but is actually closer to being the snake (which many believe to be Satan in disguise)

You would think the idea of a Wolf in sheep’s clothing, he would last longer and make a better impression as a killer in this game but he wasn’t. When In fact, this whole trial shows how well he hides behind a wolfs fur, as there is also the quote “A sheep in wolfs clothing.” His character makes better sense to a sheep in wolfs clothing, considering his name is Wolfgang, and he more acts tough and calm on the outside looking down on others. While on the inside, he’s scared and clearly has had family issues with his parents (only judging by the scene where he hallucinating, while Diana was telling us). If you would image a wolf hiding behind a sheep’s fur, this person would be calm and more welcoming- luring others in to their kindness and not taking the lead to draw attention.
This would also for-tell everyone else too theoretically… with Diana saying she would change like a chameleon, shes going to probably try and take the lead in the group like where Wolfgang was. I initially thought with her chameleon bracelet, it was to show she would deceive others and slip past them unnoticed as a killer with how nice she’d act. However, since this change occurred during the games trial- it would most likely mean all these characters animal symbols could show there growth or what they truly are in this killing game…
Of course ya know- the last bit is still a theory, not the best I’d say- I would need to brush on my Bible club learning to remember better of the stories to fully understand but ya-

So to answer your question on why Grace said Wolfgang was sick, it was because Wolfgang lied to her, and said he was sick. Grace then left at around 8:05 to go find a partner for the tournament. After she left, Wolfgang went to go get a knife to protect himself. After he returned to the dorm hallway to go to the boiler room, Toshiko came to say hi. Wolfgang then lied again, saying he was going to the tournament. Toshiko took him for his word, and then went to the pharmacy, while Wolfgang went to the boiler room. This was around 8:10. I hope I explained it properly.

Riding on the coattails of an extremely draining trial and after witnessing the brutal execution of one of their classmates, here comes Diana center stage to begin her hope spiel and try to rally the other students. She steps forward with her head held high whilst everyone else's are dangling low, radiating light in the face of the others' darkness. Before finally proclaiming her intent to follow in their fallen leader's footsteps, prevent anyone else from dying like, and _save everyone from this Killing Game!_
...Is it any wonder the other students didn't support Diana in the slightest here? None of them are receptive to what she's saying rn (not to mention the timing of her speech was pretty damn bad). The reason Wolfgang was successful at rallying the others at the end of the Prologue was because not only had the gravity of the situation fully settled on everyone yet, but Wolfgang could make a pretty strong argument that everyone could resist their kidnappers' temptations. They were Ultimates, the *best* humanity had to offer, and so they could convince themselves they could rally together and not give in to these terrible machinations. Eva's treachery changed all of that. The other Ultimates have already heard these platitudes before, and so Diana's intention of raising everyone's spirits and reigniting resistance to the Killing Game just ran hollow. They're all feeling Beaten. Drained. Betrayed. And most importantly? Probably at least a little contemptuous that Diana has the gall to hold her head high and try to play the inspiring leader after all that's happened. Not even Wolfgang would've been able to inspire everyone in a situation like this.
And of course Damon is going to be pissed off, too! In his mind, she's effectively saying she's going to serve as the new Wolfgang of the group and perpetuate the same mindset which led to blood being spilled in the first place. The fact that Diana is doubling down on believing everyone runs so contrary to what everyone else is experiencing and pisses him the hell off. I'd like to believe a small part of Damon is so upset because she's setting herself up for heartbreak by trying so hard to double down on this; that after all the heartache she's experienced, he doesn't want her to get hurt again. But, at the same time, probably a lot of his feelings boil down to sheer fury that she's sticking to her guns on the rhetoric Wolfgang perpetuated. The ideas that he and Eva got ostracized for arguing against.
I'm not trying to knock on Diana for the sake of it here, far from it! I hold Diana dearly after this Chapter, and I sincerely want to see way more of her going forward and for she and Damon to come to an understanding. But it can't be denied that her hope speech here was about as well received as Damon and Eva's arguments against Wolfgang after the Mock Trial. Which is funny, since we all clowned on Damon for how much he inserted his foot in his mouth back then lol. And _yes!_ While there are significant differences between Damon and Diana's messages and motivations for speaking, they were both similarly ill-thought out and ill-received and got the appropriate reactions from the other students.
Hopefully they don't come to blows next chapter, but we'll see. But yeah, there was a reason Damon felt so harshly about her for doing all that...

I can see Damon’s side, and I can also see hers. She’s likely living as Wolfgang vicariously to mask her guilt, or cover up like makeup. I can see this crashing down on her badly if she continues this narrative in her head that the outer looks/impressions make the person beneath.

I gotta disagree with your take on Diana and the reactions in that scene. I get that everyone’s hurting after the trial, but the way they treat Diana is just not okay.
She wasn’t trying to brush off anyone’s feelings or force them to get over it-she was genuinely trying to give them some hope, which they desperately needed. It was about honoring his memory and trying to stop more deaths. That takes guts. The fact that the other students, especially Damon, came at her with so much hostility says more about their own issues than anything about Diana.
Put it this way: Imagine if you lost someone close and a family member tried to remind everyone of your bond and keep their memory alive. Would you tell them to “shut up” and that they “don’t understand”? No way. That’d be super insensitive. But that’s what happened to Diana, and you’re trying to defend it? That’s messed up. There’s no excuse for being that harsh to someone who’s just trying to help.
Damon’s anger is especially misplaced. Just because he’s got issues with Wolfgang’s ideals and what happened in the trial doesn’t give him a free pass to be a jerk to Diana. She’s not trying to push some harmful agenda-she’s trying to prevent the very despair and betrayal that he hates. Honestly, Damon’s hostility just shows he has no empathy for what Diana’s trying to do.
And let’s be real here: The timing of Diana’s speech wasn’t “bad.” It was actually pretty important. After everything that had just happened, they needed hope and some sense of unity more than ever. Maybe they were too overwhelmed to really take it in, but that doesn’t excuse how awful they were to her. If they disagree, just say, “Hey, maybe it’s not the right time right now?” But that’s not what happened; instead, we got Wenona playing the cynic dressed as a realist, then everyone awkwardly leaves the class trial. Basic human decency, empathy, and hope, gone like that.
This whole situation just shows how broken the group is. Instead of supporting someone who’s trying to bring some light into a really dark situation, they just tear her down and leave her isolated. That’s not a reflection of Diana; it’s a reflection on everyone else. And honestly, it’s kinda disturbing that so many people are siding with Damon and trying to justify this behavior.
Diana’s speech wasn’t perfect, but it came from a good place, and she was being brave. She deserves credit for that, not the hate she got. It’s disappointing to see this kind of negativity being praised, both in the story and in discussions like this.

Diana's speech was insensitive. She should've realized that nobody was in the mood to hear such blatantly forced positivity when they were all struggling to process losing two of their fellow students in one day. Not to mention, she came across as extremely entitled by insisting that she alone would carry on Wolfgang's legacy, and that whole "like a chameleon, I will adapt" remark was obviously in reference to herself, and came across as self-centered. And in spite of her claim that she cared about Eva, she didn't acknowledge her once in her entire speech, which proved that Eva was right for calling Diana out on her Wolfgang bias.

How Wolfgang was drugged: you literally come to the conclusion that a syringe was used earlier in the trial, which matches with the small puncture wound on his neck
Marks on Wolfgang’s hands: explained in the first 20 minutes of the trial as being the result of major electrical burns exacerbated by the water.
Eva’s “alibi”: its stated explicitly that Eva must’ve lied about her setting up the game tournament early. There was no plot hole.
“Was the Lithium battery a backup plan, bc what if Wolfgang had killed Diana”: not only is it not a backup plan (as it’s explained pretty explicitly that such a battery would’ve carried with it an insane electrical charge that would’ve been severely set off in contact with water/would’ve made the generator set off a major electric surge), it’s explained that even Wolfgang potentially killing Diana was accounted for, as Eva predicted that Wolfgang’s behavior would scare Diana from getting too close. Even if she was wrong, Eva thought that if Diana had died then, the survivors would’ve just assumed that Diana tried to kill Wolfgang and it went wrong, or the other way around maybe. Either way, they would’ve failed to think of a potential third party.
Great stuff but thinking the sickness thing was a plot hole is wild. The sickness. Eva saying she was setting up the event so she couldnt have attacked him. The syringe. The battery killing him because of the shock, not the explosion itself... All that stuff got addressed in the trial, my mam... Just what happens when u blitz thru the dialogue so often. That's my biggest criticism

Also i believe Wolfgang was a reversal of the ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’ hence his symbol being a sheep. He was innocent all along. Maybe had some tendencies that would interfere with his Lawyer career (like strong morals that wouldn’t let him be unbiased) and that was holding him back from being a good lawyer (maybe like his father?)
Also Eva was done very well with her being the first murderer. Very surface level observation but she kinda parallels Eve from the Bible with the temptation provided by Tozu (and the names being similar) and her connection with Damon (whose animal is a snake). (There’s another comment a little further down that really takes it a step further but these were my thoughts on it)
Damon is such an interesting protagonist as well! I really like how he’s written as someone who everyone leans on during the trials but is pretty standoffish outside of them. He’s smart, but doesn’t trust anyone(well except Eva and now…yeah). Wonder if he’ll end up trusting anyone else like that. But he doesn’t go out of his way to make connections with the others because (in theory) he wants to keep them all at arms length.
The game is called *Eden’s Garden,* it’s full of parallels! Everyone’s got an animal motif to fit the theming, which makes each of them just a bit more interesting.
As highlighted here, Wolfgang both represents a sheep and a wolf but diverts the trope as more of a sheep.
Eva is, as indicated by her embroiderered details and hair, is a black sheep, an OUTCAST. It really does make you start wondering how other characters will fulfill or divert their themes.

I see people say that this game is like a real new Danganronpa but I honestly think that is unfair to Edens Garden because in many ways I believe the writing in this is better than a large chunk of Danganronpa writing ever was. I feel that Danganronpa games have always better in hindsight because you don't remember all the “fat” in the story but this game just doesn't have it to begin with and somehow i'm more interested in this group of characters as a whole then i were for many of the official Danganronpa casts.

1:12:06 im glad i wasnt the only one who thought of checking out the CG. i figured out pretty early on in part 2 of the trial that the only way for the killer to kill wolfgang without Diana seeing them, was for the killer to use the vent in the dinning room and drop whatever killed wolfgang through it and into the room. By checking the CG, and seeing that eva was absent in it, i figured out she was the killer. I hadnt fully figured out all the details of how she did it, or what she used to electrocute him, but I had the killers identity down

Wolfgang left AFTER Grace left, Grace leaving with the morning announcement. Which was just when Toshiko was leaving the pharmacy, by the time Wolfgang did leave the room it was just before his meeting time and when Toshiko returned with the medicine. Probably left five minutes after Grace did.
Wolfgang obviously being a sheep in wolf’s clothing against the obvious saying is always funny to me
Okay so I have a theory and it kind of has some spoilers, so…I guess read at your own risk.
Okay, so I think it was generally agreed upon by fans that Eva was going to be the “helper” character and Wolfgang was going to be the “rival” character. Obviously, that doesn’t work anymore since both of them are dead. Now, on Spotify, for one of the pictures on the Main Theme, it shows Cassidy and Jett being loomed over by a menacing Damon. And, in some artwork of Cassidy without her hat, she has a tiny ahoge (yes I got this from Weebynewz). So, what if at some point, Cassidy becomes the new protagonist, Jett becomes the helper (seeing as they already seem kind of close), and Damon becomes the rival. I am very much stretching this and have nothing to go off of other than cover art of a song and my own brain but hey.
That would be very interesting just from the animal motifs alone. I mean a trio of a spider, coyote, and snake just sounds like an implosion waiting to happen.

Just an idea: it'd be awesome if you played through the free-time events for all the different characters here, so we can get some of that backstory for folks like Wolfgang... what a wonderful series to keep up with!!

My reasoning behind this is what he said last he hates the fact that she's trying to be exactly like Wolfgang what's wrong with being helpful
The problem is Damien is a snake the creature that is known for being bad in general from Adam and Eve from jungle book from multiple other storytells

That would be awful, Diana's speech made her really annoying. Damon being different from the Danganronpa main characters is really nice. Plus that speech really gave her a massive upcoming death flag.
I guessed correctly on the killer but the method all wrong, thought there was a mini bomb that electrocuted the water. I hope chapter 2 comes out soon, this is amazing for a fan project.

Even though I got spoiled by the execution scene, I still can't get the shivers out of my spine until now when I see the blackened's facial expression. Feels raw and real and if I was on their shoes, I would feel the same agony and despair. Props to the team who made the execution so terrifying that I would shed a tear over more than Chiaki's execution in the official Danganronpa 2. This game is masterpiece and deserves to be a part as official spin-off something.
